Abstract

An arrangement for the coupling of a number of first light waveguide fibres with a number of second light waveguide fibres, comprises a number of first light waveguide connectors for optically coupling the first light waveguide fibres and a number of second light waveguide connectors for optically coupling the second light waveguide fibres. Each of the first light waveguide connectors may be optically coupled to one of the second light waveguide connectors by means of a coupling light waveguide fibre. Furthermore, a coupling recognition unit is provided, which is arranged such that it can be detected if an optical coupling of a first light waveguide connector to a second light waveguide connector, by means of a coupling light waveguide fibre exists, by means of an additional channel to the optical channel produced from one of the light waveguides, by means of the coupling light waveguide fibre.
