Abstract
A bottom board for a playing table includes a board body, at least one anti-slip cloth layer enclosed around the board body entirely, and at least one fiber cloth layer enclosed around the anti-slip cloth layer entirely. Each of the board body, the anti-slip cloth layer and the fiber cloth layer has a surface sprayed with a resin layer. Thus, the bottom board has a reinforced hardness, so that the bottom board will not be dimpled due to a violent hit, thereby enhancing the lifetime of the bottom board. In addition, the bottom board is formed integrally and has a smaller volume and a light weight, thereby facilitating assembly, transportation and storage of the bottom board. Further, the bottom board has a waterproof feature so that the bottom board can be used outdoors.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a bottom board and, more particularly, to a bottom board for a playing table.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- A conventional playing table 60 in accordance with the prior art shown in
FIG. 6 comprises atable body 62, abottom board 64 mounted in thetable body 62, and two stands (not shown) mounted on the bottom of thetable body 62. Thebottom board 64 is made of a solid stone plate. However, thebottom board 64 has a greater thickness to reinforce its hardness, so that thebottom board 64 has a larger volume and a heavy weight, thereby causing inconvenience in assembly, transportation and storage of thebottom board 64. - The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a bottom board that has a reinforced hardness, so that the bottom board will not be dimpled due to a violent hit, thereby enhancing the lifetime of the bottom board.
- Another objective of the present invention is to provide a bottom board that is formed integrally and has a smaller volume and a light weight, thereby facilitating assembly, transportation and storage of the bottom board.
- A further objective of the present invention is to provide a bottom board that has a waterproof feature so that the bottom board can be used outdoors.
- A further objective of the present invention is to provide a bottom board that has an inexpensive price, thereby decreasing the costs of fabrication.
- Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a playing table in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 2 is a partially plan cross-sectional view of the playing table as shown inFIG. 1 . -
FIG. 3 is a partially plan cross-sectional view of a bottom board in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 4 is a flow chart of a method for making the bottom board as shown inFIG. 3 . -
FIG. 5 is a partially plan cross-sectional view of a bottom board in accordance with another preferred embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 6 is a partially plan cross-sectional view of a conventional bottom board in accordance with the prior art. - Referring to the drawings and initially to
FIGS. 1-3 , a playing table 1 in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises atable body 10, abottom board 12 mounted in thetable body 10, and two stands 11 mounted on a bottom of thetable body 10. - The
bottom board 12 includes aboard body 20, at least oneanti-slip cloth layer 40 enclosed around theboard body 20 entirely, and at least onefiber cloth layer 50 enclosed around theanti-slip cloth layer 40 entirely. Each of theboard body 20, theanti-slip cloth layer 40 and thefiber cloth layer 50 has a surface sprayed with aresin layer 30. - Accordingly, the
bottom board 12 has a reinforced hardness, so that thebottom board 12 will not be dimpled due to a violent hit, thereby enhancing the lifetime of thebottom board 12. In addition, thebottom board 12 is formed integrally and has a smaller volume and a light weight, thereby facilitating assembly, transportation and storage of thebottom board 12. Further, thebottom board 12 has a waterproof feature so that thebottom board 12 can be used outdoors. Further, thebottom board 12 has an inexpensive price, thereby decreasing the costs of fabrication. - As shown in
FIG. 4 , a method for making thebottom board 12 in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a) providing aboard body 20 which is processed by a surface treatment, b) spraying aresin layer 30 onto the surface of theboard body 20, c) providing at least oneanti-slip cloth layer 40 enclosed around theboard body 20 entirely, d) spraying aresin layer 30 onto the surface of theanti-slip cloth layer 40, e) providing at least onefiber cloth layer 50 enclosed around theanti-slip cloth layer 40 entirely, f) spraying aresin layer 30 onto the surface of thefiber cloth layer 50, g) proceeding a cold press process, and h) proceeding a surface trimming process, thereby forming thebottom board 12 including theboard body 20, theresin layer 30, theanti-slip cloth layer 40, theresin layer 30, thefiber cloth layer 50, and theresin layer 30. - As shown in
FIG. 5 , thebottom board 12 includes at least twofiber cloth layers 50 enclosed around theanti-slip cloth layer 40 entirely to reinforce the hardness of thebottom board 12. - Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
