(57) ABSTRACT
A notebook including a plurality ol sheets ol paper bound together. Each paper ol the plurality ol sheets having a generally elongate opening located therein, each opening being aligned with an opening ol any adjacent sheets ol paper and being sized and shaped to receive a writing instrument therethrough. The notebook lurther includes a cover coupled to the plurality ol sheets ol paper, the cover being movable to a closed position wherein the cover is generally parallel to and laces a top sheet ol the plurality ol sheets ol paper. The cover has at least one ol a thickness or stiffness that is greater than each sheet ol the plurality ol sheets ol paper. The notebook lurther includes a retaining mechanism to retain the cover in the closed position.
