Abstract

A handheld device is network-enabled and comprises a sensor for sensing the device's orientation with regard to a reference, and a display monitor. Changing the orientation results in transmission of data being sent that is representative of the change. This enables control of a remote apparatus via the network. The apparatus comprises a camera, or is being monitored by a camera, that captures images sent back to the device for providing visual feedback to the user via the display.
