  • It is therefore a main object of the present invention to provide an umbrella attached with a mini electric fan in order to have the both functions of shielding and cooling for the person under the umbrella. [0005]
  • An umbrella, which is typically consisted of a central stick, some ribs and cover, achieves this object; therein a fan stand is secured on the central stick, and connected with a motor box in hinge joint. Said motor box holds a motor connecting with power, and a fan blade is secured on the tip of axle of the motor. [0006]
  • Said fan stand is put on the central stick in fitting connection, and secured on the lower portion of the static center-coupled loop. [0007]
  • Said fan stand is combined of two half coordinating left-right pieces interlocked together by securing with bolts so that the retainer ring-groove on the upper portions of the left and right pieces holds the flange on the lower portion of the static center-coupled loop in, thereby to fasten the fan stand on the static center-coupled loop; wherein, the right piece has a battery box formed on the backside, and a through-hole drilled on it for leading cords out; the left piece has a lug formed on the backside for hinging a motor box on. [0008]
  • The motor box is combined of upper and low cases covered together, and holds a motor in, and has a through-hole leading the axle of motor out; wherein the low case has a lug with a wire hole, thereby to pivot on the lug of the fan stand with a pivot pin so that the motor box pivots on the fan stand. [0009]
  • The fan stand has a blind hole approaching the root of the lug for putting a spring and a steel-ball sequentially in, and the lug of the motor box has more than one half-ball recesses on the outside rim, so that by means of the pressure of the spring the steel-ball latches into one of the recesses. [0010]
  • Between the two adjacent recesses of the lug of the motor box, there is a guide groove formed for guiding the steel-ball to slide from one recess to the next. [0011]
  • The cord connects the battery with one end; another end is wired through the wire-holes of the fan stand and the motor box to the motor. [0012]
  • A fan-blade holder is fastened on the axle of motor, therein it is consisted of upper and low rests interlocked together; the upper rest has a central hole for securing on the axle of motor; said fan blade is located on the fan-blade holder by locking the upper and low rests together in latching connection, and the fan blade is made of soft material in order to be facility for closing the umbrella and reducing the occupied space of the fan. [0013]
  • There is a step hole formed at inside of the contacting hole with the central stick of the fan stand for locating a releasing spring at inside so that the upper end of the spring presses against the bottom edge of the static center-coupled loop, and low end against on the shoulder of the step hole, in order to open the umbrella to suit for automatic umbrella. • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • Referring to FIG. 1 to FIG. 4, the present invention includes a [0026] central stick 1, several ribs (removed from the drawings), and cover (removed from the drawings). Wherein a fan stand 2 is secured on the central stick 1, and connected with a motor box 3 in hinge joint. Said motor box 3 holds a motor 4 connecting with power, and a fan blade 5 is secured on the tip of axle 41 of the motor 4.
  • A static center-coupled [0027] loop 11 on the tip of the central stick 1 has ring flange 12 at the low portion.
  • Said [0028] fan stand 2 is combined of two half coordinating left-right pieces 21 22 interlocked together by securing with bolts 6 so that the retainer ring-groove 211 221 on the upper portions of the left and right pieces 21 22 holds the ring flange 12 of the static center-coupled loop 11 in exactly, thereby to fasten the fan stand 2 on the static center-coupled loop 11. The right piece 22 has a battery box 23 formed on the backside for mounting battery cells (un-shown out in drawings) with a removable cap 231 conveniently, and there are a wire-hole 232 and several installation holes 233 formed at inside of the battery box 23 (as shown in FIG. 4). The left piece 21 has a wire-hole 212 and proper number of threaded holes 213. By through the mounting holes 233 and the threaded holes 213, the bolts 6 secure the tight piece 22 on the right piece 21 tight to attach on the central stick 1, meanwhile the wire-hole 232 opposes the wire-hole 212 rightly for cord passing though; the left piece 21 extends out a lug 24, approaching the root of it there is a deeper blind hole 25, on the other hand, the lug 24 is used for hinge a motor box 3 on.
  • The [0029] motor box 3 is combined of upper and low cases 31 32 intercovered together holding a motor in it has a through-hole 33. Wherein the low case 32 has a lug 35 with a wire hole 34 (referring to FIG. 4), thereby to pivot on the lug 24 of the fan stand 2 with a pivot pin 36 so that the motor box 3 pivots on the fan stand 2; on the outside wall of the lug 35 there are two half-ball recesses 37 formed keeping a space, and a small guide groove 38 connecting the both recesses 37.
  • Referring to FIG. 4, a [0030] spring 7 and a steel-ball 8 are placed into the blind hole 25 sequentially, by means of the press force of the spring 7 the steel-ball 8 latches into one of the recesses 37 working as locating the motor box 3 on the fan stand 2 keeping in parallel state, as combining them together, as shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3. When turning the motor box 3 around the pivot pin 36 with a force, the outside wall of the lug 35 will press the steel-ball 8 to inside of the blind hole 25, and sliding along the guide groove 38 until get into the next recess 37 to locate the motor box 3 in a new position—keeping a proper angle with the fan stand 2, as shown in FIG. 5.
  • A [0031] motor 4 is mounted into the motor box 3, and its axle 41 extends out from the through-hole 33.
  • The [0032] cord 9 connects with the battery cells with one end, another end is wired through the wire-hole 232 of the right piece 23 and the wire-hole 212 of the left piece 21, and the wire-hole 34 of the motor box 3 to get the motor 4.
  • A fan-[0033] blade holder 51 is fastened on the axle 41 of motor 4, therein it is consisted of upper and low rests interlocked together; by the interlocked both rests, the fan blade 5 is located in; the upper rest has a central hole 52 for securing on the axle 41 of motor 4. The fan blade is made of soft material for bearing down the deformation as closing the umbrella, further in order to be facility for closing the umbrella and reducing the occupied space of the fan.
  • It has to be stressed that the [0034] fan stand 2 can be fastened on the central stick 1 directly, or attached on the center-coupled loop 11 to integrate into a whole body to locate on the central stick 1; as shown in FIG. 6 and FIG. 7, fasten the left and right pieces 21 22 of the battery box on the bottom portion of the center-coupled loop 11 by securing the bolts 6; just only open a wire-hole 232 on the side wall of the battery box 23 so that the cord can get the motor 4 via the wire- holes 232 and 34 directly without drilling a wire-hole on the left piece 21.
  • So, in the hot summer day, by the present invention, the user not only enjoys the shielding shadow of the umbrella, but also feels the cool wind blown by the fan located in a proper angle by the steel-[0035] ball 8 as turning on the fan.
  • On the other hand, referring to FIG. 8, basing on the first operation of the present invention, there is a [0036] step shoulder 26 formed at inside of the contacting hole with the central stick 1 of the right piece 22 of the fan stand 2 for locating a releasing spring 27 at inside so that the upper end of the spring 27 presses against the bottom edge of the static center-coupled loop 11, and low end against on the shoulder of the step shoulder 26, in order to suit for automatic umbrella.
  • Additionally, as shown in FIG. 9 and FIG. 10, basing on the second operation of the present invention, there is a [0037] step hole 13 formed at inside of the contacting hole with the central stick 1 of the fan stand 2 for locating a releasing spring 27 at inside so that the upper end of the spring 27 presses against the bottom edge of the static center-coupled loop 11, and low end against on the shoulder of the step hole 13, in order to suit for automatic umbrella.
