Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to a hair barrette, and more particularly to a hair barrette including two perforated ends for air circulation purposes and for decreasing the clamping force of the ends of the hair barrette.
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art
  • Typical hair barrettes comprise an elongated and resilient and curved barrette member or body for resiliently attaching onto the head of the users and for styling the hair of the users, and a number of teeth may further be formed or attached or provided on the curved barrette member or body for engaging with the hair of the users and for further styling the hair of the users.
  • For example, U.S. Design Pat. No. 422,750 to Chou discloses one of the typical hair barrettes also comprising a number of teeth formed or attached or provided on the elongated and resilient and curved barrette member or body for engaging with the hair of the users and for further styling the hair of the users.
  • For allowing the typical hair barrettes to be solidly and stably attached or engaged or secured onto the head of the users, the elongated and resilient and curved barrette member or body should be made or formed with a predetermined resilience. However, relatively, the head of the users may also be clamped by the elongated and resilient and curved barrette member or body and the users may normally feel hurt after use.
  • U.S. Pat. No. 5,979,466 to Chung discloses another typical hair barrette also comprising an elongated and resilient and curved barrette member or frame for resiliently attaching onto the head of the users and for styling the hair of the users, and a decorative elongate strip attached onto the frame for decorative purposes.
  • However, the elongated and resilient and curved barrette member or frame should also be made or formed with a predetermined resilience for solidly and stably attaching or engaging or securing onto the head of the users, and the head of the users may also be clamped by the elongated and resilient and curved barrette member or frame and the users may normally feel hurt after use.
  • U.S. Pat. No. 6,024,102 to Huang discloses a further typical hair barrette comprising two elongated and resilient and curved barrette members or bodies for resiliently attaching onto the head of the users and for styling the hair of the users, and two position members attached to the ends of the curved barrette members or bodies for coupling or securing the curved barrette members or bodies together.
  • However, the position members at the ends of the curved barrette members or bodies are made or formed into a solid structure for solidly engaging or securing onto the side portions of the head of the users such that the users may normally feel hurt after use. Normally, the ends of the curved barrette members or bodies of the typical hair barrettes include a solid structure having no air circulating holes formed therein such that the users may feel uncomfortable after use.
  • The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages of the conventional hair barrettes.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a hair barrette including two perforated ends for air circulation purposes and for decreasing the clamping force of the ends of the hair barrette.
  • In accordance with one aspect of the invention, there is provided a hair barrette comprising a resilient and curved barrette member for resiliently attaching onto a head of a user, the barrette member including two end portions each having at least one orifice formed therein for decreasing a resilience of the curved barrette member and for decreasing the clamping force of the ends of the hair barrette, and also for air circulation purposes.
  • The barrette member includes a plurality of teeth provided on the curved barrette member for engaging with a hair of the user. The barrette member includes at least one decorative member provided thereon for decorative purposes.
  • A cable may further be provided for engaging through the orifices in the end portions of the curved barrette member and for attaching the cable to the end portions of the curved barrette member.
  • Further objectives and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from a careful reading of the detailed description provided hereinbelow, with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating an attachment of a hair barrette in accordance with the present invention onto a head of a user;
  • FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the hair barrette;
  • FIG. 3 is a perspective view similar to FIG. 1, illustrating the operation of the hair barrette;
  • FIG. 4 is a perspective view similar to FIG. 2, illustrating the other arrangement of the hair barrette; and
  • FIG. 5 is a side plan schematic view of the hair barrette illustrating the attachment of the hair barrette onto the head of the user.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Referring to the drawings, and initially to FIGS. 1 and 2, a hair barrette 1 in accordance with the present invention comprises an elongated and resilient and curved body or barrette member 10 for resiliently attaching onto the head 80 of the users 8 and for styling the hair 88 of the users 8, and including a number of teeth 11 formed or attached or provided on the curved barrette member 10 for engaging with the hair 88 of the users 8 and for further styling the hair 88 of the users 8. The curved barrette member 10 may further include one or more decorative patterns or members 12 applied or attached onto the curved barrette member 10 for decorative purposes.
  • The curved barrette member 10 includes two end portions 14 each having one or more orifices 16 formed therein (FIGS. 4, 5) for slightly or suitably decreasing the resilience of the curved barrette member 10 and thus for decreasing the clamping force of the curved barrette member 10 onto the head 80 of the users 8. The formation and the provision of the orifices 16 in the end portions 14 of the curved barrette member 10 may further be provided for air circulation purposes (FIG. 5) and for allowing the users 8 to feel more comfortable when using or wearing t hair barrette 1 in accordance with the present invention.
  • The hair barrette 1 in accordance with the present invention may further include a chain or belt or strip or rope or resilient cable 30 for engaging through the orifices 16 in the end portions 14 of the curved barrette member 10 and for attaching the cable 30 to the end portions 14 of the curved barrette member 10 and for coupling the end portions 14 of the curved barrette member 10 and for selectively attaching or retaining the curved barrette member 10 on the neck portion 80 of the users 8 and for preventing the curved barrette member 10 from being disengaged from the neck portion 80 of the users 8.
  • It is to be noted that the typical hair barrettes failed to provide one or more orifices 16 formed or provided in the end portions 14 of the curved barrette member 10 such that the end portions 14 of the curved barrette member 10 may solidly clamp and engage with the side portions of the head 80 of the users 8 such that the users 8 may normally feel hurt or may feel uncomfortable after use. In addition, the typical hair barrettes failed to provide one or more orifices 16 formed or provided in the end portions 14 of the curved barrette member 10 and thus may not be used for engaging with a chain or belt or strip or rope or resilient cable such that the typical hair barrettes may not be attached or retained on the neck portion 80 of the users 8.
  • Accordingly, the hair barrette in accordance with the present invention includes two perforated ends for air circulation purposes and for decreasing the clamping force of the ends of the hair barrette.
  • Although this invention has been described with a certain degree of particularity, it is to be understood that the present disclosure has been made by way of example only and that numerous changes in the detailed construction and the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
