To all whom 'it may concer/niv v Be it known that I, SILLUs DA Cos'ra NEW- MAN, a citizen of the United States, residin at Jellico, in the county of Campbell ari State of Tennessee, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Money- Drawer Alarms, of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to electric alarms for money drawers and has for its'object to provide, first, a retracting springfor the money drawer that at the same time serves as a part lof the circuit for the electric alarm, and, secondly,` a construction of contactswhereby a person familiar therewith ma give a predetermined signal in openingl t e drawer that l would not ordinarily be given by an unauthorized o erator of the drawer.

These o jects I accomplish in the manner and by the means hereinafter described and claimed, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, in Awh1ch:-

Running from one pole of ,a suitable elec- -tric battery 12.is a wire 13 that leads through a bell 14 to the binding post 4, the other pole of said battery being-connected by wire 15 to a metallicplate 16 fixed in the bottom wall of the casing 1 and terminating a short distance from the rear wall thereof, as shown.

-Mounted exteriorlyv on the rear wall of the drawer 2 is a plate 17, through which the bolt 10 passes to form an electrical connection, ysaid plate being upturned at' itslower fend at 18 and in sliding contact with the bottom wall of thecasing 1 and with the plate 16 thereof while passing thereover, it being understood that said plate' 1() lies in the path of travel of the plate 17.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as newfand desire to secure by'Letters Patent, is;
