Abstract
The present invention relates to a novel fullerene derivative and a preparation method thereof. The fullerene derivative of the present invention has a structure comprising cationic fullerenes and counter anions. The fullerene derivative which has a wide range of solvents as well as high solubility and stability can be quickly and simply synthesized in mild reaction conditions. In addition, the fullerene derivative does not react with oxygen or moisture in the air, so it is stable and has little structural deformation mainly affecting mechanical and electrical properties. Furthermore, anions of the fullerene derivative according to the present invention can be exchanged for other anions through a simple method, and the dissolution property can be freely changed according to the kind of solvent required for the dissolution of fullerene.
