Thanks for your many useful reports. We are getting close to tracking down the root cause of the reboots during calls and are currently testing a fix to resolve the issue.
I'll come back to keep you informed once we know more.
The initial results of our tests look very promising. At this rate we will most likely be rolling out an OTA to resolve this issue within one to two weeks. We really appreciate your patience as we do our final verifications on this fix before sending it out.
Finalizing the build for an OTA update has taken a bit longer than I originally anticipated, but we are getting very close. The team is working diligently to get everything ready, so hang in there just a bit longer. Your patience is very much appreciated.
I'm very glad we can finally provide an OTA update to address the reboot issue. The team worked really hard to get this and a bunch of other stuff fixed (while adding some cool new NFC capabilities). Thanks for gutting this one out with us, your patience is very much appreciated.
If you experience any problems with Android 2.3.3, please post the issue to a separate thread.
i seem to be having this issue, but it seems i get reboots while on phone calls, i havent made many phone calls, but three out of about ten calls ended with a reboot. super annoying

Also, I have had three audio players (stock Music, Winamp, and PowerAmp), and one sound app (Nap Time Sound) "stick" and reboot. Each time, it sounds like a "stuck CD" for a few seconds, then reboots.
I'm having the same problem. So far, my Nexus S has only rebooted during calls. Very short calls haven't been affected, but it seems that ~80% of calls over 3 minutes result in a reboot.

I've been having the same trouble. Today, my phone has rebooted 4 times while I've been on calls to the same person. The first 3 times I was on the phone for at least 20-30 minutes. The last time it happened, I was only on the call for about 3 minutes.

This is SO annoying. I'm going to return the phone if this isn't fixed in the next few weeks. Here is another thread with the exact same issue (star it and maybe they will notice):
My issue as i mentioned happens randomly without me being on a call at all hopefully this issue relates to the random reboots fellow users are experiencing during calls. Thank Ry for your investigation and getting with Samsung to resolve this issue.
I have exchanged my Nexus S already becoz of this problem and am still seeing the same problem. It happens only during the phone calls. I will have no choice to return the phone back to BestBuy before my 30 day period gets over. I love the phone hence spent $570 bucks. But cant live with this issue for a longer periods.
I also do not have/never had Launcher Pro. From what I've read, it seems like a software issue with the update. People who do factory reset and don't install the update don't seem to have the issue. Please confirm/deny
i hope they can provide a fix ASAP.. we dont have long to go for our 28 days.. if it is indeed a software problem someone needs to let us know immediately.. if it is not a software problem then we need to be able to return these devices back ASAP..
Lol.. how long does it take.. all we want to know is if this a hardware or software issue.. I'm really hoping not to return this.. however seems you guys have left me with no choice..
Had reboots during calls after the 2.3.1 update. These seem to have gone away since I did a factory reset, although I am closely monitoring the situation.
I have random reboots too. Not during calls actually, mostly when I am using apps and rarely just on its own. When I first had several days of occasional reboots I did a factory reset and it stopped. Couple of days later I installed swype, which was the only thing I hadn't reinstalled since reset and it started all over. Might be just a conincidence though.
