Abstract
高速光増幅器は、ネットワークの複雑化に伴うルーティング要求の高まりから、重要な光デバイスとされている。従来の技術では、応答性能が満足できるものではなく、10マイクロ秒以下の高速応答性能を実現することが課題となっていた。 本発明の光増幅器は、入力モニタ手段500と、光増幅媒体300を含む光増幅手段310と、フィードフォワード制御を行うための制御手段400とを含み、入力モニタ手段500の信号に応じて前記光増幅手段を前記フィードフォワード制御により制御する際に、制御信号をオーバシュート信号にすることで、前記光増幅媒体固有の遅い応答性能を改善し、高速応答性能を実現した。
