Abstract

Disclosed herein is a method of providing a security mail service for children. The method includes the steps of registering URLs of general mail web sites besides security mails for children in a selective booking list, registering a password of a user who can have an access to the URLs registered in the selective blocking list, blocking a user’s computer from having an access to the URLs registered in the selective blocking list, confirming an input password by the user, and allowing access to the URLs only when the input password is identical to the registered password, but not allowing access to the URLs when the input password is not identical to the registered password.

Description

MΆIL SYSTEM FOR KIDS
Technical Field The present invention relates a security mail for children.
Background Art
Conventionally, there are services standing for security mails for children. In view of the fact that free mail services are spread worldwide, it is difficult to expect that children may use only security mails for children to which their parents have registered as members on behalf of them. Thus, its effects are not sufficient .
Technical Problem Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to protect children from pornographic spam e-mails, by allowing them to use only security mails for children to which their parents have registered as members on behalf of them.
Technical Solution To achieve the above object, according to the present invention, there is provided a method of providing a child security mail service, including the steps of registering URLs of general mail web sites besides security mails for children in a selective blocking list, registering a password of a user who can have an access to the URLs registered in the selective blocking list, blocking a user's computer from having an access
to the URLs registered in the selective blocking list, confirming an input password by the user, and allowing access to the URLs only when the input password is identical to the registered password, but not allowing access to the URLs when the input password is not identical to the registered password.
Advantageous Effects
The present invention has an advantage in that it allows children to use only safe mail services for children.
Brief Description of Drawings FIG. 1 is a flowchart for implementing the present invention.
Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention The present invention is largely divided into a section for
providing a child security mail service and a section for blocking access to general mail service web site. In this case, the section for blocking access to general mail service web site can be provided by a service center that is operated by ISP, etc. or can be directly installed at a user computer. In either case, it can be said that the process implemented according to the present invention is the same. Thus, it will not be specially discriminated whether programs or data for performing a specific process is installed at the service center or at the user computer. Further, a technology for blocking web sites referring to lists is well known in the art. It will not be thus described further.
The present invention will now be described in detail in connection with preferred embodiments with reference to the drawing .
FIG. 1 is a flowchart for implementing the present invention. Process of Providing Security Mail Service for Children A process (S510) of providing a child security mail service may include all child security mail services that are implemented by existing various methods. Selective Blocking List Registration Process The term "selective blocking list" refers to a list in
which URLs of general mail service web sites are registered
(S100) in order not to block mail service web sites used by the adults only if an adult password is confirmed in the case where one computer is commonly used by children and the adults. The mail service is, however, usually additionally provided along with portal web sites or other services. It is thus required to block only mail pages except for all services provided by a corresponding web site. For example, it is assumed that a portal web site called www . naver . com provides a general mail service. In this case, only a received mailbox page address of the general mail service, such as
"mail.naver.com/mailist.html", and a spam mailbox page address such as "mail.naver.com/spam.html" can be registered in the selective blocking list. By doing so, a user can be provided wit all services of the portal web site except for the general mail service.
Block Release Password Registration Process When the service is used or a program is installed first, a guardian of children registers a password without informing it to them(S200) . Selective Blocking List Confirmation Process When a user tries to have an access to an Internet web site (S300) , it is determined whether a URL of a corresponding web site exists in the selective blocking list (S400) . Selective Blocking Process If it is determined that an URL of a web site to which access will be made exists in the selective blocking list, such an access is once blocked (S500), a user is prompted to input a block release password into a password input window displayed on the computer screen, and then an input block release password is identified (S600) . If the input password is identical to the registered block release password, blocking of a corresponding web site is released for access (S710) . If the input block
release password is not identical to the registered password, blocking of a corresponding web site keeps intact (S700) . Through the above-mentioned processes, while children and their guardians commonly use children mails and general mails through one computer, the children can use only children mails.
Furthermore, in the case of a computer where biomatrics are installed, only users who are registered as children can be blocked according to a bio-recognition result instead of a block release password.
Industrial Applicability

Claims

What Is Claimed Is:
1. A service method of a security mail for children, comprising the steps of: providing a security mail service for children; registering URLs of general mail services, which will be registering a blocking release condition; confirming the list to be blocked; determining whether or not the blocking release condition is fulfilled; and if it is determined that the blocking release condition is not fulfilled, blocking access to the URLs registered in the
list, and if it is determined that the blocking release condition is fulfilled, not blocking access to the URLs.
