Abstract
A standing shower caddy includes a frame, a horizontally adjustable shelf, a shelf adjustment mechanism, and a bumper. The horizontally adjustable shelf connects with a substantially vertical support member of the frame. The shelf adjustment mechanism cooperates with at least one of the frame and the horizontally adjustable shelf. The shelf adjustment mechanism is operable in a first operating position which allows for horizontal movement of the horizontally adjustable shelf with respect to the substantially vertical support member in a forward direction and a rearward direction. The shelf adjustment mechanism is also operable in a second operating position where the horizontally adjustable shelf is precluded from movement with respect to the substantially vertical support member in at least one of the forward direction and the rearward direction. The bumper can be located on the horizontally adjustable shelf to contact a substantially vertical wall surface of the shower stall.
Description
- Shower caddies are often used in a shower stall or bath enclosure to store and organize personal care articles such as soap, shampoo, razors, poof sponges and the like. Shower caddies typically include shelves or baskets mounted to a support. The support can be secured to a shower wall or hang on a shower head pipe.
- Standing shower caddies, in contrast to being secured to a shower wall or hung from a shower head pipe, rest on a substantially horizontal floor surface of the shower stall. The floor surface of the shower stall is not perfectly horizontal, which allows water to drain towards a drain opening. In view of this, standing shower caddies can sometimes be unstable due to the slope of the floor surface.
- A standing shower caddy that is more stable than known shower caddies includes a frame, a horizontally adjustable shelf, a shelf adjustment mechanism, and a bumper. The standing shower caddy is configured to be positioned adjacent a corner of the shower stall. The frame includes a lower leg, a foot connected with the lower leg, and substantially vertical support member connected with the lower leg. The foot defines a lower surface for contacting a substantially horizontal floor surface of the shower stall when the standing shower caddy is positioned inside the shower stall adjacent the corner. The horizontally adjustable shelf connects with the substantially vertical support member of the frame. The shelf adjustment mechanism cooperates with at least one of the frame and the horizontally adjustable shelf. The shelf adjustment mechanism is operable in a first operating position which allows for horizontal movement of the horizontally adjustable shelf with respect to the substantially vertical support member in a forward direction and a rearward direction. The shelf adjustment mechanism is also operable in a second operating position where the horizontally adjustable shelf is precluded from movement with respect to the substantially vertical support member in at least one of the forward direction and the rearward direction. The bumper is on the horizontally adjustable shelf. The bumper is configured to contact a substantially vertical wall surface of the shower stall when the standing shower caddy is positioned inside the shower stall adjacent the corner and the shelf adjustment mechanism is in the second operating position.
- Another example of a standing shower caddy includes a substantially vertical support member, a shelf, a first lower leg, a second lower leg, a first foot, a second foot, and a movable bumper. The shelf connects with the substantially vertical support member. The first lower leg and the second lower leg each connect with the substantially vertical support member. The first foot connects with the first lower leg and defines a first lower surface for contacting a substantially horizontal floor surface of a shower stall in which the standing shower caddy is positioned. The second foot connects with the second lower leg and defines a second lower surface for contacting the substantially horizontal floor surface of the shower stall. The moveable bumper connects with the substantially vertical support member. The bumper is movable with respect to the substantially vertical support member for contacting a substantially vertical wall surface of the shower stall to stabilize the standing shower caddy within the shower stall.
- A method for stabilizing a standing shower caddy adjacent a corner of a shower stall is also described. The corner is defined by a first substantially vertical wall surface and a second substantially vertical wall surface. The second substantially vertical wall surface is substantially perpendicular to the first substantially vertical wall surface. The method includes positioning a frame of the shower caddy adjacent to the corner of the shower stall such that a first lower surface of a first foot of the frame contacts a substantially horizontal floor surface of the shower stall. The method further includes moving a bumper connected with the frame in a first direction with respect to the frame to contact the first substantially vertical wall surface. The method further includes fixing the bumper with respect to the frame after the bumper comes in contact with the first substantially vertical wall surface to preclude movement of the bumper with respect to the frame in a second direction, which is opposite the first direction.

FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of the horizontally adjustable shelf and shelf adjustment mechanism depicted inFIG. 3 . - With reference to
FIG. 1 , a standingshower caddy 10 is positioned in ashower stall 12. The standingshower caddy 10 is configured to be positioned adjacent acorner 14 of theshower stall 12. Thecorner 14 is defined by a first substantiallyvertical wall surface 16 and an adjacent second substantiallyvertical wall surface 18, which is substantially perpendicular to the first substantially vertical wall surface. Theshower stall 12 may also include other wall surfaces and the shower stall further includes a substantiallyhorizontal floor surface 20 in which a drain opening (not shown) can be found. The standingshower caddy 10 is designed in such a manner that the standingshower caddy 10 is stable (e.g., does not rock) within theshower stall 12. - With reference to
FIG. 2 , the standingshower caddy 10 includes aframe 30 that includes a firstlower leg 32 and a second lower leg 34 (only visible inFIG. 1 ). An angle between thefirst leg 32 and thesecond leg 34 measured about a vertical axis is about 90 degrees. With reference toFIG. 1 , afirst foot 36 connects with the firstlower leg 32 and asecond foot 38 connects with the secondlower leg 34. Thefirst foot 36 defines a firstlower surface 42 for contacting the substantiallyhorizontal floor surface 20 of theshower stall 12 when the standingshower caddy 10 is positioned inside theshower stall 12 adjacent to thecorner 14. Similarly, thesecond foot 38 defines a secondlower surface 44 for contacting the substantiallyhorizontal floor surface 20. A firstrotatable ring 46 connects thefirst foot 36 to thefirst leg 32, and a secondrotatable ring 48 connects thesecond foot 38 to thesecond leg 34. Therings feet rotatable ring respective foot respective leg lower surface foot frame 30. - The
frame 30 further includes a substantiallyvertical support member 50, which in the depicted embodiment is made up of three sections: alower section 52, acentral section 54, and anupper section 56. Eachsection vertical support member 50 is made from tubular stock material, which can be metal, plastic or another durable material. - With back reference to
FIG. 1 , thelower section 52 also includes a firstangled section 62 and a secondangled section 64. The firstangled section 62 allows for thefirst leg 32 to connect with the substantiallyvertical support member 50 through thelower section 52. The secondangled section 64 allows thesecond leg 34 to connect with the substantiallyvertical support member 50 through thelower section 52. In the illustrated embodiment, end sections of eachleg angled sections central section 54 connects with thelower section 52 in a manner similar to the connection between thelegs lower section 52. Similarly, theupper section 56 connects with thecentral section 54 in a similar manner. Again, other manners of connection can be employed. - The substantially
vertical support member 50 defines a longitudinalvertical axis 66. Thefeet vertical axis 66. The substantiallyvertical support member 50 also includes anupper end 68, which is open, and alower end 72, which is closed. When theshower caddy 10 is positioned in theshower stall 12, thelower end 72 of the substantially vertical support member can be offset from the substantiallyhorizontal floor surface 20 in a manner that will be described in more detail below (seeFIG. 2 ). - With reference back to
FIG. 1 , the standingshower caddy 10 further includesshelves vertical support member 50. Theshelves vertical support member 50 in such a manner that eachshelf shelves upper shelf 80 will be described with particularity with an understanding that thelower shelf 82 can take a similar configuration. - The
upper shelf 80 includes abin 84 that can be made from plastic or similar durable material. Thebin 84 includesopenings 86 to allow water to drain from the bin. Theupper shelf 80 further includes abin wire 88 that extends upwardly from thebin 84 and generally follows a perimeter of the bin. Thebin wire 88 can take many different configurations and the configuration of thebin wire 88 on theupper shelf 80 is different than the configuration of the bin wire on thelower shelf 82. Thebin wire 88 further includes ahook section 92 that cooperates with the substantiallyvertical support member 50. Thebin wire 88 also engages ashelf mount 94 that is connected with thebin 84 and extends upwardly from the bin. A section of thebin wire 88 that is forward (toward the bin 84) from thehook section 92 is trapped between theshelf mount 94 and the substantiallyvertical support member 50. With reference toFIG. 2 , theshelf mount 94 also includes aclamping section 96, which is U-shaped, that engages the substantiallyvertical support member 50 to fix theupper shelf 80 to the substantially vertical support member. To vertically adjust eachshelf vertical support member 50, theshelf shelf mount 94 and theclamping section 96 from substantiallyvertical support member 50. Allowing theshelf vertical support member 50 results in fixing theshelf - The standing
shower caddy 10 further includes a horizontallyadjustable shelf 100 connected with the substantiallyvertical support member 50 of theframe 30. The horizontallyadjustable shelf 100 includes abin 102, which can be made from a plastic or other durable material. Thebin 102 also includesdrain openings 104, which allow for water to drain from the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100. The horizontallyadjustable shelf 100 further includes afirst side edge 106 and asecond side edge 108. Thefirst side edge 106 is substantially perpendicular to thesecond side edge 108. The horizontallyadjustable shelf 100 further includes aforward edge 112, which is arcuate. Theforward edge 112 interconnects thefirst side edge 106 to thesecond side edge 108. With reference toFIG. 3 , the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100 further includes arecess 114 formed in alower surface 116 of thebin 102. - With continued reference to
FIG. 3 , the standing shower caddy includes ashelf adjustment mechanism 120. With reference toFIG. 4 , theshelf adjustment mechanism 120 includes anadjustment mechanism mount 122, acatch 124, arack 126, and arack cover 128. With reference toFIG. 4 , theadjustment mechanism mount 122 includes atubular section 132 and aU-shaped section 134 atop the tubular section. Thetubular section 132 includes an openedlower end 136 and a recessedlower section 138 to define ashoulder 142. Aflange 144 extends from thetubular section 132 in a same general direction as theU-shaped section 134. An operator can grasp theflange 144 and thecatch 124 to adjust the horizontallyadjustable shelf 102 with respect to the substantiallyvertical support member 50. - With reference to
FIG. 5 , theadjustment mechanism mount 120 connects with the substantially vertical support member 50 (and more specifically the upper section 56). The recessedlower section 138 is received in theupper section 56 such that theshoulder 142 contacts the openupper end 68 of the substantiallyvertical support member 50. Other manners for connecting theadjustment mechanism mount 120 to the substantiallyvertical support member 50 can also be employed. - With reference back to
FIG. 4 , theU-shaped section 134 of theadjustment mechanism mount 120 includes afirst slot 150 on one side of the U-shaped section and asecond slot 152 on an opposite side of the U-shaped section. The U-shaped section further includes afirst flange 154 formed above thefirst slot 150 and asecond flange 156 formed above thesecond slot 152. Therack 126 includes afirst flange 160, which is received in thefirst slot 150 and asecond flange 162, which is received in asecond slot 152. With therack 126 and thecover 128 received in therecess 114 formed in the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100, afirst channel 164 is formed above thefirst flange 160 and asecond channel 166 is formed above thesecond flange 162. With the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100 connected with theadjustment mechanism mount 120, thefirst flange 154 on theU-shaped section 134 is received in thefirst channel 164 and thesecond flange 156 is received in thesecond channel 166. - The
catch 124 cooperates with therack 126 to allow for adjustment of the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100 with respect to the substantiallyvertical support member 50. Thecatch 124 includes apawl 170, alever 172 and a mountingsection 174. The mountingsection 174 includes anopening 176, which receives a fastener 178 (FIG. 5 ) to connect thecatch 124 with theadjustment mechanism mount 120, which includes a correspondingly shapedfastener opening 182. Thecatch 124 also includes aboss 184 that surrounds theopening 176 and cooperates with a key-shapedrecess 186 formed in theadjustment mechanism mount 122. - The
rack 126 includes a plurality ofteeth 190. Thepawl 170 on thecatch 124 cooperates with theteeth 190 to fix the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100 with respect to the substantiallyvertical support member 50. As such, theshelf adjustment mechanism 120 can be a ratchet mechanism that includes therack 126 connected with the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100 and thepawl 170 connected with theframe 30. Theshelf adjustment mechanism 100 is operable in a first operating position (e.g., with thepawl 170 disengaged from the teeth 190) that allows for horizontal movement of the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100 with respect to the substantiallyvertical support member 50 in a forward direction (seearrow 192 inFIG. 5 ) and a rearward direction (seearrow 194 inFIG. 5 ). Theshelf adjustment mechanism 120 is also operable in a second operating position (e.g., in which thepawl 170 engages a respective tooth 190) where the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100 is precluded from movement with respect to the substantiallyvertical support member 50 in at least one of the forward direction (arrow 192) and the rearward direction (arrow 194). - With the
pawl 170 engaged with arespective tooth 190, the horizontally adjustable shelf can still move horizontally in the forward (first) direction (arrow 192) due to the slope of theteeth 190. With thepawl 170 engaged with arespective tooth 190, movement in an opposite (second or rearward) direction (arrow 194) is precluded due to the slope of theteeth 190. Each direction (botharrows 192 and 194) is along an axis that bisects an angle defined between thefirst side edge 106 and thesecond side edge 108 of the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100. As such, the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100, in the depicted embodiment, adjusts along an axis angularly spaced equidistant from thefirst side edge 106 and thesecond side edge 108 of the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100. Even though a ratchet mechanism is described in detail, the shelf adjustment mechanism could lock in position, e.g., be precluded from movement in the direction ofarrow 194, in other manners. For example, a threaded fastener engaged with theframe 30 could selectively engage the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100. Similarly, a button mounted on the frame could selectively engage the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100 to preclude movement in the direction ofarrow 194. - With reference back to the illustrated embodiment, the mounting
section 174 of thecatch 124 is resilient to allow an operator to press down on thelever 172 to disengage thepawl 170 from arespective tooth 190. This places the shelf adjustment mechanism in the first operating position. Thecatch 124 is configured and connected with theadjustment mechanism mount 122 so that thepawl 170 is biased toward theteeth 190 to bias the shelf adjustment mechanism toward the second operating position. - As illustrated, the
shelf adjustment mechanism 120 connects with theupper end 68 of the substantiallyvertical support member 50, and the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100 is disposed adjacent the upper end. Nevertheless, the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100 could be positioned elsewhere with respect to the substantiallyvertical support member 50. For example, by providing a rear recess in the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100, the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100 could connect with the substantiallyvertical support member 50 below theupper end 68. In such an instance, the substantiallyvertical support member 50 would be received in the recess when the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100 is moved toward thecorner 14 of theshower stall 12. - The standing
shower caddy 10 further includes a bumper (afirst bumper 200 and asecond bumper 202 are depicted in the figures). Thebumpers shower stall 12 to stabilize the standingshower caddy 10 within theshower stall 12. The bumpers can be made from any material that can come in contact with a surface, e.g., the substantially vertical wall surfaces 16, 18, of theshower stall 12 to stabilize the standingshower caddy 10 within theshower stall 12. These materials can be compliant or sticky materials, or these materials could have a higher durometer. In the illustrated embodiment, thefirst bumper 200 and thesecond bumper 202 are located on the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100. In the illustrated embodiment, thebumpers adjustable shelf 100. Alternatively, the bumpers could be integrally formed with the horizontally adjustable shelf. Thefirst bumper 200 is configured to contact the first substantiallyvertical wall surface 16 and thesecond bumper 202 is configured to contact the second substantiallyvertical wall surface 18 of theshower stall 12 when the standing shower caddy is positioned inside theshower stall 12 adjacent thecorner 14 and theshelf adjustment mechanism 120 is the second operating position. - A method for stabilizing the standing
shower caddy 10 adjacent thecorner 14 of theshower stall 12 includes positioning theframe 30 of theshower caddy 10 adjacent to thecorner 14 of theshower stall 12 such that the firstlower surface 42 of thefirst foot 36 of theframe 30 contacts the substantiallyhorizontal floor surface 20 of theshower stall 12. The method further includes moving the bumper (either thefirst bumper 200 or the second bumper 202) connected with theframe 30 in a first direction with respect to the frame to contact the first substantially vertical wall surface 16 (or the second substantially vertical wall surface 18).FIG. 1 shows thebumpers adjustable shelf 100; however, the bumpers could connect with another element or structure that is horizontally adjustable with respect to the substantiallyvertical support member 50. - The method further includes fixing the
bumper frame 30 after the bumper comes into contact with the first substantially vertical wall surface 16 (or the second substantially vertical wall surface 18). This precludes movement of thebumper frame 30 in a second direction, which is opposite the first direction. In the illustrated embodiment, moving the bumper is accomplished by moving the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100 in the horizontal direction, since in the illustrated embodiment thebumper adjustable shelf 100. With reference to the illustrated embodiment, fixing thebumper frame 30 can further include fixing the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100 with respect to theframe 30. In the illustrated embodiment, the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100 is moved toward thecorner 14 of theshower stall 12 so thebumpers vertical wall surface 16 and/or the second substantiallyvertical wall surface 18. - As mentioned above, the method for stabilizing the standing
shower caddy 10 adjacent thecorner 14 of theshower stall 12 includes positioning theframe 30 of theshower caddy 12 adjacent to thecorner 14 of theshower stall 12. The standingshower caddy 10 can be positioned such that the secondlower surface 44 of asecond foot 38 of theframe 30 contacts the substantially horizontallyfloor surface 20 of theshower stall 12. - Moving the
bumper adjustable shelf 100 having thefirst bumper 200 and thesecond bumper 202 in the horizontal direction such that thefirst bumper 200 contacts the first substantiallyvertical wall surface 16 and thesecond bumper 202 contacts the second substantiallyvertical wall surface 18. Fixing thebumper frame 30 can further include fixing the horizontallyadjustable shelf 100 with respect to theframe 30 after thefirst bumper 200 comes into contact with the first substantiallyvertical wall surface 16 and thesecond bumper 202 comes into contact with the second substantiallyvertical wall surface 18. When thefirst bumper 200 contacts the first substantiallyvertical wall surface 16, and thesecond bumper 202 contacts the second substantiallyvertical wall surface 18, and thelower surfaces feet horizontal floor surface 20, it is at this time that thelower end 72 of the substantiallyvertical support member 48 can be offset from the substantiallyhorizontal floor surface 20 of the shower stall 12 (seeFIG. 2 ). - A standing shower caddy that is more stable than known shower caddies has been described above with particularity. A method for stabilizing the standing shower caddy adjacent a corner of a shower stall has also been described. Modifications and alterations will occur to those upon reading and understanding the preceding detailed description. The invention, however, is not limited to only the embodiments described above. Instead, the invention is broadly defined by the appended claims and the equivalents thereof.
Claims (20)
1. A standing shower caddy configured to be positioned adjacent a corner of an associated shower stall, the standing shower caddy comprising:
a frame including a first lower leg, a first foot connected with the first lower leg, and a substantially vertical support member connected with the first lower leg, the first foot defining a first lower surface for contacting a substantially horizontal floor surface of the associated shower stall when the standing shower caddy is positioned inside the associated shower stall adjacent the corner;
a horizontally adjustable shelf connected with the substantially vertical support member of the frame;
a shelf adjustment mechanism cooperating with at least one of the frame and the horizontally adjustable shelf, wherein the shelf adjustment mechanism is operable in a first operating position which allows for horizontal movement of the horizontally adjustable shelf with respect to the substantially vertical support member in a forward direction and a rearward direction and a second operating position where the horizontally adjustable shelf is fixed with respect to the substantially vertical support member in at least one of the forward direction and the rearward direction; and
a bumper on the horizontally adjustable shelf, the bumper being configured to contact a substantially vertical wall surface of the associated shower stall when the standing shower caddy is positioned inside the associated shower stall adjacent the corner and the shelf adjustment mechanism is in the second operating position.
2. The standing shower caddy of claim 1 , wherein the frame includes a second lower leg connected with the substantially vertical support member and a second foot connected with the second lower leg, the second foot defining a second lower surface for contacting the substantially horizontal floor surface of the associated shower stall, the substantially vertical support member defining a lower end, which is configured to be positioned vertically offset from the substantially horizontal floor surface when the first lower surface and the second lower surface each contact the substantially horizontal floor surface and the bumper is contacting the substantially vertical wall surface of the associated shower stall.
3. The standing shower caddy of claim 1 , wherein the bumper on the horizontally adjustable shelf includes a first bumper configured to contact a first substantially vertical wall surface of the associated shower stall in which the standing shower caddy is positioned and a second bumper configured to contact a second substantially vertical wall surface of the associated shower stall, wherein the first substantially vertical wall surface is substantially perpendicular to the second substantially vertical wall surface to define the corner.
4. The standing shower caddy of claim 3 , wherein the horizontally adjustable shelf includes a first side edge and second side edge, wherein the first bumper is located on the first side edge and the second bumper is located on the second side edge.
5. The standing shower caddy of claim 4 , wherein the first side edge is substantially perpendicular to second side edge.
6. The standing shower caddy of claim 5 , wherein the horizontally adjustable shelf is configured for movement with respect to the substantially vertical support member along an axis that bisects an angle defined between the first side edge and the second side edge of the horizontally adjustable shelf.
7. The standing shower caddy of claim 1 , wherein the shelf adjustment mechanism connects with an upper end of the substantially vertical support member, and the horizontally adjustable shelf is disposed adjacent the upper end.
8. The standing shower caddy of claim 7 , wherein the shelf adjustment mechanism is a ratchet mechanism.
9. The standing shower caddy of claim 8 , wherein the ratchet mechanism includes a rack connected with the horizontally adjustable shelf and a pawl connected with the frame.
10. A standing shower caddy comprising:
a substantially vertical support member;
a shelf connected with the vertical support member;
a first lower leg connected with the substantially vertical support member;
a second lower leg connected with the substantially vertical support member;
a first foot connected with the first lower leg and defining a first lower surface for contacting a substantially horizontal floor surface of an associated shower stall in which the standing shower caddy is positioned;
a second foot connected with the second lower leg and defining a second lower surface for contacting the substantially horizontal floor surface of the associated shower stall in which the standing shower caddy is positioned;
a movable bumper connected with the substantially vertical support member, the bumper being movable with respect to the substantially vertical support member for contacting a substantially vertical wall surface of the associated shower stall to stabilize the standing shower caddy within the shower stall.
11. The standing shower caddy of claim 10 , further comprising a horizontally adjustable shelf connected with the substantially vertical support member and movable with respect to the substantially vertical support member, wherein the bumper is located on the horizontally adjustable shelf and connects with the substantially vertical support member through the horizontally adjustable shelf.
12. The standing shower caddy of claim 11 , wherein the bumper is connected with and formed separately from the horizontally adjustable shelf.
13. The standing shower caddy of claim 11 , wherein the horizontally adjustable shelf includes a first side edge and second side edge perpendicular to the first side edge, wherein the movable bumper includes a first bumper located on the first side edge and a second bumper located on the second side edge.
14. The standing shower caddy of claim 13 , wherein the first side edge is substantially perpendicular to the second side edge and the horizontally adjustable shelf adjusts along an axis angularly spaced equidistant from the first side edge and the second side edge.
15. The standing shower caddy of claim 10 , wherein the substantially vertical support member defines a lower end, which is configured to be positioned vertically offset from the substantially horizontal floor surface when the bumper is contacting the substantially vertical wall surface and each lower surface contacts the substantially horizontal floor surface of the associated shower stall.
16. The standing shower caddy of claim 14 , wherein the first foot is vertically adjustable with respect to the first leg and the second foot is vertically adjustable with respect to the second leg.
17. A method for stabilizing a standing shower caddy adjacent a corner of a shower stall where the corner is defined by a first substantially vertical wall surface and a second substantially vertical wall surface, which is substantially perpendicular to the first substantially vertical wall surface, the method comprising:
positioning a frame of the shower caddy adjacent to the corner of the shower stall such that a first lower surface of a first foot of the frame contacts a substantially horizontal floor surface of the shower stall;
moving a bumper connected with the frame in a first direction with respect to the frame to contact the first substantially vertical wall surface; and
fixing the bumper with respect to the frame after the bumper comes into contact with the first substantially vertical wall surface to preclude movement of the bumper with respect to the frame in a second direction, which is opposite the first direction.
18. The method of claim 17 , wherein moving the bumper further includes moving a horizontally adjustable shelf in a horizontal direction, wherein the bumper is disposed on the horizontally adjustable shelf, and wherein fixing the bumper with respect to the frame further includes fixing the horizontally adjustable shelf with respect to the frame.
19. The method of claim 19 , wherein moving the horizontally adjustable shelf includes moving the horizontally adjustable shelf toward the corner.
20. The method of claim 17 , wherein positioning a frame of the shower caddy adjacent to the corner of the shower stall further includes positioning the frame such that a second lower surface of a second foot of the frame contacts the substantially horizontal floor surface of the shower stall, wherein moving a bumper further includes moving a horizontally adjustable shelf having a first bumper and a second bumper in a horizontal direction such that the first bumper contacts the first substantially vertical wall surface and the second bumper contacts the second substantially vertical wall surface, and wherein fixing the bumper with respect to the frame further includes fixing the horizontally adjustable shelf with respect to the frame after the first bumper comes into contact with the first substantially vertical wall surface and the second bumper comes into contact with the second substantially vertical wall surface.
