Abstract

A description is given of an acetabular cup (1) for a hip prosthesis, provided with a stem (1) for fixing it in the iliac bone (3), this stem (2) having a free end portion (2p) that fits by complementarity of shape into a cavity (4) formed in the acetabular cup (1) . In the acetabular cup (1) of the invention the longitudinal axis (y-y) of the said portion (2p) is inclined at an angle (α) with respect to the longitudinal axis (z-z) of the remaining part (2r) of the said stem (2) .
