Abstract

Methods and systems for recognizing all characteristic attributes of one or more groups of information items represented in an n-dimensional data set, wherein at least a first dimension of the n-dimensional data set corresponds to two or more information items and a second dimension of the n-dimensional data set corresponds to two or more attributes, such that each data element in the data set represents a value of one of the attributes for one of said information items, and further wherein each of the two or more information items are organized into two or more groups of information items, each of the groups of information items including one or more of the two or more information items are disclosed. The methodology includes (a) retrieving (320) each data element representing a value of a first attribute for each of the groups of information items, (b) comparing (330) the retrieved data elements to determine whether each of the groups of information elements contains one or more characteristic attributes; and (c) repeating (350) retrieving and comparing for each of the two or more attributes.
