PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A SHOE OR. SIMILAR ARTICLE Andre Perugia, Paris, France Application March 8, 1937, Serial No. 68,064
Term of patent 3% years To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, Andre Perugia, a citizen of the Kingdom of Italy, residing at 4 rue de la Paix, in Paris, France, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Shoe or Similar Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof:
Figure 1 is a plan view of a shoe embodying my new design.
Figure 2 is a side perspective view of the shoe.
The characteristic feature of the present design resides in the appearance of the shoe shown herein, having a high instep and also having a foot opening pointed forwardly at the instep, and in which the vamp consists of two wide straps integral with the upper quarter and extending forwardly therefrom, the straps crossing each other high on the instep and being free of each other, the ends of said straps being attached to opposite edges of the sole, the vamp having an open toe portion and an opening on each side thereof near the shank of the shoe.
The ornamental design for a shoe or similar article, substantially as shown and described.
