Description

The invention relates to a shower with a first part, which is to be connected to a water pipe and having a water supply channel, with a second part having at least a first and a second outlet opening, which are selectively connected via a valve with the water supply channel of the first part wherein the valve is convertible by a movement of the second part relative to the first part.

Convertible showers have long been known, in particular, as bath breezes and dishwashing spray. In these can be switched with an actuator, for example, between two spray modes. The actuating element is, for example, a lever which can be actuated by hand and which is connected to a displaceable valve body. Depending on the position of the valve body, the water is conducted in the water supply channel to one or the other outlet openings.

A shower of the type mentioned is from the DE 102 19 943 known. In the embodiment shown in Figure 3 of this document, the first part forms a fastening part, which is to be connected to a shower hose and which is slidably mounted on a shower bar. The second part forms a functional part, which is rotatable about 180 ° about a longitudinal axis of the first part for switching the valve. The valve is formed by end surfaces of the first part and the second part, which run perpendicular to the axis of rotation about which the second part is rotatable for switching the valve.

Another shower is through the DE 198 03 554 A known. To operate the valve, this shower has a two-armed lever, which is arranged below a membrane. The lever is connected to a closure body which is adjustable by pivoting said lever between two positions. This shower consists of comparatively many individual parts.

The invention has for its object to provide a further shower of the type mentioned.

The object is achieved in a generic shower according to claim 1.

In the shower according to the invention, the valve is located within the second part. This allows a compact construction and a production with few individual parts.

A particularly compact design and a simple changeover of the valve results when, according to a development, the said two parts are pivotally connected to each other. The valve can be changed in this case by pivoting the second part.

According to a development of the invention, it is provided that the first part for pivoting the second part forms a pivot axis and at a distance therefrom has at least one outlet opening and that the second part also has at least two inlet openings at a distance from this pivot axis. The outlet opening is thus connected by pivoting the one part selectively with one or the other inlet opening.

According to a development of the invention, it is provided that the first part has at least two outlet openings, which are connected to the water guide channel and that the second part has at least four inlet openings, wherein two outlet openings with two inlet openings are connectable. This makes it possible to make the averages of these openings and thus the height of the valve smaller.

Instead of a single outlet opening thus several outlet openings are provided, to which the water flowing through is distributed.

According to a development of the invention, it is provided that the valve has a valve part with at least one outlet opening and that the second part has a valve part with a gate with at least one inlet opening and that the two valve parts are mutually displaceable or pivotable. Such a backdrop allows a suitable guidance of the movable second part on the first part.

According to a development of the invention it is provided that the second part has an opening into which engages a front end of the first part. The valve can be very easily integrated into the second part. Since the valve is in the second part, the first part can be made slimmer than before.

A particularly simple and reliable construction results when, according to an embodiment of the invention, the valve is disposed within an opening of the second part. Preferably, this opening is formed so that it allows pivoting of the second part relative to the first part.

A particularly simple and reliable switching of the valve is possible if the second part is pivoted to change the valve about an axis which is substantially perpendicular to the flow direction of the water in the water supply channel of the first part. This allows in particular a changeover with a pivoting of the second part by a comparatively small angle, the present invention is smaller than 90 ° and in particular smaller than 45 °.

The second part may in principle also have more than two outlet openings, but preferably only two outlet openings are provided.

A particularly simple changeover is possible if the second part forms a shower head and the valve can be switched by a movement of the shower head and in particular by a tilting movement.

The shower 1 shown in Figure 1 is a shower head and has a first part T 1 and a second part T2. The first part T1 has in a tubular housing 4, a water supply pipe 3, which forms a water supply channel 2. The water guide tube 3 has at one end a thread 5, on which a not shown here. Water line, for example, a flexible hose is to be connected. With the arrow 25, the flow direction of the water is indicated. Via a valve V, which is a diverter valve, the water is supplied to the second part T2. This second part T2 has on a lower side of a shell 21 a plurality of second outlet openings A2, which are nozzle-shaped and with which a spray jet can be formed. The second part T2 thus forms a shower head.

The second part T2 has an upper part 15 and a lower part 16, between which there is a space 14 which is connected to the second outlet openings A2. In this space 14, a rubber-elastic insert 17 is molded onto the lower part 16 by which the outlet openings A2 are formed. The upper part 15 forms a shell 21, with an overflow edge 22. The shell 21 forms an open-topped space 26 into which a first outlet opening A1 opens. On the upper part 15, a hood-shaped lid 18 is placed from above, which is releasably locked to the upper part 15. A molded on the upper part 15 cylindrical collar 32 rests on the inside of the lid 18 and is surrounded according to Figure 4 at a radial distance from an integrally formed on the lid 18 and downwardly projecting skirt 33. On the lid 18, a support member 20 is formed on the underside, which rests on an axis 24 which is integrally formed on the upper side of the water guide tube 3. As FIG. 1 shows, the second part T2 has on its underside an opening 27 into which the first part T1 engages with a front end from below. The opening 27 is dimensioned so that the second part T2 is limited pivotable about the axis 24. The angle by which the second part T2 is pivotable is preferably less than 90 °, preferably less than 45 °. In Figure 1, the second part T2 is shown in the upper pivot position. With the arrow 28, the pivoting movement is indicated, with which the second part T2 about the axis 24 down and the position shown in Figure 4 can be pivoted. In such a pivoting movement, the overflow edge 22 is moved downward. In such a pivoting movement moves according to a rear edge 29 according to arrow 30 upwards. This pivoting movement is limited.

The valve V is formed by a region B1 of the part T1 and a region B2 of the part T2. Both areas B1 and B2 are located within the second part T2. The region B1 is approximately oval in cross-section according to FIG. 1 and is integrally formed on the upper end of the water guide tube 3. He has laterally two outlet openings 7, which are also visible in Figures 2 and 3. These outlet openings 7 are, for example, circular openings which lead laterally out of a space 6 (FIG. 2). The flow direction through the outlet openings 7 thus extends substantially perpendicular to the flow direction of the water guide channel 2. The one of these outlet openings 7 is formed by a wall 12 which is placed in the manner of a lid in an opening 13 of a wall 11. If the second part T2 is in the upper pivoting position according to FIG. 1, the outlet openings 7 are each in communication with an inlet opening 8, as shown in FIG. These Inlet openings 8 are formed by two mutually parallel scenes 19, as Figure 2 shows. The inlet openings 8 lead into the already mentioned space 14, which is connected to the second outlet openings A2. Sealant 10 serve to seal the scenes 19 with respect to the area B1. These preferably rubber-elastic sealing means 10 are inserted into recesses 19 of the scenes. They are designed so that the region B1 along the inside of the scenes 19 is displaceable.

If the second part T2 is in the upper pivoting position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 and flows through the water guiding channel 2 in the direction of the arrow 25, water enters the space 6 of the region B1 and from there through the openings 7 and 8 in the room 14 and finally as a spray shower through the second outlet opening A2 down.

Dieser Raum 31 führt nach unten in die Schale 21 bzw. in den oben offenen Raum 26.The scenes 19 form according to Figure 2 second inlet openings 9, which are arranged above the inlet openings 8 and which are closed in the position of the first part T1 according to Figures 1 and 2 by the region B 1. If now the second part T2 is pivoted about the axis 24 as mentioned above, the second inlet openings 9 move downwards into the position shown in Figures 3 and 4. The area B1 moves along the scenes 19 in a space 23, which is formed by the scenes 19 and the lid 18. In this position, the second inlet openings 9 are connected to the outlet openings 7 and the first inlet openings 8 are closed by the area B1. These second inlet openings 9 are connected to a space 31, which is formed by the lid 18 and the upper part 15. This space 31 leads down into the shell 21 or into the space 26 open at the top.

If the second part T2 is in the second pivoting position shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 and water flows through the water-guiding duct 2, it passes again into the space 6 which is formed by the region B1 of the first part T1. Again, the water flows laterally through the outlet openings 7, but now through the second inlet openings 9 to the outside in the space 31. From this flows the water through the first outlet opening A1 in the space 26. Since the overflow edge 22 with respect to the horizontal plane downwards and the edge 29 are offset upwards, the water flows from the space 26 via the overflow edge 22 in a torrent down. If the second part T2 is pivoted counterclockwise back into the position shown in Figure 1, the second inlet openings 9 are again closed by the wall 11 and 12 and the outlet openings 7 connected to the inlet openings 8. The water then flows out through the second outlet openings A2 and no longer through the first outlet openings A1 to the outside. The valve V is thus formed by the two parts T1 and T2 and the areas B1 and B2. The switching of the valve V is effected by a relative movement between the parts T1 and T2. Here, preferably, the first part T1 is fixed, for example, firmly connected to a building wall. The relative movement is in the embodiment shown a pivoting movement about the axis 24, which is arranged at a distance from the outlet opening 7. Also conceivable is an embodiment with a linear or other movement and in particular a tilting movement. In a linear movement, the axis 24 is replaced by linear guide elements. For example, horizontal or vertical sliding movements are conceivable here. Actuators such as buttons or the like are not required here, since the second part T2 can be taken and swiveled directly by hand.

The assembly of the inventive showerhead 1 and its manufacture is very simple, since these two parts T1 and T2 can be made of very few robust and produced by injection molding parts. The valve V can be manufactured with comparatively small volumes. It is particularly advantageous here that the water flowing into the space 6 is distributed to two outlet openings 7 and two inlet openings 8 and 9, respectively. The cross sections of these openings can therefore be chosen comparatively small.
