- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates generally to a system that implements PC-specific online games on mobile phones, and more particularly to an innovative one which enables mobile phones, 3G phones and PDA phones to share the same online game through Internet and PC/Notebook.
- 2. Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed Under 37 CFR 1.97 and 37 CFR 1.98.
- Most conventional online games involve the online game software that permits multiple users to enjoy themselves in a virtual world (story, scenario and characters). Such online games comprise: web games, network games and online games. Here, it relates particularly to an online game, which can be implemented once the users link the PC with the server of an online game provider, and then downloads information after login and/or ID identification. The on-line mode covers transfer and message exchange of game software. The game software is configured as per the specification of PC or Notebook, especially in terms of the screen size, resolution and transmission frequency bandwidth, no matter the user gains an access to the game screen and handles message exchange by linking Telnet with remote servers, or by installing game software on PC and then handling message exchange by remote server. However, such online games specific to PCs cannot be implemented on mobile phones due to different specifications of the processor and screen.
- Thus, when the users play online games, they encounter the space-time restrictions of PC/Notebook. For example, when the users stay at other places without PC (long-distance transport vehicle or waiting for something), they cannot continue to play said online games for killing the time and accumulating the game achievement (power), making it impossible to maximize the amusement function and networking efficiency.
- Therefore, the present invention provides an online game system without the restriction of PC, which enables the users to play via its mobile phone the same online game without the help of PC, so as to share the contents and historic data of the same online game, and improve the amusement value and availability of the online game.
- The present invention relates to a system that implements PC-specific online games on mobile phones, which comprises a game servo center, a telecom network and a user terminal provided by the game service provider.
- The game servo center comprises at least: a user server, a game server, a communication server and a database, which are used to support and store the data required for game. Moreover, the game servo center comprises a main game software supporting PC format and a secondary game software supporting mobile phone format. Both the game software are available with the same game contents for the same personal identity. If requested by the users, the corresponding game software is retrieved from the database to generate the game contents, and then sent to the corresponding user terminal based on historic data and parameters. The game servo center also receives the game data sent from the user terminal so as to update the historic data in the database.
- The telecom network comprises a wired and wireless telecom network, which is applied to message transfer between the game servo center and the user terminal.
- The user terminal comprises PC and mobile phones of the same person registered with the game servo center, both of which can link with the game servo center through the telecom network, and receive the control program, game contents and all relevant data supported by the game servo center, so as to implement the online game.
- Accordingly, the user can select randomly a user terminal to be linked with the game servo center through a telecom network, and according to the user ID and request, gain an access to the game server to retrieve the corresponding game software and generate the practicable game contents, finally send the data to the user terminal based on historic data and parameters.
- As mentioned above, the users can enjoy online game via both PC and mobile phone to improve the game amusement and networking availability.
