(C1. -3171 My invention relates to a decorative-cover for a head-boardone which protects as well as beautifies the head-board; which permits of, expeditious attachment or detachment, as when it is desired tolaunder same; andone-wherein the fastening devices for the components are hidden from view.

More specifically, my invention comprises a cushion conforming to the contour of the headboard and fastened thereto in the rear, in combinationwith a cover which completely encloses the head-board, the fastenings therefor, and the cushion. At its bottom is located the securing means for the cover, a view of which is totally occluded bythe proximity of the mattress.

To the accomplishment of the recited objects, and others coordinate therewith, one of the embodiments of my invention resides in the .con-

struction and arrangement of parts shown in the accompanying"drawings, described in the following specification, and embraced within the scope of the appended claim.

Figure 2 is a front elevation, partly broken away, of the various components assembled, and Figure 3 is a vertical section on'line 3-3- and illustrating the normal position assumed by the] spring and mattress.

I claim:

In combination with a bed having a head board, a cushion provided with a plurality of tapes at the bottom and top thereof, the tapes at the top disposed over and the tapes at the bottom disposed under the head board and fastened in the rear thereof, a decorative envelope cover closed at the top and'sides and open at the bottom and having fasteners at the bottom thereof, said cover enclosing the cushion, the rear, top and sides of the head board, the fasteners securing the bottom edges of said eover below the head board.
