You can filter your results by including advanced operators in your search. Below are some Images specific operators. Hint: you can also use most Google Web Search operators. Check out More search help to learn more.
- filetype: Limit results to image files of a certain type; try it on a search like [ kittens filetype:jpg ].
- imagesize: Limit results to images of a particular size (measured in pixels). For instance, try a search for [ favicons imagesize:16x16 ] (the first number is the width; the second, the height).
- source: Limit results to images from a particular source, like Life. Try it: [ marilyn monroe source:life ].
You can do the same type of filtering -- plus a little more -- from the Advanced Image Search page. Tailor results in the following ways:
- Search for a specific phrase (this is also possible by [ "surrounding your search with quotes" ]).
- Search for words related to your search.
- Exclude words (you can do this in the search box by putting a minus sign right before the [ -word ] you want to exclude).
- Filter by type of image (like faces or photos, or file type).
- Filter by image coloration.
- Filter by domain.
