Durch die vorgesehene Führung des Transportsystems 4 ist es, insbesondere
im Bereich der Prüfeinrichtung 6, sehr gut zugänglich. Im weiteren Verlauf
werden die Banknoten durch eine Prüfeinrichtung 6 transportiert, in der
wählbare Kriterien der Banknote überprüfbar sind. Abhängig von dieser
Prüfung werden die Banknoten im weiteren Verlauf entweder über einen
sogenannten Spiralfachstapler 9 der Ablage 10 oder aber über die Längs-/Querfördereinrichtung
7 den Ablagefächern 12 bis 15 zugeführt. In der
Ablage 10, welche in unmittelbarer Nähe des Eingabefachs angeordnet ist,
werden nicht identifizierbare bzw. falschgeldverdächtige Banknoten abgelegt,
die einer Nachprüfung durch den Bediener unterzogen werden müssen.
Auch die Ablagefächer 12 bis 15 sind in unmittelbarer Nähe des Eingabefachs
und damit im Griffbereich des Bedieners angeordnet. Sowohl im Eingabefach
wie auch in den Ablagefächern und auch in der Ablage 10 für nicht
identifizierbare und/oder falschgeldverdächtige Noten sind die Banknoten
jeweils mit ihren Längsseiten dem Bediener zugewandt abgelegt und lassen

Steuereinrichtung zugeführt. Diese Steuereinrichtung entscheidet, in

Weichen ausgeschleust und über ebenfalls nicht dargestellte Stapler abgelegt.
Diese Stapler unterscheiden sich vom oben beschriebenen Stapler 9 lediglich
dadurch, daß die Banknoten in Richtung der kurzen Seite zugeführt
werden, wodurch die Stapler einen deutlich geringeren Durchmesser aufweisen
können. Dadurch wird eine besonders kompakte Aneinanderreihung
der Ausgabefächer 12 bis 15 ermöglicht. Aufgrund der geneigten Frontplatte
sind diese Ausgabefächer treppenartig gestuft angeordnet und dadurch besonders

die Ablage in einem anderen Ablagefach erfolgen, so wird die Banknote ohne
Querabzug weiterbefördert und über den Ausgang 17 des Ausgabemoduls
25 an den Eingang 16' des folgenden Moduls 25' übergeben. Im Ausgabemodul
25' kann dann entweder ein Querabzug zur Ablage in einem der
Ablagefächer 12' bis 15' erfolgen oder die Banknote kann über den Ausgang

mit einer großen Anzahl von Ablagefächern durch einen hohen Bedienungskomfort

- An apparatus according to any of the above claims, characterized in that the transport system (4) extends along a substantially U-shaped path starting from the input pocket (2) via the test device (6) toward the longitudinal/cross conveying device (7).
- An apparatus according to claim 5, characterized in that the U-shaped path extends in the area of the outer limits of the apparatus.
- An apparatus according to any of the above claims, characterized in that the input pocket (2), the singling device (19), the transport system (4), the test device (6) and the deposit (10) for unidentifiable and/or suspected counterfeit data carriers are parts of a basic module (20).
- An apparatus according to any of the above claims, characterized in that the longitudinal/cross conveying device (7) and the output pockets (12-15) are components of a modularly constructed output unit (25).
- An apparatus according to claim 6, characterized in that the output module (25) is equipped with a standardized input and output (16, 17) for longitudinally transported data carriers (3).
- An apparatus according to claim 9, characterized in that the longitudinal/cross conveying device (7) transfers the data carriers out of the transport system in accordance with testing.
- An apparatus according to any of the above claims, characterized in that the output pockets (12-15) are provided one above the other.
- An apparatus according to any of the above claims, characterized in that one or more output pockets (12-15) are disposed below the longitudinal/cross conveying device (7) in the transport direction for receiving the data carriers (3) transported in the direction of the short side.
- An apparatus according to claim 11 or 12, characterized in that the output pockets (12-15) are disposed in the manner of stairs.
- An apparatus according to any of the above claims, characterized in that the front side (1) is inclined to the horizontal at an angle of about 70°.
