Abstract

The invention relates to a device for protecting body parts or objects from mechanical shocks or impacts. In order to improve the protective effect while at the same time maintaining a certain degree of wearing comfort in the case of use for body protection and as economically possible as possible, it is provided that the device comprises at least two layers of shock-absorbing materials and the layers (2, 3) consist of different shock-absorbing materials, at least a layer (2) made of the material with a higher shock-absorbing effect is arranged in the direction of the acting force (F) and at least one layer (3) made of the material with a lower shock-absorbing effect is arranged in the direction of the body or object (1) to be protected. Likewise, according to another embodiment variant of the invention, the shock-absorbing material can be in the form of granules (5), small-sized material or the like, preferably made of nitrile PVC foams, which is surrounded by a covering (6), which is preferably made of air-permeable material is built up or provided with perforations (9) or the like.
