Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'hydrocarbures à longue chaîne, à chaîne ramifiée et/ou cycliques. Tout d'abord, on prend un alcane halogéné inférieur et un sel fondu. Le sel fondu contient un composé électrophile et un agent de réduction et est exempt d'oxygène et de composés oxygéné. L'alcane halogéné est ensuite mis en contact avec le sel fondu de telle façon que des hydrocarbures à longue chaîne, à chaîne ramifiée et/ou cycliques se forment dans le sel fondu. Les hydrocarbures formés dans les sels fondus sont retirés et peuvent ensuite être séparés de l'éduit non converti. Selon l'invention, de l'oxygène est généré lors de la conversion de l'alcane halogéné inférieur. Le risque d'oxydation de l'alcane généré donnant du monoxyde de carbone ou du dioxyde de carbone est supprimé par les conditions de réduction régnant dans les sels fondus. Le choix sélectif de la composition du sel fondu permet de contrôler la répartition du produit. L'utilisation préférée d'un sel fondu de sodium-aluminate chloré entraîne la génération, par exemple, d'hydrocarbures hautement ramifiés.
