A heart valve prosthesis assembly (30) comprising a first member (38); a second member (40) and; connectors (45) for coupling the first and second members (38, 40) so as to clamp tissue associated with a native valve ring associated with a damanged native heart valve such that said tissue is intermediate said first and second members (35, 40).
