Abstract

According to known information coding processes, channels are condensed by frequency or time multiplexing, at a high cost and requiring a large bandwidth. According to the invention, serially arranged code elements are individually arranged in parallel, then united in a single code word. The safety of transmission is ensured by converting the information into pulse-width modulated pulses and by coding such pulses as half-periods or as periods which are then transmitted in an uninterrupted sequence of positive and negative half-periods.
