Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betreiben eines Verbrennungsmotors eines Fahrzeugs, sowie ein Steuergerät zur Durchführung des Verfahrens. Das Verfahren bzw. Steuergerät kann besonders sinnvoll eingesetzt werden bei Fahrzeugen im Vertellerverkehr, die überwiegend im Stop-and-Go-Betrieb genutzt werden. Erfindungsgemäß wurde erkannt, dass durch das Erkennen einer Stop-and-Go-Situation und eine dabei vorgenommene Beschränkung der maximalen Motordrehzahl eine erheblichen Verbrauchsreduktion und Verschleißminderung erreicht werden kann. In Tests wurde ein um mindestens 20 % reduzierter Treibstoffverbrauch ermittelt.
