Abstract
A singing gift box with a base gift box that includes an interior and a singing module that is disposed on the interior and is activated when the base gift box is opened and exposes the interior to light that activates the light-activated singing module. The singing module includes a processor, a memory system, an input system to input a plurality of music or sounds stored on the memory system, a light sensor to activate the singing module when the light sensor is exposed to light and a motion sensor to activate the singing module when the motion sensor senses motion. The singing module also includes a base, a speaker that is attached to the base that emits the input music or sounds, a battery to provide electrical power to the singing module, an adjustable volume control and an on/off switch to activate or terminate the singing module.
Description
- This application claims priority to U.S. Provisional Application 61/370,220 filed on Aug. 3, 2010, the entire disclosure of which is incorporated by reference.
- The present invention relates to a singing gift box. More specifically, the present invention relates to a singing gift box and a singing module.
- It is an object of the present invention to provide a singing gift box that utilizes a light and/or motion activated singing module that plays music or sounds when opened and exposed to light and/or motion.
- It is an object of the present invention to provide a light and/or motion activated singing module that can be attached to a container or other suitable object such as a gift or present that plays music or sounds when exposed to light.
- It is an object of the present invention to provide a light and motion activated singing module that plays music or a verbal sound when activated by a light sensor and plays the music or verbal sound until light no longer activates the light sensor.
- What is really needed is a singing gift box that utilizes a light and/or motion activated singing module that plays music or sounds when opened and exposed to light and/or and a light and/or motion activated singing module that can be attached to a container or other suitable object such as a gift or present that plays music or sounds when exposed to light and/or motion and plays the music or verbal sound until light no longer activates the light sensor.
- The present invention will be described by way of exemplary embodiments, but not limitations, illustrated in the accompanying drawing in which like references denote similar elements, and in which:

FIG. 1 illustrates an overhead front perspective view of a singing gift box, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 2 illustrates a block diagram of a light and motion activated singing module, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention. - Various aspects of the illustrative embodiments will be described using terms commonly employed by those skilled in the art to convey the substance of their work to others skilled in the art. However, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced with only some of the described aspects. For purposes of explanation, specific numbers, materials and configurations are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the illustrative embodiments. However, it will be apparent to one skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced without the specific details. In other instances, well-known features are omitted or simplified in order not to obscure the illustrative embodiments.
- Various operations will be described as multiple discrete operations, in turn, in a manner that is most helpful in understanding the present invention. However, the order of description should not be construed as to imply that these operations are necessarily order dependent. In particular, these operations need not be performed in the order of presentation.
- The phrase “in one embodiment” is used repeatedly. The phrase generally does not refer to the same embodiment, however, it may. The terms “comprising”, “having” and “including” are synonymous, unless the context dictates otherwise.

FIG. 1 illustrates an overhead front perspective view of asinging gift box 100, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention. - The
singing gift box 100 includes abase gift box 110 and a light and/or motion activatedsinging module 120. Thebase gift box 110 includes aninterior 112 and can be any suitable type of gift box made of any suitable material such as wood, plastic, cardboard or paper or be any suitable dimensions. The light and/or motion activatedsinging module 120 is typically disposed on theinterior 112 of thebase gift box 110 and is activated when a user opens thebase gift box 110 and exposes theinterior 112 of thebase gift box 110 to anyexterior light 114 that may activate the light and/or motion activatedsinging module 120. -
FIG. 2 illustrates a block diagram of asinging module 200, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention. In addition to being disposed on theinterior 112 of abase gift box 110, as illustrated inFIG. 1 , thesinging module 200 can be attached to a container (not shown) or other suitable object such as a gift or a present (not shown) that a user desires to plays music or sounds on or in proximity to when exposed to light. - The
singing module 200 includes a processor 210, a memory system 220, aninput system 230, alight sensor 240, amotion sensor 250, abase 260, aspeaker 270, abattery 280, anadjustable volume control 285 and an on/off switch 290. - The processor 210 can be part of a
microprocessor 212, amicrocontroller 214 or a microchip 216 such as an integrated circuit microchip 218. The memory system 220 can also be part of amicroprocessor 212, amicrocontroller 214 or a microchip 216 such as an integrated circuit microchip 218. Theinput system 230 can be amicrophone 232 or a digitalaudio receiving device 234 to input a plurality of music or sounds stored on the memory system 220. Thelight sensor 240 activates thesinging module 200 when thelight sensor 240 is exposed to light. Thelight sensor 240 is terminated by the processor 210 when thelight sensor 240 is exposed to an absence of light. Thelight sensor 240 can be any suitable light sensor that can accommodate thesinging module 200. Themotion sensor 250 activates thesinging module 200 when themotion sensor 250 senses motion. Themotion sensor 250 activates the processor 210 to terminate thesinging module 200 after completing a last played sound file of the stored music or sounds. Thebase 260 serves as an interface between thesinging module 200 and the interior of the container or the object and can be made of any suitable material such as plastic or rubber. Thespeaker 270 is attached to thebase 260 and emits the input music or sounds. Thebattery 280 provides electrical power to thesinging module 200. Theadjustable volume control 285 to control a volume level of the music or sounds emitted from thespeaker 270. The on/offswitch 290 can activate or terminate thesinging module 200. - The singing gift box includes a module that can also be attached to a container, present or gift that can be loaded with music or any sound. The music or sound plays as the attached light sensor is exposed to light. The module stops playing the music or sound when there is an absence of light or darkness. The singing gift box allows a person to load any musical or verbal sound on-to a module to mount on a box or gift to send music with a present to activate upon opening the present that plays the music or a verbal sound when activated by a light sensor and plays the music or verbal sound until light no longer activates the light sensor. There are a relatively large number of uses for the singing gift box or singing module that include attaching the music or sound loaded module onto any box, gift or present that can be terminated for darkness and opened to receive light to activate the module.
- While the present invention has been related in terms of the foregoing embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described. The present invention can be practiced with modification and alteration within the spirit and scope of the appended claims. Thus, the description is to be regarded as illustrative instead of restrictive on the present invention.
Claims (20)
1. A singing gift box, comprising:
a base gift box that includes an interior; and
a light or motion activated singing module that is disposed on said interior of said base gift box and is activated when said base gift box is opened and exposes said interior to light or motion that activates said light or motion activated singing module.
2. The singing gift box according to claim 1 , wherein said singing module comprises:
a processor;
a memory system;
an input system to input a plurality of music or sounds stored on said memory system;
a light sensor to activate said singing module when said light sensor is exposed to light;
a motion sensor to activate said singing module when said motion sensor senses motion;
a base that serves as an interface between said singing module and said interior of said container or said object;
a speaker that is attached to said base that emits said input music or sounds;
a battery to provide electrical power to said singing module;
an adjustable volume control to control a volume level of said plurality of music or sounds emitted from said speaker; and
an on/off switch to activate or terminate said singing module.
3. The singing gift box according to claim 2 , wherein said processor and memory system are selected from the group consisting of a microprocessor, a microcontroller, a microchip or an integrated circuit microchip.
4. The singing gift box according to claim 2 , wherein said processor terminates said singing module when said light sensor is exposed to an absence of light.
5. The singing gift box according to claim 2 , wherein said processor is activated by said motion detector to terminate said singing module after completing a last played sound file of said music or sounds.
6. The singing gift box according to claim 2 , wherein said object is a gift or a present.
7. The singing gift box according to claim 1 , wherein said base gift box is made of a material selected from the group consisting of wood, plastic, cardboard or paper.
8. A singing module disposed in an interior of a container, comprising:
a processor;
a memory system;
an input system to input a plurality of music or sounds stored on said memory system;
a light sensor to activate said singing module when said light sensor is exposed to light;
a base that serves as an interface between said singing module and said interior of said container or said object;
a speaker that is attached to said base that emits said input music or sounds;
a battery to provide electrical power to said singing module;
an adjustable volume control to control a volume level of said plurality of music or sounds emitted from said speaker; and
an on/off switch to activate or terminate said singing module.
9. The module according to claim 8 , wherein said processor and said memory system are selected from the group consisting of a microprocessor, a microcontroller, a microchip or an integrated circuit microchip.
10. The module according to claim 8 , wherein said processor terminates said singing module when the light sensor is exposed to an absence of light.
11. The module according to claim 8 , wherein said processor is activated by said motion detector to terminate said singing module after completing a last played sound file of said music or sounds.
12. The module according to claim 8 , wherein said container is a box.
13. A singing module disposed in an interior of a container or on an object, comprising:
a processor;
a memory system;
an input system to input a plurality of music or sounds stored on said memory system;
a light sensor to activate said singing module when said light sensor is exposed to light;
a motion sensor to activate said singing module when said motion sensor senses motion;
a base that serves as an interface between said singing module and said interior of said container or said object;
a speaker that is attached to said base that emits said input music or sounds;
a battery to provide electrical power to said singing module;
an adjustable volume control to control a volume level of said plurality of music or sounds emitted from said speaker; and
an on/off switch to activate or terminate said singing module.
14. The module according to claim 13 , wherein said processor and memory system are a microprocessor.
15. The module according to claim 13 , wherein said processor and memory system are a microcontroller.
16. The module according to claim 13 , wherein said processor and memory system are a microchip.
17. The module according to claim 16 , wherein said microchip is an integrated circuit microchip.
18. The module according to claim 13 , wherein said processor terminates said singing module when said light sensor is exposed to an absence of light.
19. The module according to claim 13 , wherein said processor is activated by said motion sensor to terminate said singing module after completing a last played sound file of said music or sounds.
20. The module according to claim 13 , wherein said object is a gift or a present.
