- The current invention relates to a preprinted tablet which is be made of sturdy, non-porous material. The tablet can be written on by a permanent marker. The information can be erased easily with isopropyl “rubbing” alcohol or other similar substance.
- The current invention was developed with the golfer in mind. It is a preprinted tablet made of sturdy, non-porous material which can be written on by a permanent marker. The writing can be erased easily with the help of rubbing alcohol or other similar substance.
- Prior art in this area is limited. Berrier U.S. Pat. No. 6,250,006 relates to a dry erase board with a preprinted grocery list. Berrier is limited in that a dry-erase board, by its nature, is easily erasable without the use of rubbing isopropyl alcohol and therefore, cannot be used when a rough use (i.e. inclement weather, handling, or carrying in a pocket) is called for such as a golfer keeping track of her expected driving distances. In the current invention, the user's writing will withstand rough use but can be easily removed with rubbing alcohol or other similar substance.
- The current invention can also be used for other applications where pre-determined information needs to be temporarily recorded. For example, a medic or emergency medical technician (EMT) must temporarily record a patient's vital statistics and other information while in transport to a hospital or medical facility or a combat medic must be able to record information for a Medical Evacuation request (MEDEVAC). Prior art would not suit this purpose because information written on a dry-erase board can be easily erased. The current invention will allow EMTs and/or military personnel to keep track of the required information.
- Other features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent in the following detailed descriptions of the preferred embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawings, of which:
-
FIG. 1 : front surface of the present invention; -
FIG. 2 : back surface of the present invention. - The current invention in its preferred embodiment relates to a preprinted, non-porous, sturdy tablet which will aid the golfer keep track of his/her personal expected distances, in yardage, for each golf club.
- Referring to
FIG. 1 , the current invention, in its preferred embodiment, comprises a substantially rectangularplanar panel 10 having afront surface 20 and arear surface 30. Although the current invention is described as a rectangular planar panel, it can take on any shape or size, as required by the user. - The front surface has, minimally, three columns. One column lists the type of clubs that may be used by a golfer. 11 For exemplary purposes a non-exclusive list is shown in
FIG. 1 . Another column lists corresponding distances that a golfer can expect to drive a golf ball given a particular club.12 A third column, corresponding to various clubs, allows the user to list the distance she is actually driving using a particular club.14 Each column may also have empty spaces to add a club not named. - Referring to
FIG. 2 , therear surface 30 may be left blank or be preprinted with other indicia or notebook type lines so that the user may write information of his choosing. - In view of the above it will be seen that various aspects and features of the invention are achieved and other results and advantages attained. While preferred embodiments of the invention have been shown and described, it will be obvious to those skilled in the art that changes and modification may be made therein without departing from the invention in its broader aspects.
