Claims (10)

  1. Hospital or care bed, with an under frame (1) and a reclining surface (2) which is connected thereto and can be adjusted in height by means of an electric motor (10) acting directly and/or indirectly thereon via a first pivot fitting (4) and a second pivot fitting (3), wherein said reclining surface can be lowered towards the head or foot end (16, 17), characterized in that the motor (10) is connected to the first pivot fitting (4) in a manner such that it can be interrupted mechanically in its operative connection by means of a disengaging device (11), an actuating rod acting on the disengaging device (11), the other end of which actuating rod is fastened to the second pivot fitting (3), and in that the two pivot fittings (3, 4) are connected to each other by a telescopic coupling element which can be locked in every telescopic position.
  2. Hospital or care bed according to Claim 1,

  7. Hospital or care bed according to one of Claims 3 to 6, characterized in that the lifting tube (19) of the motor (10) is connected to the connecting plate (9) or to parts fastened thereto while the motor (10) is connected fixedly at the other end to the under frame (1).
  8. Hospital or care bed according to Claim 2,
    characterized in that the gas-filled tension spring (12) can be released via an actuating lever arranged in the region of the reclining surface (2).
  9. Hospital or care bed according to Claim 8,
    characterized in that a Bowden cable is connected to the actuating lever and the gas-filled tension spring (12) for the release thereof.
