- the present invention relates to a shoe, in particular a sport shoe, comprising an external sole on which is mounted a rod open towards the front, to allow the passage of the foot and comprising for this purpose an internal quarter and an external quarter connected together by a system of closure, constituted by a lace or cable, according to a determined alternative route, a series of deflection elements arranged in a fixed manner on either side of said districts near their respective edges located opposite and defining a zone of lacing, so that during an action on the two free ends of the strands of the lace or cable being effected by traction, the latter acts in clamping on the quarters, by means of the return elements, to bring them closer together. - the present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks by proposing a lacing device allowing, by a single action, carried out simultaneously on the free ends of the strands of the lace or cable, to obtain an easy tightening and distributed in a controlled manner, uniformly over the whole length of the lacing area.
- the invention relates to a shoe of the aforementioned type, characterized in that the lacing zone is broken down into three tightening sectors, namely:
- a first primary tightening sector directed towards the front of the shoe corresponding substantially to the articulation zone of the metatarsals of the foot and constituting a lower part of the lacing zone directly stressed by a first strand of the lace or cable during '' a pull exerted on it from its free end
- a second primary tightening sector directed towards the rear of the shoe corresponding substantially to the area of the flexion of the foot and constituting an upper part of the lacing area directly stressed by the second strand of the lace or cable during a traction exerted thereon, the strands exerting a simultaneous action on said first and second primary clamping sectors, from their free ends,
- a third secondary tightening sector located between the first and second sectors, corresponding substantially to the instep area and constituting a central part of the lacing area, the tightening of which is carried out successively to that of the first and second sectors by progressive transmission of the tensile forces exerted on said strands of the lace or cable from their free ends.

- the sports shoe designated as a whole and represented in FIG. 3 comprises an external sole 10 on which is mounted a rod 11 open towards the front, to allow the passage of the foot and comprising for this purpose an internal quarter 12 and a quarter external 13 connected to each other by a closure system 14 constituted in this case by a lace 15 forming two strands 15a and 15b connecting together, according to a determined route, a series of return elements 1 to 7 fixedly fixed in part and other of said districts 12, 13, near their respective edges 12a, 13a located opposite.
- edges 12a, 13a define between them a lacing zone 16, so that during an action on the free ends A, B of the strands 15a and 15b of the lace 15, effected by means of traction means 17 , these act in clamping on the quarters 12, 13, by means of the return elements 1 to 7.

- the lacing zone 16 is divided into three tightening sectors, namely:
- a second primary tightening sector P2 directed towards the rear (AR) of the shoe corresponding substantially to the area of the flexion fold of the foot and constituting an upper part of the lacing area 16 directly stressed by the other strand 15a of the lace 15 during a traction exerted on it, the strands 15a, 15b exerting a simultaneous traction on said first and second sectors, respectively P1, P2, of primary tightening, from their free ends A, B (see figure 5),
- a third secondary clamping sector S located between the first and second sectors P1, P2, corresponding substantially to the instep area and constituting a central part C of the lacing zone 16, the clamping of which is carried out successively to that of the first and second sectors P1, P2 by progressive transmission of the tensile forces exerted on the strands 15a and 15b of the lace 15 from their free ends A, B (see FIG. 6).
- the first primary clamping sector P1 comprises at least three deflection elements 5, 6, 7 two of which 6, 7 located on either side of the inner 12 and outer 13 quarters are directed towards the front (AV) of the boot and are connected together by an end loop I, common to the two strands 15a, 15b of the lace 15.
- the third return element 5 is directed towards the rear (AR) of the shoe relative to the preceding ones, and one of the strands 15b forms, from this return 5 and after having bypassed one of the previous elements 6, an inverted double loop I, II, III whose free end B is directly connected to the traction means 17 (see FIG. 4).
- the second primary clamping sector P2 comprises at least two deflection elements 1, 2 arranged towards the rear (AR) of said shoe on either side of the internal 12 and external 13 quarters of the upper 11, and joined together by a double inverted loop IV, V, VI formed by one of the strands 15a of the lace or cable 15 whose free end A is directly connected to the traction means 17 (see FIG. 5).
- the third secondary clamping sector S comprises at least two deflection elements 3, 4 arranged on either side of the internal 12 and external 13 quarters, in an intermediate zone C, joined together by a double inverted loop IV , VII, VIII formed by one of the strands 15a of the lace or cable 15 (see FIG. 6).
- the strand 15a forms from its free end A
- the successive loops VI, V, IV, VII, VIII and the strand 15b forms from its free end B
- the successive loops III, II, I the successive loops III, II, I .
- the reference elements 1 to 7 are therefore in an odd number, one of the districts 12 comprising a number n + 1: that is to say four, 1, 3, 5, 7, by relative to the other 13 by including a number n: that is to say three, 2, 4, 6.
- the deflection elements are arranged in an offset fashion on the opposite quarters in order to have a substantially horizontal path of the loops I, II VIII.
- the return elements 1 to 7 are at least seven in number, of which four 1, 3, 5, 7 are arranged on one of the quarters 12 of the rod 11 and three, 2, 4, 6 on the other quarter 13 but as shown in FIG. 8, one can easily imagine that the return elements 3, 5, 7 and 2, 4, 6 of each of the quarters 12, 13 of the rod 11 are arranged in screws with the exception of one of them 1 directed towards the rear (AR) of the shoe.
- the traction means 17 are constituted by a mechanical locking device secured to the boot and actuated by a tensioning lever in connection with the free ends A, B of the strands 15a, 15b of the lace 15.
- a guide element 18 may be provided, integral with one of the quarters 13 comprising n return elements and interposed between the device locking 17 and the first return elements 1, 2 of each of the strands 15a, 15b of the lace or cable 15.
- the traction means can also be manual, the immobilization of the strands 15a and 15b of the lace 15 being effected by a knot 19 made at the ends A, B of said strands.
- the return elements 1 to 9 are studs crimped onto the quarters 12, 13 of the rod 11 and capable of being circumvented by the strands 15a, 15b of the lace or cable 15.
- the return elements 1 to 9 are eyelets produced on the quarters 12, 13 of the rod 11 and capable of being crossed by the strands 15a, 15b of the lace or cable 15.
- each of the return elements 1 to 9 supports only one strand 15a, 15b of the lace or cable 15.
- the strand 15b first moves the element 5 successively, then 6, then 7, etc. This has the consequence of moving:
- the tightening thus produced allows a more homogeneous distribution of the tightening tension while being carried out very quickly and without any pressure on the foot.
- Polyamide cables will be used in preference to laces for faster transmission of the tightening forces and a more efficient and faster tightening.
