Abstract

A packaging unit (18) for articles, such as small electronic equipment, glassware or ceramics, which are sensitive to jolting is characterised by at least one flat web of material (20, 22) and at least one spacer (26, 28) made of corrugated or solid cardboard which is fixed to the flat web of material (20, 22).

In den Fig. 2 bis 4 ist ein Polsterkarton 50 dargestellt, auf dessen Innenseiten Abstandshalter 52 angeordnet sind. Der Polsterkarton 50 weist zwei Seitenlängsteile 54, ein Deckelteil 56, ein Bodenteil 58 und ein Verschlußteil 60 auf. Wie der Zuschnittsdarstellung gemäß Fig. 3 zu entnehmen ist, schließen an ein Seitenlängsteil 54 auf beiden Seiten jeweils ein Seitenflügel 62 an. Mit Ausnahme des Verschlußteils 60 weisen sämtliche andere Teile des Kartons jeweils zwei Abstandshalter 52 auf, die parallel zueinander angeordnet sind. Die Abstandshalter 52 haben die selbe Form wie die Abstandshalter 26, 28 des Verpackungskissens gemäß Fig. 1. Lediglich die Seitenflügel 62 weisen jeweils ein Abstandshalterpaar 66 auf, das aus einer einzigen Materialbahn gebildet ist, d. h. daß zwischen den beiden V-förmigen Querschnittsspitzen ein gemeinsamer Steg 68 vorhanden ist. Dabei verlaufen die Abstandshalter 52, 66 nahezu über die gesamte Höhe des jeweiligen Teils, wobei die Abstandshalter nicht ganz bis zum Randbereich des betreffenden Teils reichen, damit sich beim Zusammenfalten des Kartons die Abstandshalter der einzelnen Teile nicht gegenseitig beschädigen. Beim Faltvorgang des Polsterkartons 50 werden zunächst die Seitenlängsteile 54 und das Bodenteil entsprechend rechtwinklig zueinander gefaltet. Die Stirnseiten werden dann mit je einem Seitenflügel 62 geschlossen, wobei die Seitenflügel 62 über Laschen 64 an die Seitenlängsteile 54 angeschlossen sind.
