Abstract
Procédé de commande n-plexée d'un afficheur à cristaux liquides multi-segments, dans lequel chaque groupe (A1, A2) de n segments (A11, A12, A13, A21, A22, A23) est connecté à n pistes communes (BP1, BP2, BP3), et à une électrode de commande (S1, S2, S3, S4) dédiée audit groupe (A1, A2), de manière à appliquer sur chaque segment une tension alternative fonction des signaux présents sur les pistes communes et les électrodes de commande, caractérisé en ce que les signaux appliqués sur chaque piste commune (BP1, BP2, BP3) sont binaires, et adoptent deux valeurs distinctes pendant des intervalles de temps de deux durées prédéterminées. A method of n-plexed control of a multi-segment liquid crystal display, wherein each group (A 1 , A 2 ) of n segments (A 11 , A 12 , A 13 , A 21 , A 22 , A 23 ) is connected to n common tracks (BP 1 , BP 2 , BP 3 ), and to a control electrode (S 1 , S 2 , S 3 , S 4 ) dedicated to said group (A 1 , A 2 ), so as to applying to each segment an alternating voltage according to the signals present on the common tracks and the control electrodes, characterized in that the signals applied to each common track (BP 1 , BP 2 , BP 3 ) are binary, and adopt two distinct values during time intervals of two predetermined durations.
