Abstract

A device comprising a leather sling which encircles and tightens around the human penis. A cord attached to the sling reaches around the patient''s neck. The device is attached to a patient while in a bentover position. As the patient straightens up, he can automatically control the amount of stretch or pull which is comfortable for him, thus relieving prolapsed areas. The stretching will improve urination control, and there is clinical evidence that with proper use it can improve the circulation which controls penile erection.

Patent Dec. 16, 1975 FIG.
PENIS ENCIRCLING DEVICE BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention This invention relates to devices for urinary control.
2. Description of the Prior Art There have been several devices taught by the prior art for controlling the circulation of the blood to the penile area. These devices in general are meant to control the blood flow into the human penis as an aid to copulation. Typical of these devices are the patents issued to Nesbit, US. Pat. No. 3,612,047 (1971) and US. Pat. No. 3,155,096 to Outwin (1964). While these patents disclose devices which are functionally useful for their intended purposes, no known prior art patent discloses a device which is attached to the penis while at the same time being linked to the neck of the patient. In this manner, the device of this invention is used to support and/or stretch prolapsed and weakened bulbourethral glands and bulbo cavernosum muscles which leads to the improvement of circulation through the helicine arteries and prostate plexus.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION This invention relates to a device comprising a flexible clasping means sized to encircle a human penis; tightening means for compiessing said clasping means around said human penis; and means for connecting said tightening means around the neck of the person wearing said clapsing means in a manner such that movement of said neck causes corresponding movement of said clasping means.
Therefore, it is an object of this invention to provide a device which will aid in the circulation of blood to prolapsed areas and especially aid in the urinary control of persons suffering areas of prolapse.
It is a further object of this invention to provide a simple device which may be periodically used to aid persons suffering from urinary control problems.
There and other objects of this invention will become apparent from the following description of the preferred embodiment.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the prosthetic device of this invention including the neck cord.
FIG. 2 is a plan view of the clasping means of the prosthetic device of this application without cords.
FIG. 3 is a side view of the clasping means of FIG. 2.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS For the purposes of promoting an understanding of the principles of the invention, reference will now be made to the embodiments illustrated in the drawing and specific language will be used to describe the same. It will nevertheless be understood that no limitation of the scope of the invention is thereby intended, such alterations and further modifications in the illustrated device, and such further applications of the principles of the invention as illustrated therein being contemplated as would normally occur to one skilled in the art to which the invention relates.
A flexible clasping means is made preferably using leather covered cork. The flexible clasping means 10 will alternatively be referred to as the sling 10. The sling 10 is sized so as to completely encircle the human penis. It has been found most preferable that the sling be sized approximately 2 inches in width and approximately 6 inches in length, although this may be varied for the convenience of the individual patient. The sling 10 has a short dimension 11 and a long dimension 12. The corners are rounded and long dimension 12 is slightly curved to facilitate ease of use. Two metal eyelets 13 are located at both ends 14 and 15 of flexible clasping means 10.
Two tightening cords l6 and 20 are used to control the compression of flexible clasping means 10 around the human penis. Each of the two tightening cords l6 and 20 are threaded through all four eyelets 13 in such a manner that two free ends 21 are available on each side of the sling 10 and in such a manner that by pulling on all four free ends 21, the flexible clasping means 10 is caused to compress. A third cord is the neck cord 22 which is adjustable in length. Neck cord 22 attaches to each pair of free ends 21 of tightening cords 16 and 20. Neck cord 22 is long enough to reach around the patients neck. When in the proper position, the patient by raising his head and neck will cause the proper tension and pulling on the penile area to aid in urinary control and to aid in the general circulation of blood to the penile area of the body.
A cord bead 23 is provided which is so designed that the free ends 21 of the tightening cords 16 and 20 will fit through a hole 24 in cord bead 23. Thus, by pushing cord bead 23 down the tightening cord 16 and 20 can be conveniently held in place so that flexible clasping means 10 does not become loose or disoriented. Also, a clip 25 can be conveniently used with neck cord 22 to adjust the length of neck cord 22 to the individual patient.
While the invention has been illustrated and described in detail in the drawing and foregoing description, the same is to be considered as illustrative and not restrictive in character, it being understood that only the preferred embodiments have been shown and described and that all changes and modifications that come within the spirit of the invention and the scope of the claims are desired to be protected.
What is claimed is:
1. In a device of the type including clasping means to encircle the human penis, tightening means to control the pressure exerted by said clasping means, and securing means for maintaining said tightening means at a constant pressure the improvement comprising tension means connected to said clasping means for causing movement of a users head and neck to apply force to said clasping means, said tension means having a portion which encircles the neck of the user.
2. The device of claim 1 wherein said clasping means is a leather sling having a long dimension and a short dimension and including four holes, two of said holes being located at each end of said long dimension.
3. The device of claim 2 wherein said tightening means includes two tightening cords, each of said tightening cords being threaded through all four of said holes in such a manner that by pulling on the ends of said tightening cords said clasping means are caused to tighten.
4. The device of claim 3 wherein said tension means includes an adjustable cord connected to each of said tightening cords and sized to extend around the neck of the person using said clasping means.

Claims (4)

1. IN A DEVICE OF THE TYPE INCLUDING CLASPING MEANS TO ENCIRCLE THE HUMAN PENIS, TIGHTENING MEANS TO CONTROL THE PRESSURE EXERTED BY SAID CLASPING MEANS, AND SECURING MEANS FOR MAINTAINING SAID TIGHTENING MEANS AT A CONSTANT PRESSURE THE IMPROVEMENT COMPRISING TENSION MEANS CONNECTED TO SAID CLASPING MEANS FOR CAUSING MOVEMENT OF A USER''S HEAD AND NECK TO APPLY FORCE TO SAID CLASPING MEANS, SAID TENSION MEANS HAVING A PORTION WHICH ENCIRCLES THE NECK OF THE USER.
