Description

Motor vehicle dashboard and corresponding motor vehicle.
On engage alors la fiche 43 de l'accessoire 23 dans l'une des cavitésThe present invention relates to a dashboard of a motor vehicle, of the type comprising: - a dashboard, having an outer face intended to be oriented towards the interior of the passenger compartment of the vehicle; - a steering wheel; - a glove compartment; - at least one additional accessory; and - means for fixing the additional accessory to the dashboard. A dashboard of the aforementioned type is known, which includes a removable ashtray, integrated in the dashboard, between the steering wheel and the glove compartment. The position of the ashtray is variable depending on the layout options of the vehicle in which the dashboard is to be integrated, for example depending on the position of the gearbox on the dashboard. The dashboard must therefore be designed and manufactured according to the interior design options of the vehicle, which leads to high costs of manufacturing the dashboard. An object of the invention is to solve this problem by providing a dashboard which is of reduced cost. To this end, the invention relates to a dashboard of the aforementioned type, characterized in that the fixing means comprise a mounting plug, intended to protrude relative to the additional accessory, in that a plurality complementary cavities, in which the plug can be received, are formed in the outer face of the dashboard, in that the plug is intended to be releasably engaged in one of the cavities, the additional accessory being arranged entirely outside the dashboard when the plug is engaged in said cavity. The dashboard according to the invention may include one or more of the following characteristics: - The fixing means further comprise a plug retaining member which is intended to cooperate releasably with the plug when the latter is engaged in the cavity; - The plug is movable relative to the additional accessory between a projecting position relative to the additional accessory and a retracted position; the dashboard comprises an electrical power source, and the plug comprises electrical connection means intended to electrically connect the additional accessory to the electrical power source when the plug is engaged in the cavity; the additional accessory comprises at least one light source electrically connected to the electrical connection means; - The dashboard includes a light source, and the plug comprises means for transmitting the light emitted by the light source to the additional accessory when the plug is engaged in the cavity; - the additional accessory is chosen from an ashtray, a cup holder, a support peg for a garment or a bag, a telephone device support, an electrical adapter, a bank or road card support , and a wallet. The invention further relates to a motor vehicle, comprising a dashboard as defined above. The vehicle according to the invention may include the following characteristic: - it comprises a floor, the dashboard being mounted entirely away from the floor. Examples of embodiments of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: - Figure 1 is a schematic, partial and perspective view of a first dashboard according to the invention, with an accessory in the free position; - Figure 2 is a partial schematic view in longitudinal section of the dashboard of Figure 1 with the accessory in the mounted position on the dashboard; - Figure 3 is a view similar to Figure 2, illustrating a second dashboard according to the invention; and - Figure 4 is a schematic perspective view of another accessory for a dashboard according to the invention. In all that follows, the orientations used are the usual orientations of a motor vehicle. In particular, the terms "front", "rear", "right", "left", "upper", "lower" are understood in relation to the position of a driver of a motor vehicle and his direction of travel. Figure 1 schematically illustrates the passenger compartment 11 of a motor vehicle. This passenger compartment 11 includes in particular a dashboard 13 and a floor 15. The dashboard 13 comprises a dashboard 17, a steering wheel 19 and a glove box 21 disposed respectively to the left and to the right of the dashboard 17. The dashboard 13 further comprises an additional removable accessory 23, releasable means 25 for attaching the accessory 23 to the dashboard 17 and means 27 for lighting the accessory 23. In the example illustrated in Figure 1, the accessory 23 is an ashtray. The dashboard 17 comprises a rigid body, for example made of plastic, which extends transversely over the entire width of the passenger compartment 11. In the example illustrated in FIG. 1, the dashboard 17 is fixed to the body of the motor vehicle to be disposed entirely away from the floor 15 of the vehicle. This dashboard 17 totally spaced from the floor 15 is said to be “aerial”, that is to say that it does not include a central foot connecting it to the floor 15. The dashboard 17 comprises an outer face 31 oriented towards inside the passenger compartment 11 of the vehicle. The outer face 31 has a substantially horizontal upper portion 33 and a substantially vertical intermediate portion 35. The steering wheel 19 and the glove box 21 are mounted in the vertical part 35 on either side of a median longitudinal plane of the vehicle. Conventionally, the glove box 21 delimits in the dashboard 17 a housing adapted to receive objects. The glove box 21 is provided with a door 36 for closing the housing, movable between an open position and a closed position in which the door 36 is flush with the intermediate part 35. The accessory 23 is movable between a free position shown on Figure 1, where it is separated from the dashboard 17, and a position mounted on the dashboard 17 (Figure 2). Note that in the mounted position, the accessory 23 is disposed entirely outside of the dashboard 17 to which it is connected by means 25 of fixing. The fixing means 25 comprise a plurality of cavities 41, formed in the vertical part 35 of the dashboard 17 and a plug 43, which is carried by the accessory 23 and which projects forward relative to the latter. this. In the example illustrated in Figure 1, two cavities 41 are formed on either side of the steering wheel 19 and a cavity 41 is formed to the left of the glove box 21. A retractable protective flap 45 closes the entry of each cavity 41, in order to preserve the aesthetic appearance of the dashboard 13, when the cavity 41 is not used for mounting the accessory 23. As illustrated in FIG. 2, each cavity 41 is delimited by an upper wall 51, a bottom wall 53 and a bottom wall 55. A retaining member 57 in the form of a flexible tab, is mounted on the dashboard 17 to project into the cavity 41 through a passage 59 formed in the top wall 51 The flexible tab 57 thus comprises an active part 61 in the shape of a U which projects into the cavity 41 in the vicinity of the bottom wall 55. The plug 43 extends along a longitudinal axis XX 'between a rear end 65 secured to accessory 23 and an extrem ity before 67. In the example illustrated in FIG. 2, the plug 43 came integrally with the accessory 23. The plug 43 and the cavity 41 are of complementary shapes. Thus, when the plug 43 is inserted into the cavity 41, the plug 43 bears against the upper 51 and lower 53 walls of the cavity 41. Furthermore, the front end 67 of the plug 41 abuts against the bottom wall 55 of the cavity 41. A light 69 for receiving the retaining member 57 is provided in the plug 41. More specifically, this light 69 receives the active part 61 of the retaining member 57 when the plug 43 is inserted into the cavity 41. The means 27 for lighting the accessory 23 comprise a source 71 of electrical energy, wires 73 for electrical connection, and a lamp 75. The source of electrical energy 71 is arranged in the board 17, under the lower wall 53 of the cavity 41. It is provided with lugs 77 for electrical connection which extend from the source 71 through the wall 53 into the cavity 41. Thus, the lugs 77 include protruding parts 78 in the cavity 41. The wires 73 are worn ies and extend along the plug 43 between front ends on which the parts 78 of the connection lugs 77 are supported, when the plug is inserted in the cavity 41, and rear ends which are connected to the lamp 75 which is mounted in the accessory 23, on a front wall 79 of this accessory 23. Thus, when the plug 43 is engaged in the cavity 41, the lamp 75 is electrically connected to the source 71 via the legs 77 and the wires 73 To mount the accessory 23 on the dashboard 13, proceed as follows. Initially, and as illustrated in FIG. 1, the accessory 23 is in its free position, away from the dashboard 17. The plug 43 of the accessory 23 is then engaged in one of the cavities
As illustrated in Figure 2, when inserting the plug 43 into the cavity 41, the front end 67 of the plug 43 resiliently deforms the flexible tab 57 and tends to push the active part 61 of the tab 57 outside the cavity 41. When the front end 67 of the plug 43 abuts against the bottom wall 55 of the cavity 41, the active part 61 penetrates into the lumen 69 under the effect of the elastic force of deformation of the tab flexible 57. The flexible tab 57 then blocks the longitudinal movement of the plug 43 relative to the dashboard 17. The accessory 23 is thus effectively maintained relative to the dashboard 17, in particular during acceleration of the vehicle. Furthermore, after inserting the plug 43 into the cavity 41, each connection tab 77 comes to bear on the front end of a wire 73. The lamp 75 is then electrically connected to the source d electrical energy 71 and illuminates the interior of the accessory 23. The blocking of the plug 43 by the flexible tab 57 is releasable under the effect of a longitudinal force greater than the elastic deformation force of the flexible tab 57. Thus, when the accessory 23 must be removed, the front end 67 of the plug 43 pushes the active part 61 of the flexible tab 57 out of the lumen 69 towards the passage 59 made in the upper wall 51. The plug 43 then be extracted from the cavity 41 and the accessory 23 released from the dashboard 17. The accessory 23 can be inserted either into one or the other of the cavities 41, which increases the possibilities of interior arrangement of the vehicle. Furthermore, a plurality of accessories 23 can be plugged into different cavities 41 of the dashboard 17. In a first variant (not shown) of this embodiment, the accessory 23 comprises an outlet which comprises means of electrical connection intended to receive an additional connector. In a second variant (not shown) of this embodiment, the accessory 23 includes heating means, for example an electrical resistance, electrically connected to the electrical connection wires. A second dashboard according to the invention is shown in Figure 3. Unlike the first dashboard, the lighting means 27 comprise a light source 91, a light guide 93 extending along the longitudinal axis XX 'of the plug 43 and a light diffuser 95 arranged in the accessory 23. The light source 91 is arranged in the board 17, under the lower wall 53 of the cavity 41. The part 97 of the wall 53 facing the source 91 is made from a transparent material, so that the light emitted by the source 91 is transmitted through the wall 53 to the cavity 41. The light source 91 is connected to means 99 for detecting the opening of the flap 45, to activate the source 91 when the shutter 45 is retracted and to deactivate this source 91 when the flap 45 closes the cavity 41. The detection means 99 for example comprise a switch operated by flap 45 when it moves. The light guide 93 is arranged on the plug 43 and extends between a front end which faces the light source 91 when the plug 43 is engaged in the cavity 41, and a rear end which passes through the wall 79 of the article 23 and is in contact with the light diffuser 95. The operation of this second dashboard according to the invention is analogous to the first dashboard. Unlike the first dashboard, when the plug 43 retracts the flap 45 when it is inserted into the cavity 41, the light source 91 turns on. When the front end 67 of the plug 43 abuts against the bottom wall 55 of the cavity 41, the light emitted by the source 91 is transmitted to the light guide 93 through the part 97 and is guided to the diffuser 95, along the plug 43. The light thus transmitted and scattered illuminates the interior of the accessory 23. In the variant illustrated in Figure 3, the accessory 23 is a mobile phone holder. Unlike the accessory of the first dashboard, the plug 43 is mounted movable in rotation about a transverse axis YY 'of the support 23, materialized by a pivot 105, between the sailed position and a retracted position in a housing 101, bearing against a wall 103 of the support 23. This accessory 23 has a compact structure when the plug 43 is retracted, which promotes its transport, in particular outside the vehicle. As a variant, the dashboard according to the invention comprises at least one accessory 23 chosen from a cup holder, a support peg for a garment or a bag, a telephone device support, an electrical adapter, a support for bank or road card, and a wallet. Thanks to the invention which has just been described, it is possible to obtain a standardized dashboard 17 which preserves the possibilities of interior arrangement of the vehicle. This standardization is obtained thanks to the cavities 41 formed in the dashboard 17, in which the mounting sheets 43 of the accessory (s) 23 chosen for each particular configuration of interior arrangement of the vehicle can be received. The dashboard 17 is thus designed independently of the interior design options of the vehicle, which makes it possible to manufacture it in larger series and consequently to reduce its manufacturing cost. The dashboards 13 according to the invention are particularly suitable for dashboards 17 which have a small area available for accommodating accessories 23, such as “aerial” type boards without central console. In general, the number and the position of the cavities 41 may be different from those described above. In addition, the cavities 41 are not necessarily associated with a source 71 of electrical power or with a light source 91.
