Synchronously, the drum driving motor 35 is stopped so that it is seen as if the drum 31 was pressed by the indicator 32 and stopped.

- An L-shaped cover 56 extending so as to cover the medal ejection port 53 b is provided at the top end of the rear wall 55 .
- the rear wall 55 is provided with a protrusion portion 57 extending almost in the overall length in the width direction (the direction perpendicular to the drawing sheet in FIG. 18 ) of the medal tray 50 .
- the protrusion portion 57 is disposed above the bottom wall 51 so that a space for receiving the medals M is created between the protrusion portion 57 and the bottom wall 51 .
- the protrusion portion 57 is formed in a tapered shape so as to be narrowed in the vertical direction from the base portion joined to the rear wall 55 toward the tip. Such a protrusion portion 57 is provided by bending a plate member in a V shape and joining the bent plate member to the rear wall 55 .

- the protrusion portion 57 does not exist, the medals M′ leaning against the rear wall 55 are stacked. As a result, as shown by an imaginary line L 2 , the medals M are stacked so as to form a downward gradient from the rear wall 55 to the front wall 52 , and clogging around the medal ejection port 53 b tends to occur early. Therefore, the number of medals M which can be accumulated in the medal tray 50 without arrangement by the player becomes smaller than the number in the medal tray 50 of this embodiment.
- the game board 43 has, in order from the upstream side (corresponding to the depth side) in the medal flowing direction to the downstream side (on front side), a monitor 60 , a medal ejection port 61 , an upper table 62 , a medal guiding device 63 , a checker 64 , and a lower table 65 .

Abstract
The present invention provides a medal tray realizing a proper medal pile state. A medal tray 50 provided for a medal game machine 1, as a portion where medals M are ejected, comprises: a bottom wall 51 on which medals M are accumulated, side and rear walls 53, 54, 55 surrounding three sides of the bottom wall and a front wall 52 disposed so as to face the rear wall 55 and whose height is set to be lower than the rear wall 55, and the rear wall 55 is provided with a protrusion portion 57 for regulating accumulation of medals along the rear wall 55 so as to project toward the front wall 52.
Description
- The present invention relates to a medal tray provided for a medal game machine as a portion where medals are ejected.
- A medal game machine is provided with a medal tray as a portion where medals are ejected. In a medal tray of this type, a front wall is provided with its height lower than that of rear and side walls so that medals accumulated on the bottom wall can be easily taken out.
- Problem to be solved by the Invention
- Medals ejected to the medal tray tend to stack along the rear wall. To prevent medals from dropping from the short front wall, the medal ejection position in the medal tray is often set near the rear wall. When medals are piled up high near the rear wall, however, even if the medal tray has a sufficient depth, the periphery of the medal ejection port is likely to become clogged with the ejected medals, and the player has to frequently arrange the pile state of the medals.
- An object of the present invention is therefore to provide a medal tray realizing a proper medal pile state.
- Means for Solving the Problem
- The present invention solves the above problem by the following means.
- The present invention solves the above problem by a medal tray provided for a medal game machine as a portion where medals are ejected the medal tray comprises a bottom wall on which medals are accumulated and side and rear walls surrounding three sides of the bottom wall, wherein the rear wall is provided with a protrusion portion for regulating accumulation of medals along the rear wall, so that the protrusion portion projects forward and is disposed above the bottom wall so as to be separated from the bottom wall.
- According to the invention, by providing the rear wall with the protrusion portion, near the rear wall, accumulation of medals between the bottom wall and the protrusion portion is regulated, and medals exceeding the regulation are accumulated forward. Consequently, there is no possibility that medals are unlimitedly piled up along the rear wall, and the apex of a mountain formed by accumulation of medals gets shifted forward. Thus, the medal ejection space is assured on the rear wall side while preventing clogging of medals, and a larger number of medals can be accumulated on the bottom wall without arrangement by the player.
- In the medal tray of the invention, a medal ejection port may be provided in the rear wall, and the protrusion portion may be disposed between the medal ejection port and the bottom wall. In this case, since the protrusion portion is interposed between the medal ejection port and the bottom wall, closing of the medal ejection port with medals on the bottom wall is suppressed.
- Further, a curved wall may be provided between the bottom wall and the protrusion portion. In the case where such a curved wall is provided, there is no possibility that medals are clogged between the bottom wall and the protrusion portion. The protrusion portion may be tapered in the vertical direction from the base portion joined to the rear wall toward the tip. By employing such a tapered shape, while suppressing decrease in volume of the medal tray due to provision of the protrusion portion, an effect of the protrusion portion can be sufficiently obtained. The protrusion portion may be provided along the overall length in the width direction of the rear wall. By providing the protrusion portion along the overall length in the width direction, the effect of the projection can be maximally obtained. The present invention may be also embodied as a medal game machine having the described medal tray.
- Effect of the Invention
- As described above, according to the invention, there is no possibility that medals are unlimitedly piled up along the rear wall, and the apex of a mountain formed by accumulation of medals gets shifted forward. Thus, the medal ejection space is assured on the rear wall side while preventing clogging of medals, and a larger number of medals can be accumulated on the bottom wall without arrangement by the player.

FIG. 1 is a front view,FIG. 2 is a plan view, andFIG. 3 is a right side view. As obviously understood from the diagrams, agame machine 1 is constructed as a commercial game machine (so-called arcade game machine) which is set in a commercial facility such as a game hall and providing a game within a predetermined range in compensation for consumption of an economic value of a player, and includes amain unit 2, and threesub units 3 disposed in the center of the front face of themain unit 2 and on the right and left sides of the front face respectively. Each of thesub units 3 can be installed in a proper position apart from themain unit 2. The economic value in thegame machine 1 is consumed by insertion of medals into thesub unit 3. - (Configuration of Main Unit)
- As specifically shown in FIGS. 4 to 6, the
main unit 2 has achassis 5 which can stand by itself on the floor of a shop or the like. Thechassis 5 is constructed by using wood or a resin material like a normal game machine. Amonitor 6 is mounted on the left side of the front face of thechassis 5 and alottery machine 7 is mounted on the right side of themonitor 6. As themonitor 6, a large display such as a liquid crystal projector or a plasma display is preferably used. Obviously, a liquid crystal display or a CRT may be also used as the monitor. Thelottery machine 7 will be described later. - The
chassis 5 of themain unit 2 is provided with various decorations to improve the decorating effect of thegame machine 1. For example,decorations 8 are provided on the outside of themonitor 6 and thelottery machine 7. Similarly, to improve the decorating effect of thegame machine 1, asail 10 is provided on atop face 5 a of thechassis 5. As shown inFIGS. 5 and 6 , thesail 10 has aframe work 11 and ascreen 12 stretched on the surface of theframe work 11. Theframe work 11 is constructed by combining pluralvertical frames 13 and plural lateral frames 14. On the other hand, thescreen 12 is constructed by, for example, vinyl cloth or sailcloth of white. Thescreen 12 is fixed to the surface of theframe work 11 so as to have proper slackness between the vertical frames 13. For fixing thescreen 12, various means may be used. - A
cover 5 b covering the lower part of thesail 10 is fixed to the front edge of thetop face 5 a of thechassis 5. On the back side of thecover 5 b, pluralframe supporting plates 15 are provided so as to stand in parallel with the anteroposterior direction of thechassis 5 and upright at intervals in the horizontal direction (the horizontal direction ofFIG. 1 ) of thechassis 5. Each of theframe supporting plates 15 is fixed to thetop face 5 a and thecover 5 b of thechassis 5 by using bolts 16. Aframe holder 17 is attached to each of theframe supporting plates 15. With respect to the twoframe supporting plates 15 on this side ofFIG. 6 , theframe holders 17 are provided on the back side and are not seen. - As specifically shown in
FIG. 7 , theframe holder 17 has a cylindrical body of a square shape in cross section with one side face open. Flanges 17 a (only one side is shown inFIG. 7 ) are provided at both edges of the opening. Theframe holder 17 is fixed onto theframe supporting plate 15 by screwing abolt 18 attached to the flange 17 a into theframe supporting plate 15. By attaching theframe holder 17 to theframe supporting plate 15, an elongated cavity is formed between theframe supporting plate 15 and theframe holder 17. By inserting the bottom end of thevertical frame 13 into the cavity, thesail 10 is attached onto thechassis 5 in a state where thesail 10 is tilted so as to project at the front side of thegame machine 1 towards the top end thereof. - In the
frame supporting plate 15, plural screw holes 19 into which thebolts 18 attached to the bottom end of theframe holder 17 are to be screwed are formed. The screw holes 19 are provided along an arc having a predetermined radius of curvature around a fulcrum as a center which is set on the top end side of theframe holder 17. Although not shown, screw holes corresponding to thebolts 18 attached to the top end side of theframe holder 17 are also provided along an arc having a predetermined radius of curvature around the fulcrum as a center. On the top end side, any one of the screw holes may be used as the fulcrum for changing the tilt angle of theframe holder 17. Therefore, by changing thescrew hole 19 to which thebolt 18 is to be screwed, the tilt of theframe holder 17 is changed and thereby, the tilt angle of thesail 10 can be changed. When thevertical frames 13 are pulled out from theframe holder 17, thesail 10 itself can be detached from thechassis 5. - As shown in FIGS. 4 to 6, a
light box 20 is provided at the bottom end on the front side of thechassis 5. As shown inFIGS. 8 and 9 , thelight box 20 has a closedcabinet 21 and can be detached from thechassis 5. Atop face 21 a of thecabinet 20 is inclined and atransparent panel 22 is provided almost in the full length in the width direction (corresponding to the horizontal direction of the chassis 5) of thelight box 20 in part of thetop face 21 a. Aprojector 23 is disposed in thecabinet 21 so as to face thetransparent panel 22. Theprojector 23 is for projecting a figure or the like printed on aslide 24 by illumination light emitted from alight source 25. The direction of projection is set to the vertical direction. As obvious fromFIG. 5 , thelight box 20 is disposed on the front side of thechassis 5 so that thetransparent panel 22 is positioned just below thesail 10. With the configuration, the illumination light of theprojector 23 can be received by thescreen 12 of thesail 10 and an image of the figure or the like of theslide 24 can be projected onto thescreen 12.FIG. 10 shows an example. An image projected onto thescreen 12 may be a still picture or a motion picture. Theslide 24 may not be provided and a dynamic image may be formed on thescreen 12 by changing the colors, patterns, and the like of the illumination light from thelight source 25. - When the
sub units 3 are disposed around thechassis 5 as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the position of each of thesub units 3 is set so as not to overlap the optical path extending from theprojector 23 to thescreen 12. By surrounding thelight box 20 with thesub units 3, there is no possibility that a player or the like enters the optical path extending from theprojector 23 to thescreen 12. -
FIGS. 11 and 12 show the main portion of thelottery machine 7. As shown inFIG. 11 , thelottery machine 7 has acabinet 30, adrum 31 disposed on the front side of thecabinet 30 so as to be turnable around the axis in the anteroposterior direction, and anindicator 32. Aball path 33 is provided around thedrum 31. As shown inFIG. 10 , the surface of thedrum 31 is equally divided into eight pieces in the circumferential direction andnumbers 1 to 8 are indicated in the areas respectively. - As shown in
FIG. 12 , thecabinet 30 has therein aball loading mechanism 34, adrum driving motor 35, anindicator driving mechanism 36, and aball collecting mechanism 37. Theball loading mechanism 34 loads a ball B for lottery (refer toFIG. 11 ) into theball path 33 in response to a load instruction given from the control system of thegame machine 1 to thelottery machine 7. Thedrum drive motor 35 rotates thedrum 31 around its axis as a center. Theindicator driving mechanism 36 monitors whether or not the ball B drops in apocket 38 provided just below thedrum 31 and continued from theball path 33. In response to detection of drop of the ball B into thepocket 38, theindicator driving mechanism 36 moves theindicator 32 from a standby position P1 in which theindicator 32 lies horizontally to an action position P2 in which theindicator 32 lies vertically as shown inFIG. 11 . The tip of theindicator 32 is formed in a needle shape and can selectively point one of the areas on thedrum 31 in the action position P2. - The ball B dropped in the
pocket 38 is led to theball collecting mechanism 37 via aduct 39. Theball collecting mechanism 37 gives the ball B back to theball loading mechanism 34 and is constructed, for example, so as to carry the ball B received from theduct 39 upward in the vertical direction by a teethedbelt 37 a which runs in the vertical direction and pass the ball B to aball holding part 34 a of theball loading mechanism 34 around the turn position at the top end of thebelt 37 a. - Such a
lottery machine 7 is provided to select one of thenumbers 1 to 8 provided on thedrum 31 and its function is realized as follows. First, when a lottery start instruction is given from the control system of thegame machine 1 to thelottery machine 7, in response to the instruction, thedrum driving motor 35 is driven to start rotating thedrum 31. Subsequently, when a ball loading instruction is given to theball loading mechanism 34, the ball B is loaded to theball path 33. When the loaded ball B reaches thepocket 38, theindicator driving mechanism 36 is driven to drive theindicator 32 to the action position P2. Synchronously, thedrum driving motor 35 is stopped so that it is seen as if thedrum 31 was pressed by theindicator 32 and stopped. After thedrum 31 stops, the number indicated by the tip of theindicator 32 is specified by the rotation position of the drum driving motor 35 (for example, it is detected by an encoder), and one of thenumbers 1 to 8 is determined as the number chosen by the lottery. The ball B in thepocket 38 is returned by theball collecting mechanism 37 for the next lottery. The front side of thelottery machine 7 is covered with a transparent cover to prevent the ball B from jumping out or the like. The lottery probability may be changed by varying the time relation between the timing the ball B reaches thepocket 38 and the timing thedrum 31 stops within the range the player does not notice. Such an operation can be used for adjusting, for example, a payout ratio. As long as any of the numbers can be selected, thelottery machine 7 is not limited to the above-described configuration. The configuration may be properly changed. - (Configuration of Sub Unit)
- The
sub unit 3 will now be described with reference toFIG. 13 and subsequent drawings. Since each of the threesub units 3 has the same configuration as each other, one of thesub units 3 will be described below. As shown in FIGS. 13 to 16, in thesubunit 3, right and left twostations 40 are integrated on asingle chassis 41. Thestation 40 is the minimum unit of the place where the player plays a game. As obviously understood with reference toFIGS. 1 and 3 , the height of thechassis 41 of thesub unit 3 is regulated so as not to hide themonitor 6 and the main part (including thedrum 31 and the pocket 38) of thelottery machine 7 of themain unit 2. Although a medal hopper for holding and ejecting medals is provided in thechassis 41, it is not shown. - Referring again to FIGS. 13 to 16, a
game space 42 is provided above thechassis 41, and agame board 43 is constructed for each of thestations 40 on the bottom side of thegame space 42. The details of thegame board 43 will be described later. Between thegame boards 43, amedal ejecting device 44 shared by thestations 40 is disposed. To prevent an access to thegame board 43 by the player, thegame space 42 is covered with a transparent cover 45 (which is showed to be opaque in FIGS. 14 to 16). Acontrol panel 46 is provided on the front side of thechassis 41. Thecontrol panel 46 is provided with a pair of right and leftmedal loading devices 47 for eachstation 40. Themedal loading device 47 is provided to load a medal as a game medium by rolling it in a state where the medal stands in the vertical direction, and the tip of themedal inserting device 47 penetrates thecover 45 and is inserted in thegame space 42. To enable the medal loading direction to be adjusted according to the intension of the player, the direction of themedal loading device 47 is made adjustable at least in the horizontal direction. As themedal loading device 47, a heretofore known medal shooter commonly used for a so-called pusher game may be used. - The
control panel 46 has a push-buttontype operation switch 48 which is provided for eachstation 40. Theoperation switch 48 is operated by the player to instruct, for example, the timing of loading the ball B by thelottery machine 7. Obviously, theoperation switch 48 may be provided for other purposes. - The
control panel 46 also has amedal tray 50 for eachstation 40. Themedal tray 50 is provided as a place to which medals obtained by the player are ejected.FIGS. 17 and 18 show the details of themedal tray 50. Themedal tray 50 is obtained by process a plate made of a metal material such as a stainless steel plate, and has arectangular bottom wall 51, afront wall 52 disposed around thebottom wall 51, right and leftside walls rear wall 55. Theside walls flanges medal tray 50 to thechassis 41. In the top end of thefront wall 52, a turn-back portion 52 a is formed outward. - The top face side of the
medal tray 50 is open and the height of thefront wall 52 is set sufficiently lower than theother walls 53 to 55, so that the player can take out medals. As obvious fromFIG. 18 , thefront wall 52 has the function of preventing medals M from dropping forward of themedal tray 50 and holding the medals M in a state where the medals M are stacked on thebottom wall 51. It is therefore desirable to set the height of thefront wall 52 as large as possible in a range where taking of the medals M is not hindered. There is, however, a case where thefront wall 52 is not always necessary such as a case where thebottom wall 51 has a sufficiently large area. It is also possible to incline upward the front part of thebottom wall 51 and omit thefront wall 52. - In the
left wall 53, a slit-shapedmedal ejection port 53 b which is long in the vertical direction for ejecting the medals M to themedal tray 50 is provided nearer to therear wall 55 side than thefront wall 52. An L-shapedcover 56 extending so as to cover themedal ejection port 53 b is provided at the top end of therear wall 55. Further, therear wall 55 is provided with aprotrusion portion 57 extending almost in the overall length in the width direction (the direction perpendicular to the drawing sheet inFIG. 18 ) of themedal tray 50. Theprotrusion portion 57 is disposed above thebottom wall 51 so that a space for receiving the medals M is created between theprotrusion portion 57 and thebottom wall 51. Theprotrusion portion 57 is formed in a tapered shape so as to be narrowed in the vertical direction from the base portion joined to therear wall 55 toward the tip. Such aprotrusion portion 57 is provided by bending a plate member in a V shape and joining the bent plate member to therear wall 55. Theprotrusion portion 57 may be formed by various methods such as a pulling material, casting, and the like. The position of theprotrusion portion 57 is set just below themedal ejection port 53 b and the tip of theprotrusion portion 57 almost coincides with that of thecover 56. The position of the bottom end of theprotrusion portion 57 also almost coincides with the top end of thefront wall 52. Further, acurved wall 58 having an arc shape in cross section is provided between thebottom wall 51 and theprotrusion portion 57. - In the
medal tray 50 as described above, the medals M ejected from themedal ejection port 53 b into thetray 50 are guided by theprotrusion portion 57 and dropped onto thebottom wall 51 to be stacked. Since therear wall 55 is provided with theprotrusion portion 57, the medals M are not likely to be stacked while leaning against therear wall 55 as shown by an imaginary line M′ inFIG. 18 . Consequently, as shown by an imaginary line L1 inFIG. 18 , a pile of the medals M stacked on thebottom wall 51 extends from its apex so as to be uniform in the anteroposterior direction of the tray 50 (the horizontal direction ofFIG. 18 ). That makes hard for the medals M to stack around themedal ejection port 53 b, and a relatively large number of medals M can be accumulated in themedal tray 50. If theprotrusion portion 57 does not exist, the medals M′ leaning against therear wall 55 are stacked. As a result, as shown by an imaginary line L2, the medals M are stacked so as to form a downward gradient from therear wall 55 to thefront wall 52, and clogging around themedal ejection port 53 b tends to occur early. Therefore, the number of medals M which can be accumulated in themedal tray 50 without arrangement by the player becomes smaller than the number in themedal tray 50 of this embodiment. - The details of the
game board 43 will now be described with reference to FIGS. 19 to 31. The configurations of thegame boards 43 are common, so that one of thegame boards 43 will be described hereinbelow. As shown inFIG. 19 , thegame board 43 has, in order from the upstream side (corresponding to the depth side) in the medal flowing direction to the downstream side (on front side), amonitor 60, amedal ejection port 61, an upper table 62, amedal guiding device 63, achecker 64, and a lower table 65. Themonitor 60 is provided as display means for executing a game and making various dramatic presentations in eachstation 40. Themedal ejection port 61 is disposed just below themonitor 60. Medals sent from a medal hopper in thechassis 41 to themedal guide 66 are ejected from themedal ejection port 61 toward the upper table 62. The upper table 62 is provided so as to be movable between a horizontal position indicated by the solid lines in the diagram and an action position in which the upper table 62 is lifted upward by using thefront edge 62 a as a fulcrum as shown by imaginary lines in the diagram. - FIGS. 20 to 24 show the details of a portion extending from the upper table 62 to the lower table 65. A
medal guide plate 67 is provided above the lower table 65. Themedal guide plate 67 is transparent, and twomedal guide plates 67 are provided for eachstation 40 so as to have a one-to-one corresponding relation with themedal loading devices 47. InFIGS. 20 and 21 , only themedal guide plate 67 corresponding to the right-sidemedal loading device 47 is shown. As obviously understood fromFIGS. 22 and 24 , themedal guide plate 67 is tilted downward toward the depth side (the side on which themonitor 60 is provided) of thegame board 43 and the center in the horizontal direction. The medal M loaded from themedal loading device 47 rolls on themedal guide plate 67 while changing its direction toward the center along the slope of themedal guide plate 67 and drops onto themedal guiding device 63. Themedal guiding device 63 guides the medals M to thechecker 64 while arranging the direction of the medals M in the anteroposterior direction of thegame board 43. The details will be described later. - The
checker 64 is fixed in a predetermined position on thegame board 43, and a number of slit-shaped medal pass holes 64 a are provided on the top face side of thechecker 64. Themedal pass hole 64 a extends in the anterposterior direction of thegame board 43. The medals M dropped from themedal guiding device 63 to thechecker 64 can be divided into medals which have passed the medal pass holes 64 a and medals which have not passed the medal pass holes 64 a in accordance with the drop positions. The medal M passed through themedal pass hole 64 a is taken into thechecker 64 and returned to the medal hopper in thechassis 41. On the other hand, the medal M which has not passed themedal pass hole 64 a drops onto the lower table 65. - Although not shown, a number of medals are stacked flat on the lower table 65. A
pusher 68 is provided on the depth side of the lower table 65. As shown well inFIG. 23 , thepusher 68 is supported on the lower table 65 viarollers 69 disposed on the front and rear sides. Consequently, thepusher 68 can shuttle in the anteroprosterior direction along the lower table 65. Each of FIGS. 19 to 24 shows a state where thepusher 68 is positioned backward. Thepusher 68 is driven between the position shown in the diagrams and a position protruding forward by a not-shown pusher driving mechanism. As the pusher driving mechanism, any of various mechanisms used in heretofore known pusher game machines such as a mechanism of converting rotation of a motor to reciprocating motion of thepusher 68 by a slider crank mechanism may be employed. - By the reciprocation of the
pusher 68 in the longitudinal direction, the medals dropped onto the lower table 65 are pushed and a pileup occurs in the medals on the lower table 65. Depending on the degree of the pileup, a medal drops from thefront edge 65 a or aside edge 65 b of the lower table 65 (refer toFIG. 20 ). The dropped medal is collected by the not-shown medal hopper. Medals dropped from thefront edge 65 a are detected by a not-shown medal drop sensor, and medals are ejected from the medal hopper to themedal tray 50 in accordance with the number of detected medals. - The details of the
medal guiding device 63 will now be described with reference to FIGS. 25 to 31. As shown inFIG. 25 , themedal guiding device 63 has aguide block 70 and adriving mechanism 71 for driving theguide block 70. FIGS. 29 to 31 show the details of theguide block 70. Theguide block 70 is obtained by arranging and attaching plural (ten pieces in the diagram) ofmedal guide members 73 at equal pitches in a predetermined direction on acommon base board 72. Themedal guide member 73 is a resin molded product whose lower part has a rectangular parallelepiped shape and having, on the top face side, amedal receiving face 73 a of a semi-cylinder shape. A synthetic resin used for themedal guide member 73 has to have proper abrasion resistance to abrasion with the medal. For example, POM is suitably used as the material of themedal guide member 73. Aprojection 73 b is provided at the top of themedal guide member 73. Theprojection 73 b extends in the axial direction of themedal receiving face 73 a, in other words, in the anteroposterior direction of thegame board 43. The range in which theprojection 73 b is provided is regulated to the rear half of themedal guide member 73 with respect to the anteroposterior direction of thegame board 43. Agap 74 is provided between the neighboringmedal guide members 73 on thebase board 72. Thegap 74 is slightly larger than the thickness of the medal. Although thegaps 74 may be provided at predetermined intervals, in this embodiment, thegap 74 gradually increases toward thechecker 64. With the configuration, when plural medals drop in thegap 74 at the same time, the medals are prevented from being clogged in thegap 74. - As shown in
FIGS. 30 and 31 , eachmedal guide member 73 is individually attached from the under face side of thebase board 72 by using afitting screw 75. Therefore, when a specificmedal guide member 73 becomes dirty or is damaged, only themedal guide member 73 can be detached from thebase board 72 for replacing. Abase 76 is attached to the under face side of thebase board 72. Thebase 76 has a supporting part 76 a for supporting theguide block 70 and acoupling part 76 b extending rearward from the supporting part 76 a. The supporting part 76 a is inclined forward with respect to thecoupling part 76 b, thereby inclining thebase board 72 downward toward thechecker 64. Themedal guide member 73 is also gradually inclined downward from arear end 73 c to afront end 73 d. - As shown in FIGS. 25 to 28, a
base frame 77 fixed to thechassis 41, aslider 79 supported by thebase frame 77 via a pair ofguide rails 78 so as to be movable in the horizontal direction, and amotor 80 as a driving source of theslider 79 are provided. The rear end portion of theslider 79 is turned back downward, and aguide plate 81 is attached to the turn-back part. In theguide plate 81, aguide groove 81 a extending in the vertical direction is formed. On the other hand, acrank arm 82 is attached to anoutput shaft 80 a of themotor 80 so as to be rotatable integrally with theoutput shaft 80 a. Acrank pin 83 is attached to the tip of thecrank arm 82. The tip of thecrank pin 83 is inserted in theguide groove 81 a of theguide plate 81. Further, theguide block 70 is disposed above thebase frame 77, and thecoupling part 76 b of thebase 76 is coupled to theslider 79. - Therefore, when the
output shaft 80 a of themotor 80 is rotated in the predetermined direction, the motion is converted by thecrank pin 83 and theguide plate 81 to reciprocating motion in the horizontal direction of theslider 79, and theguide block 70 coupled to theslider 79 via thebase 76 reciprocates in the horizontal direction. As shown inFIG. 26 , thegaps 74 between themedal guide members 73 provided for theguide block 70 extend in the same direction as that of the medal pass holes 64 a of thechecker 64. As shown inFIG. 28 , thebase board 72 as the bottom of thegap 74 is disposed above thechecker 64 and, moreover, its front side is inclined downward toward thechecker 64. - With such a configuration, a medal loaded from the
medal loading device 47 and rolled along themetal guide plate 67 drops onto themedal receiving face 73 a of theguide block 70. Since themedal receiving face 73 a is formed in a semi-cylindrical shape, the medal dropped on themedal receiving face 73 a slides along themedal receiving face 73 a and is led to thegap 74. Consequently, the direction of the medal dropped in a state where the medal is slightly inclined toward the center side of thegame board 43 from themedal guide plate 67 is aligned in the anteroposterior direction of the game board 43 (the extending direction of the gap 74). The medal led to thegap 74 stands and rolls down along thebaseboard 72 in a state where its direction is aligned to the same direction as themedal pass hole 64 a. Since theprojection 73 b is provided at the top of themedal receiving face 73 a, even if a medal dropped from theguide plate 67 onto themedal receiving face 73 a falls down sideways, because the medal comes into contact with theprojection 73 b, the balance of the medal is lost, and the medal does not become stable in a state where it lies sideways. By collision of the medal with theprojection 73 b, the force of the medal is weakened, and the medal is dropped into thegap 74 without fail. The medal drops via thegap 74 onto thechecker 64, so that it becomes unlikely that the medal drops on thechecker 64 in a state where the medal lies sideways. The effect of adjustment of the direction of the medal by theprojection 73 b has correlation with the length of theprojection 73 b. For example, when theprojection 73 b is short, the effect of theprojection 73 b is relatively low, the frequency that the medal falls sideways onto thechecker 64 increases and, as a result, the probability that the medal enters thechecker 64 decreases. - By reciprocating the
guide block 70 in the horizontal direction by thedriving mechanism 71, the position of thegap 74 and the position of themedal pass hole 64 a are momentarily switched between junction and disjunction in the anteroposterior direction. When a medal drops onto thechecker 64 at a timing thegap 74 and themedal pass hole 64 a almost coincide with each other, that is, they are positioned in a straight line in the longitudinal direction, the medal passes through themedal pass hole 64 a. A medal dropped onto thechecker 64 at a different timing is flipped by thechecker 64 and drops onto the lower table 65. As shown inFIG. 28 , thechecker 64 is provided with aguide rail 84 for guiding the medal passed through themedal pass hole 64 a into the medal hopper. - As described above, the medal game machine of the embodiment has the
medal guiding device 63 for aligning the directions of the medals loaded onto thegame board 43 with the direction of the medal pass holes 64 a in thechecker 64 before they pass through thechecker 64. Consequently, even a player who does not have enough skill can also enjoy playing with medals passing or not passing through thechecker 64 as a game. Alternately, thebase board 72 and themedal guide member 73 of themedal guiding device 63 may be tilted in the direction opposite to that ofFIG. 31 , that is, they may be formed to get lower from thefront end 73 d of themedal guide member 73 forward therear end 73 c, and thechecker 64 may be disposed on therear end 73 c side of themedal guide member 73. - FIGS. 32 to 34 show the details of the
medal ejecting device 44. Themedal ejecting device 44 is provided to eject a large amount of medals to thegame board 43 at the time of a big hit or the like, and has amedal tray 90, abelt conveyor 91 extended so as to connect the right and leftgame boards 43 at the back of themedal tray 90, andshooters 92 disposed between the both ends of thebelt conveyor 91 and the upper tables 62. Themedal tray 90 is provided so as to be rotatable around anaxis 90 a at the upper rear end as a fulcrum, and is driven by a not-shown actuator between a standby position extended almost horizontally forward from theaxis 90 a and an action position (the position shown inFIGS. 33 and 34 ) in which the front end of themedal tray 90 is lifted by using theaxis 90 a as a fulcrum. The actuator driving themedal tray 90 may be an actuator such as a motor that generates rotating motion or an actuator such as a pneumatic cylinder that generates linear motion. In the case of the actuator that generates rotating motion, it is sufficient to transmit the rotating motion to the periphery of theaxis 90 a to turn themedal tray 90. In the case of the actuator that generates linear motion, it is sufficient to convert the linear motion to rotating motion of themedal tray 90 by using a link mechanism or the like. - Medals can be ejected from the not-shown medal hopper to the
medal tray 90. When themedal tray 90 is moved from the standby position to the action position, the medals on themedal tray 90 drop onto thebelt conveyor 91. By driving thebelt conveyor 91 to the right or left direction, the medals on thebelt conveyor 91 are conveyed to one of theshooters 92, and can be ejected onto one of the upper tables 62 via theshooter 92. - Since the
belt conveyor 91 is disposed between themedal tray 90 and theshooter 92, theshooter 92 can be made short. While suppressing the height of themedal tray 90, theshooter 92 can be sufficiently tilted. If thebelt conveyor 91 is not used, theshooter 92 is extended to the center area in the horizontal direction of themedal tray 90 and means for directing the drop direction of medals from themedal tray 90 to one of theshooters 92 is provided. In this case, when theshooter 92 is inclined sufficiently, the overall height of theshooter 92 increases, accordingly, the position of themedal tray 90 has to be changed upward. However, inconveniences occur such that the overall height of thesub unit 3 increases and themonitor 6 and thelottery machine 7 of themain unit 2 behind themedal ejecting device 44 are hidden from sight. In contrast, in this embodiment, medals are carried in a horizontal state to a place very close to each of the upper tables 62 by using thebelt conveyor 91, so that theshooter 92 can be made shorter and the overall height can be suppressed. Consequently, the position of themedal tray 90 can be lowered. - (Configuration of Control System)
- Next, the control system of the
game machine 1 will be described with reference toFIG. 35 and subsequent drawings.FIG. 35 is a block diagram of the control system provided for themain unit 2. Themain unit 2 has acontroller 100. Thecontroller 100 is constructed by a computer unit having a microprocessor. To thecontroller 100, aROM 101 and aRAM 102 as main storages are connected. To thecontroller 100, themonitor 6 is connected as a display, and aball loading mechanism 34,drum driving motor 35, andindicator driving mechanism 36 of thelottery machine 7 are connected as devices to be controlled. Each of the mechanisms has one or more actuators, and thecontroller 100 is connected to the actuators via drive circuits, that is not shown. - To realize a predetermined game by exchanging information between the
main unit 2 and thesub unit 3, thecontroller 100 of themain unit 2 is connected to the control system of eachsub unit 3. Further, to thecontroller 100 of themain unit 2, acommunication controller 103 is also connected. Thecommunication controller 103 is provided to perform information communications via a predetermined communication line with thecontroller 100 of themain unit 2 of anothergame machine 1 to construct a single game system by connectingplural game machines 1. Themain unit 2 may be connected to each other via thecommunication controllers 103 and servers, or via thecommunication controllers 103 without using servers. Other than the above, various input and output devices may be connected to thecontroller 100 of themain unit 2. Anothergame machine 1 may be installed in the same shop or another shop. -
FIG. 36 is a block diagram of the control system provided for thesub unit 3. Thesub unit 3 also has acontroller 110 constructed as a computer unit having a microprocessor. To thecontroller 110, aROM 111 and aRAM 112 as main storages are connected. Also, to thecontroller 110, the monitor 60 (refer toFIG. 19 ) is connected as a display. Further, to thecontroller 110, various devices provided for the right and leftstations 40 are connected as input devices or devices to be controlled. For example, to thecontroller 110, the operation switch 48 (refer toFIG. 13 ) and aprize winning sensor 113 are connected as input devices. Theprize winning sensor 113 detects a medal passing through themedal pass hole 64 a in thechecker 64 and led into thechecker 64, and outputs a predetermined detection signal. To thecontroller 110, as devices to be controlled, apusher driving motor 114 for driving thepusher 68, the motor 80 (refer toFIG. 25 ) for driving theguide block 70 of themedal guiding device 63, and amedal hopper 115 for ejecting medals in thechassis 41 are also connected. AlthoughFIG. 36 shows the details of only thestation 40 on the left side, thestation 40 on the right side has the same configuration. - To the
controller 110 of thesub unit 3, as devices to be controlled, anactuator 116 for driving themedal tray 90 of themedal ejecting device 44 and thebelt conveyor 91 are connected. Ejection of medals to themedal tray 90 is realized by themedal hopper 115 here but may be realized by another medal hopper. In this case, a medal hopper other than themedal hopper 115 is connected as a device to be controlled corresponding to themedal tray 90 to thecontroller 110. - In addition, to the
controller 110 of thesub unit 3, acommunication controller 117 is also connected. Thecommunication controller 117 is provided so that thecontroller 110 performs information communications with thecontroller 100 of themain unit 2 of thesame game machine 1. Other than the above, various input and output devices may be connected to thecontroller 110 of thesubunit 3. For example, a medal load sensor for detecting loading of a medal from themedal loading device 47, a medal drop sensor for detecting drop of a medal from the lower table 65, and the like are connected to thecontroller 110 in order to control the medal payout ratio. - (Outline of Game)
- The contents of a game played by the
game machine 1 will be described with reference to FIGS. 37 to 40. Thegame machine 1 of this embodiment provides the player with a game in relation to a prize winning of a medal to thechecker 64 besides a basic game of a so-called pusher game which makes a medal loaded from themedal loading device 47 and dropped to the lower table 65 pushed down from the lower table 65 with thepusher 68.FIG. 37 shows agame screen 200 displayed on themonitor 60 of thestation 40 for such a game. Thegame screen 200 includes amain game part 201, aroulette meter 202 disposed horizontally at the bottom end of thescreen 200, and ajackpot counter 203 disposed vertically at the left end of thescreen 200. - In the
main game part 201, a game is executed. In the game, threesymbol bands 201 a to 201 c arranged in the vertical direction are allowed to run independently of each other like reels of a slot machine and to stop at a proper timing. Players compete for success or failure of obtaining a predetermined winning combination of symbols in the vertical direction or oblique direction. A game of themain game part 201 is executed by a trigger that is the prize winning of a medal to thechecker 64. The symbols and the winning combinations displayed in themain game part 201 may be properly determined. As an example, they are determined as shown inFIG. 38 . Probability change denotes here an operation of increasing the probability to succeed in obtaining a winning combination by a predetermined level. A “center game” is a game executed by using themain unit 2, “single” denotes that the right to play the center game only once is given, and “triple” denotes the right to play the center game three times in a row is given. -
FIG. 39 shows agame screen 300 displayed on themonitor 6 of themain unit 2 when the center game is executed.FIG. 40 shows agame screen 301 displayed on the monitor of a station when the center game is executed. As obvious fromFIG. 39 , in thescreen 300 of the center game, amap 302 having anouter route 303 and aninner route 304 is displayed. Theouter route 303 is constructed by linking boxes 305 each having a quadrangle shape so as to form an almost square shape. In the diagram, the boxes 305 are distinguished from each other by adding alphabets a, b, c, . . . . When the boxes 305 do not have to be distinguished from each other, the boxes are indicated by reference numeral 305. The configuration of each of theroutes map 302 is held as map information in theROM 101 of themain unit 2. - In the
route pieces 306 corresponding to thestations 40 are displayed with station numbers (any of 1 to 6). Thegame screen 301 ofFIG. 40 is an enlarged portion of thegame screen 300, in which thepiece 306 corresponding to thestation 40 in which thescreen 301 is displayed is positioned. - When the right to play the center game is given in the game in the
station 40, any of thenumbers 1 to 8 is chosen by using thelottery machine 7 for the station, and thepiece 306 moves in the predetermined direction on theroute piece 306 stops in a box, the reward written in the box is given to the player who played the center game. - For example, when the
piece 306 stops in abox 305 a in which the number such as “30” or “50” is written, the player gets medals of the number equal to the number written in the box. Theouter route 303 includes abox 305 b in which “SJP chance” is written (hereinbelow, called SJP box). When thepiece 306 stops in theSJP box 305 b, the right to challenge super jackpot is given. In this case, a lottery for determining whether the player wins the super jackpot or not is executed by using thelottery machine 7. If the player wins the super jackpot, the player gets medals of the number displayed in an SJP display part 307 (hereinbelow, called SJP number) adjacent to the outside of theSJP box 305 b. When thepiece 306 passes theSJP box 305 b, the SJP number is increased by a predetermined number. - On the other hand, the
inner route 304 includes abox 305 c described as “BB chance” (hereinbelow, called BB box). When thepiece 306 stops here, the player gets the right to challenge a big bonus. In this case, the lottery for determining whether the player wins the big bonus or not is executed by using thelottery machine 7. If the player wins the big bonus, the player gets medals of the number displayed in a BB display part 308 (hereinbelow, called BB number) disposed in the center area of theinner route 304. When thepiece 306 passes through theBB box 305 c, the BB number is increased by a predetermined number. - At the four corners of each of the
routes warp boxes 305 d written as “GO” are disposed. When thepiece 306 stops in thewarp box 305 d, thepiece 306 moves between theouter route 303 and theinner route 304. As understood by comparing numerical values indicated in theboxes 305 a between theroutes inner route 304 than theouter route 303. Although bonus boxes 305 e, 305 f, . . . are properly provided in theroutes - When
plural game machines 1 are connected to each other to construct a single game system, theinner route 304 is shared by thegame machines 1. That is, the information of the configuration of theinner route 304 stored in theROM 101 in eachgame machine 1 in the single game system is the same. Thegame machines 1 share the positions of thepieces 306 disposed on theinner route 304 and the BB numbers. The information is stored as information in theRAM 102 of eachgame machine 1. The information is properly exchanged among thegame machines 1 to maintain consistency. - In the
inner route 304, apiece 309 of anothergame machine 1 is also displayed. When thepiece 309 stops in theBB box 305 c, the right to challenge the big bonus is given to thestation 40 of thegame machine 1 corresponding to thepiece 309. When thepiece 309 passes through theBB box 305 c, the BB number is added by a predetermined number in all of thegame machines 1 in the same game system. That is, the BB number has the characteristic of so-called progressive bonus which is shared among theplural game machines 1. - By sharing part of the
map 302 among theplural game machines 1 and setting the correlation among thegame machines 1 also with respect to points of the game in the shared part, the player has to pay attention not only to the other player of thesame game machine 1 but also the players of theother game machines 1, so that enjoyment of the game increases. Since theplural game machines 1 accumulate common points, larger points can be accumulated as compared with the case of accumulating points of the game by a single game machine. Thereby, the enjoyment of the game can be also increased. - (Control Procedure)
- When a station control routine starts, first, in step S101, the
controller 110 executes the lottery about a combination of symbols to be displayed on amain play part 201 in thegame screen 200 by using random numbers and controls the display state in themain play part 201 so that the result of the lottery is displayed. Concretely, thecontrollers 110 makes thesymbol bands 201 a to 201 c run and controls the display state of each of thesymbol bands 201 a to 201 c so that the combination of symbols determined by the lottery is obtained. - After that, a combination for probability change start (except for “777”) is obtained or not is determined in step S102. If the combination is obtained, a probability change flag is set to “1” in step S103, and the process goes to step S106. On the other hand, when the combination is not obtained, the process goes to step S104 to determine whether a combination for probability change end is obtained or not. If the combination is obtained, the
controller 110 resets the probability change flag to “0”, and the process goes to step S106. The probability change flag is considered in the lottery in step S101. When the flag is set to “1”, the probability to obtain the winning combination (the combinations shown inFIG. 38 ) is increased as compared with the case where the flag is reset to “0”. - In step S106, the
medal hopper 115 is driven to eject medals of the number corresponding to the combination obtained in the lottery from themedal ejection port 61 onto the upper table 62. At this time, dramatic presentation may be performed in such a manner that players can feel as if medals fell by displaying an image of dropping medals on themonitor 6 in synchronization with ejecting medals from themedal ejection port 61. - After ejection of medals, the process goes to step S107 to add “1” to the value of a JP step stored in the
RAM 112. The value of the JP step is equal to the number of light-on of thejackpot counter 203 in thegame screen 200. Each time the value of theRAM 112 is updated, in accordance with that, the number of light-on of thejackpot counter 203 is also updated. In the following step S108, it is determined whether the JP step reaches the predetermined maximum value (7 in this case) or not. If it reaches the maximum value, it means the JP is obtained and the process goes to step S109. The upper table 62 is driven to move from the horizontal position to the action position, and again to the horizontal position to drop all medals accumulated on the upper table 62 onto themedal guiding device 63, thereby jackpot medals are ejected toward the lower table 65. At this time, medals may be ejected also from themedal ejection port 61. After that, instep 110, the JP step on theRAM 112 is reset to the initial value “0”, and the station control routine is finished. - On the other hand, when the condition in step S104 is not satisfied, the process goes to step S111 and it is determined whether the combination for single-center-game (refer to
FIG. 38 ) is obtained or not. If the combination is obtained, the process goes to step S112 to notify that the combination for single-center-game is obtained to thecontroller 100 of themain unit 2. After that, the process goes to step S106 to eject medals corresponding to the combination for single-center-game. - When the condition in step S111 is not satisfied, the process goes to step S113 to determine whether a combination for the triple-center-game is obtained or not. If the combination is obtained, the process goes to step S114 to drive the upper table 62 for moving from the horizontal position to the action position, and again to the horizontal position. In the following step S115, the fact that the combination for triple-center-game is obtained is notified to the
controller 100 of themain unit 2. After that, the process goes to step S103 to set the probability change flag to “1” ant goes to step S106 to eject medals corresponding to the combination for triple-center-game. - If the combination for triple-center-game is not obtained in step S113, the process goes to step S116 to determine whether or not roulette symbols (symbols in the second line from the bottom in
FIG. 38 ) exist in themain play part 201 after the stop ofsymbol bands 201 a to 201 c. If the symbols exist, the process goes to step S117 to add “1” to the value of the roulette meter stored in theRAM 112. The value of the roulette meter is equal to the number of light-on of theroulette meter 202 in thegame screen 200. Each time the value in theRAM 112 is updated, in accordance with that, the number of light-on of theroulette meter 202 is also updated. In the following step S118, it is determined whether the roulette meter value reaches the predetermined maximum value (25 in this case) or not. If the value reaches the maximum value, the process goes to step S119 to notify thecontroller 100 of themain unit 2 of the fact that the combination for single-center-game is obtained. After that, in step S120, the roulette meter value in theRAM 112 is reset to the initial value of “0” and the station control routine is finished. - When it is determined in step S116 that roulette symbols do not exist or when it is determined in step S118 that the meter value is not the maximum value, the
controller 110 skips the subsequent processes and finishes the station control routine. - Next, the processes of the
controller 100 of themain unit 2 will be described.FIGS. 42 and 43 show a center game control routine executed by thecontroller 100 of themain unit 2 to realize a center game. The routine is executed for thestation 40 which obtains the combination for the single-center-game or triple-center-game when the fact that the combination for the single-center-game or triple-center-game is obtained has been notified from thecontroller 110 of any one of thesub units 3. That is, the following process is executed on theonly station 40 which obtains the combination for the single-center-game or triple-center-game, as long as not specified. - When the center game control routine starts, first, in step S200, the
controller 100 determines whether the combination for single-center-game has been notified or not. When the combination has been notified, the process goes to step S201 to set the initial value of “1” to a variable N for determining the number of games. When the combination has not been notified (that is, when the combination for triple-center-game has been notified), the process goes to step S202 to set the initial value of “3” to the variable N. After the variable N is set, the process goes to step S203 to determine one of thenumerical values 1 to 8 by roulette lottery, that is, lottery using thelottery machine 7. Thecontroller 100 updates the position information of thepiece 306 stored in theRAM 102 so that the position of thepiece 306 on themap 302 is advanced by the number of boxes equal to the obtained numerical value. The information of the position of thepiece 306 is held in theRAM 102 in association with information for identifying thestation 40. The position information updated at this time relates to thepiece 306 corresponding to thestation 40 which has obtained the combination for single-center-game or triple-center-game. The display on themonitor 6 is also updated in correspondence with updating of the piece position information. - In the following step S204, it is determined whether the
piece 306 has passed theSJP box 305 b or not. If thepiece 306 has passed it, the SJP number of theSJP display 307 adjacent to theSJP box 305 b is increased by a predetermined number in step S205. After that, the process goes to step S208. On the other hand, when thepiece 306 has not passed theSJP box 305 b in step S204, the process goes to step S206 to determine whether thepiece 306 has passed through theBB box 305 c or not. When thepiece 306 has passed theBB box 305 c, the process goes to step S207 to increase the BB number by a predetermined number. Since the BB number is shared byother game machines 1 constructing the same game system, increase in the BB number is also notified to thecontrollers 100 of thegame machines 1. After such processes, the process goes to step S208. If it is determined that thepiece 306 has not passed in step S206, thecontroller 100 skips step S207 and the process goes to step S208. - In step S208, the kind of a box (stop box) corresponding to the position of the piece updated in step S203 is determined. In the subsequent step S209, the
controller 100 determines whether thepiece 306 has stopped in theSJP box 305 b or not. If thepiece 306 has stopped, the process goes to step S210 to perform roulette lottery for super jackpot. The roulette lottery in this case is performed by using, for example, one of the eight areas shown on thedrum 31 of thelottery machine 7 as a super jackpot (SJP) winning box. Obviously, the lottery may be performed by using other means. After the roulette (drum 31) stops, the processing goes to step S212 to determine whether the player has won the super jackpot or not. If the player has won, the process goes to step S216. If not won, the process goes to step S220 inFIG. 43 . In step S220, medals of the number according to the numerical value obtained by the roulette lottery in step S210 or S213 is set to the number of medals the player got. - On the other hand, when in step S209 in
FIG. 42 it is determined that thepiece 306 has not stopped in theSJP box 305 b, the process goes to step S212 to determine whether thepiece 306 has stopped in theBB box 305 c or not. If thepiece 306 has stopped, the process goes to step S213 to perform roulette lottery on a big bonus. The roulette lottery in this case is also performed by using, for example, one of the eight areas shown on thedrum 31 of thelottery machine 7 as a big bonus (BB) winning box. Obviously, the lottery may be performed by using other means. After the roulette (drum 31) stops, the process goes to step S214 to determine whether the player has won the big bonus or not. If the player has won, the process goes to step S215 to notify theother game machines 1 included in the same game system of winning of the big bonus, and goes to step S216. The processes in steps S204 to S209 and S212 can be performed immediately after the result of the roulette lottery is obtained in step S203. It is not unnecessary to wait until the display on themonitor 6 is updated in accordance with the result obtained in step S203. - In step S216, medals of the number according to SJP or BB are ejected. The medals are ejected to the
medal tray 90 of themedal ejecting device 44. Therefore, thecontroller 100 instructs thecontroller 110 of thesub unit 3 to eject medals. In response to the instruction, thecontroller 110 waits for completion of ejection of medals to themedal tray 90 and drives themedal tray 90 to the action position. After the medals drop onto thebelt conveyor 91, thecontroller 110 drives thebelt conveyor 91 toward thestation 40 which has won SJP or BB, thereby the medals ejected to themedal tray 90 are ejected onto the upper table 62 of thestation 40. - After the ejection of medals for the SJP or BB, the process goes to step S217 to reset the SJP number or BB number stored in the
RAM 102 to the initial value, and finish the center game control routine. When it is determined in step S212 that thepiece 306 has not stopped in theBB box 305 c, the process goes to step S221 inFIG. 43 . - In step S221 in
FIG. 43 , thecontroller 100 determines whether thepiece 306 has stopped in thewarp box 305 d or not. If thepiece 306 has not stopped, the process goes to step S222 to determine whether thepiece 306 has stopped in any of the other bonus boxes 305 e, 305 f, . . . or not. When thepiece 306 stops in theregular box 305 a, step S222 is determined as NO. In this case, the process goes to step S223 to set the numerical value described in thebox 305 a in which thepiece 306 stops as the obtained number. On the other hand, when the condition in step S222 is determined as YES, the process goes to step S224 to execute a process according to a prize winning assigned to the bonus box 305 e . . . . - After the obtained number is set in step S220 or S223, the process goes to step S225 to eject medals of the number according to the obtained number. Ejection of medals in this case may be also performed by using the
medal electing device 44. When the number is small, medals may be ejected from themedal ejection port 61. When thepiece 306 stops in thewarp box 305 d in step S221, the process goes to step S227 to move thepiece 306 between thewarp box 305 d in theouter route 303 and thewarp box 305 d in theinner route 304. The condition of movement from theouter route 303 to theinner route 304 and the condition of movement from theinner route 304 to theouter route 303 may be different from each other. For example, the movement from theouter route 303 to theinner route 304 may be more regulated as compared with the movement from theinner route 304 to theouter route 303. - After the processes in step S224, S225, or S227, the process goes to step S226 to notify the
other game machines 1 of the updated stop position of thepiece 306. The notification may be sent regarding only thepiece 306 positioned in theinner route 304. After the notification of the stop position, the process goes to step S228 to determine whether the variable N is 1 or not. If the variable N is not 1, the process goes to step S229 to subtract 1 from the variable N and, after that, return to step S203 inFIG. 42 . If the variable N is 1 in step S228, thecontroller 100 finishes the center game control routine. -
FIG. 44 shows a game information update control routine executed by thecontroller 100 so that the BB number and the positions of thepieces inner route 304 are shared with theother game machines 1. The process is repeatedly executed in proper cycles by thecontroller 100. In the game information update control routine, first, in step S250, thecontroller 100 determines whether addition of the BB number has been notified from anothergame machine 1 or not. If the addition has been notified, the process goes step S251 to update the BB number held in theRAM 102 to the value obtained by increasing the BB number by a predetermined number. If the addition has not been notified, thecontroller 100 skips step S251. In the following step S252, thecontroller 100 determines whether winning of the BB has been notified from anothergame machine 1 or not. If it has been notified, the process goes to step S253 to reset the BB number held in theRAM 102 to the initial value. If it has not been notified, thecontroller 100 skips step S253. - In the following step S254, the
controller 100 determines whether the stop position of thepiece 306 has been notified from anothergame machine 1 or not. If it has been notified, the process goes to step S255 to update the position information of thepiece 309 on theinner route 304 held in theRAM 102 in accordance with the notified information. If it has not been notified, thecontroller 100 skips step S255. In the following step S256, thecontroller 100 updates the BB number and the information in themap 302 in accordance with the latest information held in theRAM 102. After that, the game information updating control routine is finished. - By the proper repeat execution of the routine of
FIG. 44 , the BB number and the piece position information on theinner route 304 held in theRAM 102 of eachgame machine 1 can be maintained in the same state. - The present invention is not limited to the foregoing embodiments but may be carried out in various modes. For example, the
protrusion portion 57 may not be provided continuously through the overall length in the width direction of themedal tray 50. Two or more protrusion portions may be provided at an interval in the width direction of the medal tray. The protrusion portion is not limited to the tapered shape but may have a rectangular or semi-circular shape in cross section.
Claims (6)
1. A medal tray provided for a medal game machine as a portion where medals are ejected, comprising:
a bottom wall on which medals are accumulated; and
side and rear walls surrounding three sides of the bottom wall,
wherein the rear wall is provided with a protrusion portion for regulating accumulation of medals along the rear wall, so that the protrusion portion projects forward and is provided above the bottom wall so as to be separated from the bottom wall.
2. The medal tray according to claim 1 , wherein the side wall has a medal ejection port, and the protrusion portion is disposed between the medal ejection port and the bottom wall.
3. The medal tray according to claim 1 , wherein a curved wall is provided between the bottom wall and the protrusion portion.
4. The medal tray according to claim 1 , wherein the protrusion portion is tapered in the vertical direction from a base portion joined to the rear wall toward a tip.
5. The medal tray according to claim 1 , wherein the protrusion portion is provided in the overall length in the width direction of the rear wall.
6. A medal game machine having a medal tray according to claim 1.
