Description
SAFETY HOLDER FOR FIREARMS AND THE LIKE
The present invention relates to a safety holder for firearms and the like.
Firearms kept by civilians for sports or self-defense use are currently generally closed in safety cabinets or drawers.
Racks for hunting rifles are known, for example, to which such rifles are fastened by means of chains, which lock them to such racks by means of provided padlocks.
Cabinets are also known which are provided with racks both for rifles and for other firearms and are provided with locks and are optionally armored.
In order to avoid accidental firing, the firearms are usually stored unloaded and therefore not ready for use.
Particularly if these firearms are used for self-defense, there is a contrast between the need to store them safely, so as to prevent unauthorized users from having them at their disposal while avoiding the risk of accidental firing, and the need to have this type of firearm available promptly and in such conditions that it is ready to fire.
If the firearm is kept in safety and therefore unloaded and closed in a drawer or cabinet it is not in fact promptly at the user's disposal, since it is necessary to open the drawer or cabinet, generally by means of a key, and then the firearm needs to be loaded, Vice versa, preparing a loaded firearm capable of firing by storing it in an easily accessible receptacle is a dangerous solution, since the firearm is easily available to unauthorized users, to the full disadvantage of safety.
