A particular object of the invention is to not only eliminate the diiiiculties incident to buttons and buttonholes, but to provide a cuff of the French type with a separable fastener structure which will give a very pleasing appearance and long life.

Referring to the drawings:

Figure 1 is a rear elevation of a French cuff in unfolded position;

Referring to Figure l, a French cuff is indicated as a, whole at I 0, which is adapted to be folded on the line II to form the cuff structure shown in Figure 4. The outside fold I2 is provided With a male fastening member I3, and a female fastening member I4, While the inside fold I5 is provided with eyelets I6 of a size to permit the members I3 and I4 to be united through the eyelets, as shown in Figure 5. The eyelets I6 may be of metal or they may be of fabric suitably stitched in the layer I5.

The construction avoids the use of buttons and buttonholes, and provides a neat appearing French cuff which will have a long life and not become Worn by continuous washing and ironing, as sometimes happens With the customary button and buttonhole constructions.

I claim:

A French cuff having an outer fold and an inner fold, the outer fold having a pair of engageable snap fastening elements and the inner fold having a pair of openings through which said snap fastener elements extend and may be connected when the outer and inner folds are in folded relation.
