Definitions
- the invention relates to a seat, back or couch upholstery and generally has an improvement in ventilation of such upholstery.
- Mat-like pads are also known (US-A-5 004 294; EP 0 689 786 A1), which has a large number of valves included, which is driven by the load of a seated person become. Then conditioned air is against the The seat and back area of the seated person through the valves blown out. With these seat cushions, the valve lift is compared to the compression of the padding small, so that the seat covers practically do not contribute to the upholstery effect. The blown air-conditioned air can become one cause unwanted hypothermia in the areas of the body mentioned. The problem of air evacuation with body exhalation Enriched air is not considered.
- a seat known from DE-A 24 58 494 according to the The preamble of claim 1 is the padding of one under load bending fabric layer with a layer attached below formed from rubber elements that lie against each other in the unloaded state of the fabric layer and in a loaded condition with a bent fabric layer in Desirably diverge to provide ventilation through the seat.
- the invention has for its object a device for effective and pleasant ventilation of seats, backrests or to create lying areas that provide draft-free ventilation essentially on the areas touched by the body the seating or lying areas with low manufacturing and limited operating costs.
- the device should also for retrofitting existing seating and reclining furniture be suitable.
- valve means which only under pressure or pressure Release passage cross-section.
- the flow cross sections of the valve means and the Drainage channels can be designed so that a very small pressure difference in the order of 50 to 200 Pa and a correspondingly low expenditure of energy into one sufficient air flow is sufficient.
- Retrofittable upholstery according to the invention can be made from a gas-permeable, thin cover layer with a high heat transfer coefficient as a contact surface with the seated person and a sufficiently thick drainage layer underneath exist with low flow resistance, e.g. B. in Shape of an open-cell foam or a coarse fiber layer. This drainage layer can on the seated opposite side with a largely diffusion-tight Slide be completed.
- the adaptation the drainage air flow rate to the physical conditions (Dimensions, weight) of the person sitting with With the help of a rotary valve, which is brought into a cylindrical Collector is installed.
- the valve means can, as known from US-A-5 004 294, a variety of valves, e.g. B. have poppet valves. These valves are based on the weight of the seated or lying person against resilient spring elements opened, which, according to the invention, significantly determines the cushion effect affect the upholstery. This is how the drainage air becomes when printing the air-conditioned seat or the lying surface small-scale pressed through the breathable cover layer and deducted accordingly in suction mode. On the the person facing away from the seated or lying person Valve sealing surfaces is arranged over a channel system which the drainage air can be supplied or removed.
- Such valve systems configured like a checkerboard a particularly energy-saving solution because the cross-section of the drainage channels exclusively in the area of the by a person sitting or lying down is released for the drainage air, while at one System with channels connected in parallel by actuation a valve in the seat or lying surface one of the Channels over the entire length of the channel, e.g. B. also about that breathable backrest upholstery, the drainage air is promoted without leaning the seated person ought to.
- the drainage air distribution thus to people of different widths adjusted that a on the seat, backrest or lying surface Top template is placed, with drainage openings in an arrangement adapted to your personal body size is provided.
- foam elements of the upholstery themselves serve as valves and form a multigonal mosaic, preferably in Shape of a hexagonal grid.
- These foam elements can have air-impermeable intermediate layers, which contracts when the element is subjected to pressure and thereby voids for the passage of air releases, so that the drainage air channels over the open-pore Sections of the foam elements as well as said Cavities with the drainage channels of the upholstery or Cavities in a seat shell and this with the pressure or.
- Suction process collector can be fluidly connected.
- Fig. 1 shows a desk armchair, the is equipped with a ventilation system.
- the Contact surfaces 3 and 4 with the seated person are with a breathable fabric layer 1 covered, one sufficient high flow resistance against air suction having.
- Under this fabric layer 1 is an upper cushion 2 built of porous material, which is a higher Has rigidity so that it is under the weight of the seated Person is not compressed too much.
- the flow resistance this upholstery z. B. with longitudinal ribs running towards the spine of the seated person is, according to the invention, by the weight of the seated Person humiliated.
- the open-pore upper cushion 2 contains Drainage channels 15, which according to FIG Neck pad 6 housed collector 5 connected are.
- a drainage air line 7 leads to Suction side of the blower 8, the motor of which is connected to an accumulator 9 is connected via an electrical connection 10 can be reloaded.
- Blower 8 with motor and accumulator are here in a soundproof room in the river of the armchair housed.
- Fig. 2 shows a common in inflatable water wings Valve 18 with valve flaps 19, which in each of the parallel guided drainage channels 15 of the upper cushion 2 (Fig. 1) installed and is closed when the seat is unloaded (Fig. 2c)). Opens under the pressure load of a seated person the valve 18 automatically the further (Fig. 2b)), each the local pressure load is higher. This is wanted because the removal of heat and water vapor Places with high pressure load should be most intense.
- Fig. 3 shows one in the neck cushion 6 of the chair Fig. 1 built-in drainage air collector 5 with an inside Rotary valve 13, the passage window 17 with a contour 14 is designed so that by appropriate Angle adjustment of the rotary valve 13 a body weight and mass adapted drainage air distribution to the parallel Drainage channels 15 is reached.
- Fig. 4 shows a section of an inventive Upholstery with contact surface 3 or 4 for sitting or leaning person with a breathable layer of fabric 1 covered and with an open-pore upper cushion 2 is padded.
- Under the upholstery 2 and separated from it is a layer of a variety of valve closers in Shape of valve plates 20 arranged, which under load by a seated or leaning person accordingly whose contact pressure profile against return springs in Open the shape of coil springs 21 and thus a flow cross-section 22 release for the drainage air that over Drainage channels 41 in the hollow subfloor becomes.
- the valve seats can be circular Holes 23 may be formed in an intermediate floor 24, which over Spacers 40 against the seat pan or a floor 42 is supported.
- the coil springs 21 have a stroke, the Size largely determines the upholstery effect.
- Fig. 5 shows a section of another embodiment of the Invention with a contact surface 3 or 4 for sitting leaning or lying person with whom Valves through appropriately structured foam elements the upholstery are realized. Here are left unencumbered and a stressed section is shown on the right.
- the foam elements 36 which are preferably hexagonal and glued open-pored with the usual upper cushion 37 are and thus put together into a regular grid are structured as follows.
- conical stamp 25 made of open-cell foam the from a slightly softer ring 35 made of open-cell foam is enclosed by the seated person pressure applied against a largely air-impermeable, flexible, but hard to stretch in the longitudinal direction
- Intermediate layer 26 in an open-pore filled with soft foam 27 Stamp pad 28 pressed and thereby pulls the Edge 29 of the element towards the axis 30.
- an annular cavity around each of the loaded elements 31 Through this cavity 31 are the open-pore stamp 25 and ink pad areas 27, 28 fluidly with one another as well as with the drainage channels which discharge the drainage air 32 41 in the seat shell or lower cushion 33, 34 connected.
- FIG. 6 shows another variant.
- a cross contraction of the hexagonal elements 36 by a cylindrical one Buckling surface 38 causes an open-pore, cross-compression switch Core 39 encloses.
- the stiffness of the dent surface 38 is designed so that the dent surface under pressure the elements 36 bulge towards their axes 30, so that an annular cavity 31 is formed, over which the open-pore areas on the sealing intermediate layer 26 over with the coarse-porous that removes the drainage air Lower pads 33, 34 are fluidly connected.
- valves made of foam form according to the variants 5 and 6 the main cushion effecting the cushion effect.
- the upper cushion 2 is manufactured. This will open pores Foam with low transverse contraction stiffness a shape corresponding to the stamps 25 or cores 39 is injected. Then the annular intermediate layer 26 from slightly harder open-cell foam into the gaps sprayed. The underside of the top so shaped comes with an airtight, cross-compression switch Laminated layer. Subsequently, with a honeycomb-like Hexagonal punching tool the intermediate layer 26 cut along the middle surface. This top will then on a correspondingly manufactured congruent lower part glued on, with glue only in the middle of the Cores is applied.
- hexagonal elements prefabricated, which is then mosaic-like to a flat Be configured.
- hexagonal 5 and 6 open-pore with large areas air-permeable top and base layers glued.
- a coarse-pored base layer 51 for the Transport of the drainage air 52 is provided. Parallel to each other lying or twisted spiral springs run to the drainage air collector 53 and thus pose a fluidic, low pressure loss connection.
- the basic template described above lies on this padding 46 as the top layer of the lower cushion 55
- the lower cushion is placed on the upper cushion 56, the lower surface of which the personal top template 47 forms.
- This Top template is with one on the left side of the top view illustrated hole or slot pattern 57 for the Provide air passage, which the optimal removal of heat and moisture, e.g. B. along the spine towards the tailbone and in the crotch area, but also on enables the highly stressed "sit bones".
- This upholstery can also be rib-like or have a spiral structure that allows air to enter particularly favored from the unloaded sides. A net-like, good is recommended as the cover fabric thermally conductive fabric.
- FIG Invention For lying surfaces, especially for pocket spring mattresses, offers the embodiment shown in FIG Invention advantages, however, also for a demanding Seat construction comes into question.
- each pocket 60 is in one piece "Reversal spring” 61 with z. B. tapered core 62, the is enclosed by a cylindrical spring section 63.
- the cylindrical spring section is supported on the top floor 64 of the hollow underbody 65 from, during the somewhat shorter, tapered inner spring section in the unloaded State of the mattress a valve plate 66 in the valve seat 67 pulls.
- the valve disk is pressed against an elastic body 68, its rigidity combined with that of the reversing spring the opening and closing characteristics of the valve certainly.
- the hollow underbody 65 consisting of a closed outer cover 69 and the valve seats 67 included Upper floor 64, can be flexible, e.g. B. from a sufficient be made of stiff natural rubber, so that even with this Mattress can easily be adjusted to the grate is.
- FIGS 9 and 10 show two in terms of manufacture and assembly cheap designs of upholstery according to the Invention.
- Fig. 9 shows in cross section the element of an advantageous Design variant, namely, loaded on the left and unloaded on the right.
- the upholstery contains like the versions 4 to 8 valves with valve closers 82 and sealing Valve seats 87.
- the upholstery of a seat or lying surface here consists of a padding 81, which is made of a somewhat stiffer closed-pore foam and an upholstery 80.
- the upholstery has 80 a strip-like made of closed-cell foam Valve closer 82 in the form of a rib-shaped Thickening on a web 83, the one with a softer open-pored and / or penetrated with drainage holes 84 Compensation layer 85 is connected.
- the upholstery 81 contains cylindrical cavities along its length 86, which serve as drainage channels.
- the cavities are over elongated slots or narrow points open at the top.
- linear valve seats 87 trained on both sides of these constrictions.
- the webs 83 also protrude through the constrictions the valve closers 82 into the cavities 86.
- the under-upholstery 81 is largely permeable to the underside Cover layer 88 laminated, that of mattresses is flexible. According to that of a seated or lying person 70 transferred pressure load are the rib-shaped valve closer 82 into the cylindrical cavities 86 of the upholstery and thus lift off the valve seats 87. This is a fluid connection from the environment under one sitting on the upholstery or lying person 70 and the loaded padding section through to the cavities 86 that are made a suction or pushing fan is connected could be.
- the compressible valve closers are used for simple assembly 82 of the upholstery from above through the valve seats 87 the padding is squeezed or pushed in sideways, in the unloaded case, the valve closers 82 are less Apply preload sealing to valve seats 87.
- valves are integrated into the upholstery.
- the lower cushion is from strip-shaped elements 89 formed, which are the linear Form valve seats 87 and the cavities 86.
- the entire spring and valve closing path incorporated into the upper cushion 80.
- the valve closers 82 are designed to be sufficiently compressible, if they pass through the valve seats 87 during the initial assembly can be pressed into the larger drainage cavity 86 in the sub-floor should be.
- This configuration remains simple for cleaning or recycling can be dismantled because the upholstery and seat shell are glued together is unnecessary.
- valve closers are shown in FIGS. 9 and 10 82 as a rotationally symmetrical (spherical) body and the constrictions with the valve seats 87 as conical bores to understand.
- FIGS. 9 and 10 82 are rotationally symmetrical (spherical) body and the constrictions with the valve seats 87 as conical bores to understand.
- valve layer With today's manufacturing technology for foam products could be the valve layer from elements 82, 87 very much thin, e.g. B. with a thickness of only 10 mm, down to the thickness of a strong upholstery fabric.
- a valve layer cushion as a thin one Seat cushion on a padding that is now very easy to carry out hang up the area to a drainage air supply connected.
- For access to the drainage air under a seated person could be the one facing that person Side of the valve layer cushion z. B. have a rib structure, which forms a groove - shaped upper drainage, that of an open-pore, but firm, so not stretchy Upholstery fabric could be covered. This acts as a dust filter, for rapid internal contamination of the valve layer to prevent, and as a barrier against Flow blockage of the upper drainage z. B. in that the fibers of a woolen fabric under the pressure of the seated Press the person into these spaces.
- the invention provides equip the extraction fan with an overload level, so that when this level is switched on a significantly increased Vacuum suction in the cavities arises due to this the valves even without a seated load Open person.
- FIG. 11 in longitudinal section, according to the invention designed mattress 110, which e.g. a multi-cushion layer 118 with valves integrated therein according to FIG. 9 has an air inlet duct 111 at the foot end, which with all drainage channels 112 in the padding 113 communicates.
- the air inlet duct can be via a 114 indicated, adjustable throttle valve with the ambient atmosphere get connected.
- This throttle valve 114 When fully opened of this throttle valve 114 would drain air flow through the lying area 115 occupied by the person largely through decrease because of the negative pressure in the drainage channels 112 can be greatly reduced by opening the throttle valve would. This allows easy adjustment to the seasonal Relationships.
- mattresses are designed to ventilate time too Time. This is particularly the case for older people People heavy and will by the configuration described 11 unnecessary.
- Suction fan shown built-in humidity sensor (at 119) and / or a temperature sensor (at 120) can be automatically Switch-off times or control values for the blower output pretend.
- a timer can be provided be the operating time of the blower on two Hours limited.
- the exhaust air flow can thus be dependent on the humidity and temperature adjustable to suit needs control the seated or lying person.
- FIGS. 12 and 13 represents a further development the construction according to FIG. 9 or FIG. 10 an inflatable air mattress.
- the in Figs. 9 and 10 provided padding 81 is here by inflatable Hollow chambers 90 replaced, which by gluing the airtight Bottom 88 with the air-tight forming the valve seats 87 Protuberances 91 are generated.
- the upholstery 80 is inflatable through a system Hollow chambers 92 replaced, which by gluing one of the Lower layer 93 forming valve closer 82 with an upper layer 94 are generated.
- the Provide upholstery with openings 95. Through these openings can drain air from the mattress when the mattress is loaded Flow the upholstery into the cavities 86.
- the after Inflating wavy top layer 94 is with a porous cushion layer 1 covered.
- the drainage air is through the cavities 86, which is through a collector 100 (FIG. 12) are summarized, a miniature blower 101 fed. Adequate ventilation in many cases is here also without connection to a sucking or pressing Blower achievable through thermal effects.
- the air mattress according to FIGS. 12 and 13 can be on fold small volume and offers in particular Suction operation even when traveling in hygienically ongoing Areas on hotel beds protect against infection and Parasites without this being otherwise caused by an air mattress typical air impermeability and consequently strong Sweating would have to be bought.
- the room air has a relative humidity of 90% at a temperature of 27 ° C. Under such conditions, a person would evaporate about 1 liter of water in the course of a night. Half of this could be stored in the mattress without remedial measures. If one assumes that the drainage air is warmed up by 5 ° C and brought to 95% relative humidity, the required amount of drainage air is calculated from approx. 50 kg distributed over 10 hours, ie approx. 6 m 3 air per hour. This amount of drainage air results in connection with a required suction vacuum of approx. 100 Pa with a pump efficiency of 30% in electrical power of only approx. 0.5 W.
- the opening size of the valve means is as follows:
- FIGS 4 to 6 and 8 to 13 show largely to scale Cuts through upholstery, according to the invention Valve means are integrated, which, measured on the Layer thickness of the upholstery, a long way from 20 - 80% cushion the total cushion thickness elastically.
- valve means are dimensioned so that the valve closer 20 cover a stroke 1 can, the maximum of about 50% of the thickness of the padding is. Even at the end of this stroke that shows Valve has a residual opening cross-section sufficient for ventilation because the seat comfort improves plate-shaped cover 20a at the end of the valve axis 20b has a smaller diameter dp than the valve seat ds.
- the dimensioning of the valves made of upholstered foam is also largely to scale. While the upper drainage layer 37 and the lower drainage channels or layers 33, 34 are primarily flexible but hardly compressible, the cushion valve layer 36, 39 is designed to be both flexible and compressible.
- the dimensions B and H PV of the, for example, hexagonal valves should be in the order of 40-90% of the total thickness H of the cushion structure, which is usually between 50 and 200 mm.
- the thickness d TD of the tangential drainage layer 37 arranged towards the contacting person should be between 3 and 15 mm.
- the lower drainage layer or channels which can be made up of a finely structured layer 33 and a coarser layer 34.
- the essential thing is that Element that determines the cushion effect, namely the spiral spring 61, even the elastic actuator for the valve plate 66.
- the coil spring 61 has a height Hs which is 60-80% of Thickness H of the mattress is.
- the one for spring or pocket spring mattresses usual distances can be maintained become.
- the height H PV of the upholstery valve which is linear or cylindrical in the longitudinal direction of the upholstery, can be up to approximately 95% of the total thickness H of the upholstery, because the underdrainage 86 is integrated into the underpadding 81 forming the valve seat.
- the distance t v between adjacent linear valves can vary between approximately 0.3 ⁇ H and 1.5 ⁇ H.
- Diameter d B and pitch t B of the drainage holes can be varied within a wide range, as is known from upholstery technology, of course with the aim of realizing the smallest possible pressure loss.
