Abstract
The present invention pertains to the field of medicine and essentially relates to devices and instruments for introducing drugs into the organism, mainly endotracheal tubes. The Pervak's endotracheal tube (1) comprises the following members: a sleeve (2); a catheter (3) for ballooning the sleeve (2); a connector (10) for connecting the endotracheal tube (1) to a lung artificial ventilation machine; a balloon (4) for controlling and optimising the pressure within the sleeve (2); and a catheter (5) for supplying a local anesthetic, wherein said catheter is connected in series with a radial annular channel (6) having an opening (7) through which the local anesthetic is supplied to the laryngopharyngeal region, and with a radial annular channel (8) having an opening (9) through which the local anesthetic is supplied to the area where the sleeve (2) is in contact with the pharynx mucous membrane and to the underlying sections of the respiratory tract. A tracheal intubation using the present endotracheal tube results in a safe and efficient anesthesia due to a substantial reduction in the gag reflex. It is thus possible to reduce the doses of general anesthetics and muscle relaxants, to reduce the intoxication of the patient's organism and to provide a rapid and reliable timing between the patient's respiration and the lung artificial ventilation machine in case of extended ventilation thereof during an intensive therapy. This system can also be used for rapidly awakening the patient, for accelerating his recovery and for ensuring the good conduct of the post-operative period.
