My invention relates to a new and improved slipper. l

One of the objects of my invention is to provide a slipper of the turn-type having a heelless outer sole provided with an inner heell or heel-lift made of felt or otherv materia Another object of my invention is to provide a slipper of this type which shall be comm fortable and which shall have a neat appearance.

Other objects of my invention will lbe set forth in the following description and drawings which illustrates a preferred embodiment thereof, it being understood that the above general statement of the objects of my invention is intended merely to generally explain the same and not to limit itin any manner.

Theviiat outer sole 2 is made of suitable flexible material, such as leather. As shown i in Figs. 3 and 4, it is provided with a continuous eripheral recess 8 of angular shape. It is a so providedl with a continuous inclined channel 9. The upper 1 of the slipper is made of suitable material, the edges of which are bent under, so that said edges can fit in the front part of the angular recess 8. The inner sole comprises a plurality of layers 7 made of cardboard or other suitable material, and

havingf a covering 3 made of suitable fabric.

l This covering 3 has its bottom edges bent inwardly, and these bottom edges are glued into position. vThe rear of the slipper has an inclined inner heel or heel-lift 6 made of a block of felt or other suitable material. The front edge of the inner heel is chamfered. The in- -ner heel 6 is provided with a cover 4. The

edges of the cover 4 fit in the recess 8, said edges being inwardly and upwardly turned, as shown in Fig. 2. Stitches 10 hold the heel covering 4 in position. The inclined slot 9 renders it'possible for a curved needle to be used in forming the stitches 10. Said stitches are located in the bottom of channel 9. The upper and inwardly turned edges of the heel covering 4 (which is made of any suitable fabric) may be glued to the inner heel 6 and to the adjacent inwardly turned edges of the in-` ner sole covering 3.

It is obvious that the device has a neat appearance, and that the inner heel 6 is firmly held in position so that it cannot shift.

I have shown a preferred embodiment of my invention, but it is clear that numerous changes and omissions can be made without departing from the spirit of my invention.

Iclaim:

1. A slipper having an outer sole lacking an outer heel, said outer sole having an inner heel connected thereto at the rear thereof, said slipperalso having an inner sole extend? ing above said inner heel, said inner sole having a coverin whose bottom edges are inwardly turne the inner heel having a covering which is sewed to the outer sole, and which is provided at the top thereof withinwardly bent edges, the inwardly bent adjacent edges of therespective coverings bein connected to each other by means of an a hesive.

2. A slipper having an outer sole lacking an outer heel, said outer sole having a peripheral channel at the rear thereof, said outer sole also having an inclined channel substantially parallel to said peripheral channel, an inner heel located at the rear of the said outer sole, said inner heel having a fabric covering, the bottom edges of which are inwardly and upwardly turned, said bottom edges of the heel covering being located in said peripheral channel., the upwardly turned portion;

of the bottom edges of said heel covering being connected lto snid outer sole b means of stitches passing through said inc ined channel, the upier edges of the heel covering being inward y turned, said slipper also having 5 an inner sole extending above said inner heel, said inner sole having a covering whose edges are inwardly turned, the adjacent edges of the said coverings being connected to each other by means of an adhesive.
