Debido a las reducidas dimensiones de estos orificios (0,5 mm - 2 mm) y al ángulo de salida (45°) con el que se han diseñado se consigue que el semen sea proyectado a alta velocidad por tres orificios simultáneamente, lo que facilita que el semen progrese más allá del segundo pliegue que es el más problemático.
