The utility model relates to specialist furniture intended for radio receivers, television sets, tape recorders and media players, in particular this utility model relates to stands for home cinemas having special features whereby such stands have special closed or open apertures for television sets and posts for acoustic speakers. The technical result of the utility model consists in increasing the quality of audio transmission and also increasing the robustness of the structure. Said technical result is achieved by a stand for a home cinema which is characterized in that it comprises an upper panel which forms a tabletop, and a lower panel which forms a shelf, and hollow lateral posts which are connected to the panels in such a way that they form an aperture for a television in the central part of the stand, wherein the lateral posts have, on at least one of the sides, vertically oriented slots which are divided by connecting strips, wherein the ratio of the height to the width of the slot is from 15 to 45, and the ratio of the width of the slot to the width of the connecting strip is from 1.25 to 3.75.
