In a truck'of the character described, a platform, an axle extending transversely of the platform and carrying supporting wheels, V-shaped hangers having the lower ends" of their legs attached to the platform, the axle passing through the apices of the hangers, sheet metal clamping members mounted upon the downward and forwardly extending legs, each comprising a base portion' having ateach end a pair of integral confronting jaws and having at its middle a lateralextension, formed at its ends with integral confronting jaws adapted to embrace theraxle, bolts whereby the-jaws may be forcedinto clamping engagement, and a U-shaped handle having its ends inserted through the first named jaws.
