Personalizing Google Finance: Creating a portfolio

Print

To create a Google Finance portfolio you first need to create a Google Account. Once you have a Google Account, creating a portfolio is easy:

  1. Click the Portfolio link in the left navigation bar of the Google Finance page.
  2. Click Create a Portfolio on the right side of the page.
  3. Name your portfolio, and click OK.

Google Finance portfolios allow you to keep track of financial information, including how many shares you own and at what price. If you want to add a company or fund to your portfolio, you can do so directly from the portfolio page or you can click Add to Portfolio at the top of the company or mutual fund search result.
