To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that l, HENRY J. HAUsnn, a citizen of the United States, residing at Rochester, in the county of Monroe and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful lmprovements in Folding Doll-Cradles, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to cradles, and especially to toy cradles suitable for dolls, although it is capable of being made in larger for infants.
The object of the invention is to provide an improred folding cradle which can be cheaply constructed, and which. can be set up for use in a mann r to be hereinafter describcc. The device also includes pillow ,ipport which will be found useful nnection with the article.
e invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings in which liigure is a top plan of the cradle. A 2 is a side eleration ther Fig. is an one elevation. l is an View of cradle folded.
i is a plan of the cradle folded.

D is a bent wire pillow frame, the ends of which are pivoted at O to the head frames,- and the cross bar of which will stop against a pair of stops l1 fixed to the bottom board, when the cradle is set up, the frame D extending at an inclination. This frame will be covered by a cloth indicated in dotted lines at N, to form a pillow. structed may be covered by side cloths indicated in dotted lines at L, and by end cloths indicated in dotted lines at lllhthe former being hung on the cords Q and the latter being attached to the end frames by cords in the holes B. These coverings may or may not'be used, but will preferably be used to provide an inolosure and give a neat appearance.
To fold the cradle the pillow frames D are lifted or disengaged from the stops F and the end frames are snapped down inwardly, folding against the bottom A. The hinge G is thenbrolreii upwardly or inwardly and the bottom boards A will fold together against each other as shown in Fig.
4-. The frame may be set up by unfolding the bottom, and opening out the end frames until the cranks I are engaged by the catches E and the pillow frames are engaged against the stops VF. i
The device can be quickly folded or unfolded by a child and can be easily carried can be made of wooden boards or can be made of any other suitable material such as metal or fiber.
I claim:
1. A folding cradle comprising a bottom, a head and rocker frame at each end thereof, a cranked rod extending between opposite sides of each frame and pivotally connected to the bottom, and a spring catch fixed to the bottom and engaging the crank of each rod to hold the frame at adjustment.
2. A folding; cradle comprising; bottom sections hinged together at the middle, an end head and rocker frame pivoted to the outer end of each section, and a catch between each section and one of the frames, to hold the latter in adjusted position, and fleXible side members connecting the end frames above the bottom sections.
In testimony whereof, I aliix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
HENRY J. HAUSER. lVitnesses:
