Abstract

The invention relates to a support implant (11) for supporting a tubular body part, in particular a stent for supporting a blood vessel. The support element has a spiral element (17), which is coiled about a virtual axis. This coiled element is a strip element (12), the width thereof being greater than the thickness thereof, and which is wound into a coiled strip element (17). The width of the strip element (12) is oriented in the direction of the axis and the thickness thereof is oriented perpendicular to the direction of the axis. The strip element (12) is expediently manufactured as a spring and has a perforation (13), the holes thereof penetrating the strip element (12) in the direction of the thickness. Said holes may contain active ingredient depots. The coiled strip element (17) advantageously has sections (15a, 15b), which are twisted opposite to one another. The support implant particularly advantageously has an inner lip (40) and an outer lip (41), wherein the rotational directions of coils lying one above another oppose one another. This is the double coil strip spring.
