Abstract

The invention relates to a knee orthosis preventing a patient knee from hyperextension and comprising at least one rigid strap (3) preformed in such a way that it is slightly curved in order to be positioned in a popliteal space, and connection means for maintaining said strap (3) therein. Said orthosis is characterised in that it consists of a central vertical frame (1) comprising at least one sleeve for receiving said rigid strap (3), positioning strips (4, 4'; 5, 5') which transversally extend on both sides of the vertical frame (1) and comprise on the free ends thereof fixing means (8) interacting with complementary fixing means which are connectable to the front external faces (4b, 4'b; 5b, 5h) of the strips (4, 4'; 5, 5') whose length is sufficient in order to envelop the leg of a patient.
