GEORGE w. MooK,,or ROARING SPRINGS, PENNSYLVANIA,
INSIDE TROUSER SEAT AND PAD.
Application filed July 9,
This invention relates to wearing apparel and has for its primary object a double trouser seat that is readily attached to buttons or similar fastening means positioned on the inside face of the trouser aist band A further object oi this device is to provide means whereby the body is maintained at a comfortable temperaturewhen the wearer is in a sitting posture on any cold object such as stone, iron, damp wood, logs, etc.
A still further object of this device is to provide means for securing to the inside of the trousers a trouser seat to which may be at tached another similar trouser seat thus augmenting the thickness of the material inthe trousers seat from one to three thicknesses, depending upon the occupation and desires of the wearer.
Another object of this invention is to provide means for keeping the trunk of the body warm, thus eliminating danger from lumbago, and similar ailments that manifest themselves in'the muscles of the loins.
With this and other objects in view which will be more readily apparent as the nature of the invention is better understood, the same consists in the novel arrangement and suspension means as will be hereinafter fully pointed out, illustrated and claimed.
It will be quite readilyunderstood by those skilled in the art to which this invention belon that the same is susceptible to some changes and modifications without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention, but a preferred and practical application of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawings in which r Fig. 1 is an elevational view of the'present invention showing the same made up to form a double seat adapted to be placed inside the trouser seat.
Fig.2 is a side elevation 01": the parts shown in Fig. 1 of the drawings, showing the form which the double seat takes when applied to the trouser seat.
Fig. 3 shows the double trouser seat applied to a pair of trousers, a portion of the same being cut away to show more clearly the mannor in which the trouser seat is adapted tofit v the wearer.
Fig. 4 is a side elevatlon oi the trouser seat 1327. Serial No. 204,621.
as it appears when fitted to the trousers of the wearer, the trousers being cut away to more clearly show the application'te'ature.
Similar reference numerals refer to similar double trouser seat, designated by the numeral 10, which consists, primarily of two thickncsses of cloth, preferably made of wool, one
of which is adapted to be slightly larger than the other, the larger of the two, designated by the nun'leral 11, is provided with means at thetop edge 12, :taee'of the trousers waist band 13, through the medium of buttons or similar fastening means. I
The pad or extra trouser seat 10 is adapted to be secured to the pad 11, through the medium of buttons 14 or similar fastening means. p
The seat or pad 11 is provided with an insert section 15 which is adapted to snugly fit down over the end of the spinal column, thus preventing in a very ad equate way any chill of the body through the medium of the spinal column.
Referring to Fig. 2, it will be observed that these double trouser seats not only cover the buttocks and spinal column, but are adapted to well cover the hips, and toreach down on the legs such as to prevent a ridge in the trousers on which it would be uncomfortable to sit. y
Having thus described my invention, what for attachment to the inside 7 I claim and desire to be secured by Letters 7 Patent is- In combination with a pair of trousers, a waist band attached to and made a partof the trousers, a double trousers-seat, buttons secured to the inside face ofthe waist band for attaching the trousers seat thereto, and an insert tab interposed between the adjacent lower medial edges of said trousers seat for positioning the trousers seat into the crotch of the trousers and over the top portion of the legs of the trousers. v
In testimony whereof I al'fix my signature.
' GEORGE WV. MOCK.
