Definitions
- the invention relates to a safety binding for snowboards, consisting of holding devices for both ski boots that trigger in the event of overload or critical loading, which trigger synchronously when forces leading to release act on at least one holding device for a ski shoe.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a safety binding for snowboards of the type specified at the outset, in which the two holding devices for the two ski boots trigger synchronously if critical forces or forces leading to injuries act on at least one leg. These can occur with snowboarding as with skiing (forces when falling forward or backward and / or when turning the leg due to the long lever ski), but here with an additional danger variant, namely the lateral tilting of the leg and boot in the direction of Inner or outer knuckles.
- this object is achieved in the case of a security binding of the generic type by the characterizing features of claim 1.
- all holding devices are combined in a single kinematic force chain, which contains at least one energy store. It is therefore a single holding force that passes through all the holding and releasing points of the ski boots or the sole plates assigned to them, with the entire course of the power flow being interrupted at this point in the event of forced release and thus removal of a sole plate as a result of the empty space that then arises, as a result of which the energy accumulator is emptied and the holding force is immediately the same on the other side of the power chain sam becomes, so that there is synchronous triggering with the triggering of the first ski boot or the first holding plate connected to it.
- a sole plate provided with detachable fastening devices for the ski shoe is provided, which is provided on its opposite narrow sides with a latching recess or latching projection, into which, on the one hand, an elastic or rigid with the board connected locking projection or recess and on the other hand, a locking projection or recess provided on a transmission element, e.g.
- the power or energy store can also be a hydraulic system with a cylinder and piston, an air spring, a combination thereof or a magnet.
- the Bowden cable can also run through a hydraulic or pneumatic line or through electricity de cables are replaced, the latter when using a magnet.
- the safety binding according to the invention always leads to a solution of both sole plates, even if only one sole plate is triggered due to an overload or critical load acting on it. Because if the arm provided with the locking projection of a two-armed lever is released after the locking projection protrudes from the locking recess, the spring preload on the other two-armed lever arm is lost, so that the other sole plate is also released without force. Since the two release devices of both sole plates are coupled by preferably flexible Bowden cables - optionally also with a changeable linkage - the sole plates can be attached anywhere on the snowboard, so that the snowboarder is not prevented by the safety binding from the increments preferred by him and angle positions and the attachment points for the shoes on the snowboard can be chosen independently of one another.
- each soleplate is only held by two latching projections, each of which engages in latching recesses, the soleplate is triggered when tensile, pushing or tilting forces act on it.
- the safety binding according to the invention thus triggers practically under all possible occurring loads. If a separate setting option for the particularly dangerous tilting forces is desired, the bearing point of the two levers can also be resiliently height-elastic to an adjustable extent.
- At least one of the bearings holding the inner ends of the Bowden cable support sleeves is movable and adjustable for changing the spring preload and can be fixed at different distances from the other bearing.
- By moving one or the other Both bearings can change the spring preload and thus the holding force in the desired manner.
- To change the position of the camp this this can be moved in a guide and z.
- a spindle with an adjustment scale can be arranged for adjustment. It is also possible to provide different locking points for the bearing, in which it can be fixed by means of screws.
- a lever-tensioning device is provided, which moves the inner ends of the wire cables of the two Bowden cables against the spring tension away from one another.
- this spring-extending tensioning device which thus deprives the spring of its force acting on the Bowden cables, the safety binding can then be released arbitrarily and the sole plates can be inserted or removed. Since the ski boots with their usual soles can be fastened to the plates by means of releasable fastening devices, there is normally no need to detach the plates which are provided with the safety release devices from the board when the skier attaches to or frees himself from the snowboard want. After the plates have been triggered by a fall, however, the above device is useful for reinstallation.
- the inner ends of the wire cables of both Bowden cables are connected to each other or that a single continuous Bowden cable, the ends of the cable cables are attached to the other arms of the two-armed lever, is provided and that the abutments for the pivotable locking projections forming locking projections are cushioned with a force corresponding to the holding force.
- the locking projection held on the ski triggers, so that those provided on the two-armed levers Locking projections only have a holding function.
- the sole plates are expediently supported with respect to the ski by blocks which can be moved forwards or backwards, inwards or outwards. These blocks allow the best possible tilting moments of the soleplate to be set on all sides, which favors the release when dangerous or critical forces occur.
- a sole plate which has a pin running transversely to the longitudinal direction, which protrudes on both sides to form two preferably rounded locking projections on the sole plate.
- latching projections one engages in a latching recess arranged in a bearing block, while the other engages in a latching recess in a spring-loaded pivot bearing.
- This spring-loaded pivot bearing is pivotally mounted about a pivot axis running parallel to the soleplate.
- a spring bolt acts on the pivot bearing from the outside, and in the rest position of the safety binding, the pivot bearing is pressed with its latching recess against the corresponding latching projection, so that the pivot bearing remains in the rest position with respect to its pivot axis.
- the steel core of a Bowden cable is connected to the spring bolt, the support sleeve of which is supported in the snowboard-fixed bearing block.
- the other end of the wire core is connected to a correspondingly designed pivot bearing on the other sole plate.
- the shape of the sole plate 2 is adapted to the shape of the sole of a ski shoe, so that the ski shoe can be placed on this sole plate 2 and can be detachably fixed thereon by known and not shown holding devices.
- the sole plate 2 is provided in its central area or in the beginning area of the heel on opposite narrow sides with dome-like locking recesses 3, 4.
- a corresponding dome-like locking projection 8 which is arranged at the free end of the arm 9 of a two-arm angle lever 10, engages in the opposite spherical shell-shaped recess 4.
- the end 12 of the wire rope core 13 of the Bowden cable 14 is fastened.
- the ends of the support sleeves of the Bowden cable 14 are held in ski-fixed bearing blocks 15, 16.
- the inner end 17 of the wire rope core 13 is connected to one end of the tension spring 20 by a connecting part.
- the other end of the tension spring 20 is connected to the inner end 17 'of the wire rope core 13' of the other Bowden cable 14 '.
- the other bearing block 15 'for the inner end of the other Bowden cable 14' is displaceable or displaceable on an adjustment rail and can be fixed in different positions. Toothing or clamping screws can be provided.
- a toggle lever opening mechanism 22 is provided, the toggle lever ends of which engage on the inner ends 17, 17 'of the wire cables.
- Cleat-like support blocks 24 can be fastened under the sole plate 2 in the manner shown in FIG. 2, by means of which different tilting moments can be set. In order to increase or decrease the tilting moments, the stud-like support elements 24 are displaced further inwards or outwards and screwed. The corresponding screw holes 25 prepared in the sole plate 2 are indicated in FIG. 2.
- FIG. 3 different forms of the support blocks used in the embodiment of FIG. 2 are shown in perspective.
- the locking projection 8 is arranged to be vertically deflectable.
- a screw bolt 25 which is perpendicular to the angle lever and on which the locking projection 8 is slidably seated.
- the locking projection can be deflected upwards against a compression spring 26 in the vertical direction.
- the pretension of the compression spring can be adjusted by a screw nut 27 correspondingly seated on the screw bolt 25.
- a locking lug 28 with a triangular cross section is formed on the underside of the locking projection 8 and is recessed into a correspondingly shaped recess in a seat 29 provided at the free end of the arm 9 for the locking projection 8 .
- FIG. 5 shows a further embodiment of the security binding.
- the with the recess 4 'in the sole plate 2' engaging two-armed lever 10 ' is connected via a linkage 30 with the air cushion or gas pressure spring 20' serving as a force accumulator in this embodiment.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a safety binding for snowboards, consisting of holding devices for both ski boots that trigger in the event of overload or critical loading, which trigger synchronously when forces leading to release act on at least one holding device for a ski shoe.
Snowboarding is becoming increasingly popular. In order to release the snowboarder's ski boot in the event of dangerous falls, sole plates that are not unlike the previous plate safety ski bindings are usually used, which are firmly screwed to the snowboard as half or full plates. It has been shown that serious leg injuries, in particular knee and thigh injuries, have repeatedly occurred which have given snowboarding a reputation as a dangerous sport and even call it into question.
It is known that releasing only one binding, ie releasing only one leg of the snowboard driver in the event of a fall, is not sufficient to protect the snowboard driver from injuries. If one leg of the snowboard rider remains connected to the snowboard, there is an increased risk of injury to the snowboard in the event of a fall board connected leg, because the snowboard rider can no longer master the snowboard with just one leg. It is therefore a requirement for safety bindings for snowboards that they have to trigger synchronously in the event of a fall or in the event of excessive loads acting on the snowboard driver or legs.
This is a requirement without having found a solution. The object of the invention is therefore to provide a safety binding for snowboards of the type specified at the outset, in which the two holding devices for the two ski boots trigger synchronously if critical forces or forces leading to injuries act on at least one leg. These can occur with snowboarding as with skiing (forces when falling forward or backward and / or when turning the leg due to the long lever ski), but here with an additional danger variant, namely the lateral tilting of the leg and boot in the direction of Inner or outer knuckles.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in the case of a security binding of the generic type by the characterizing features of
According to the teaching of the invention, all holding devices are combined in a single kinematic force chain, which contains at least one energy store.
Accordingly, according to an advantageous embodiment, it is provided that for each of the ski shoes a sole plate provided with detachable fastening devices for the ski shoe is provided, which is provided on its opposite narrow sides with a latching recess or latching projection, into which, on the one hand, an elastic or rigid with the board connected locking projection or recess and on the other hand, a locking projection or recess provided on a transmission element, e.g. the arm of a two-armed lever pivotally mounted on the board, engages in that on the other arms of the two two-armed levers one end of the wire cables of two Bowden cables is attached are that the ends of the support sleeves of the two Bowden cables are held in board-fixed bearings and that the other ends of the two wire cables between the opposite on-board bearings of the inner ends of the support sleeves at the ends of an energy spoke rs are attached, the force of which z. B. in a tension or compression spring which, via one of the lever arms, acts on the movable latching projections which engage in the latching recesses with the required holding force, so that the two forces, each holding a plate via the latching bearing, at one end of the energy accumulator or the tension spring or pull the compression spring and thereby these holding forces lose their balanced position and z. B. the total spring force collapses when it is triggered on one side, that is, with a plate. The power or energy store can also be a hydraulic system with a cylinder and piston, an air spring, a combination thereof or a magnet. The Bowden cable can also run through a hydraulic or pneumatic line or through electricity de cables are replaced, the latter when using a magnet.
The safety binding according to the invention always leads to a solution of both sole plates, even if only one sole plate is triggered due to an overload or critical load acting on it.
Since each soleplate is only held by two latching projections, each of which engages in latching recesses, the soleplate is triggered when tensile, pushing or tilting forces act on it. The safety binding according to the invention thus triggers practically under all possible occurring loads. If a separate setting option for the particularly dangerous tilting forces is desired, the bearing point of the two levers can also be resiliently height-elastic to an adjustable extent.
In a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that at least one of the bearings holding the inner ends of the Bowden cable support sleeves is movable and adjustable for changing the spring preload and can be fixed at different distances from the other bearing. By moving one or the other Both bearings can change the spring preload and thus the holding force in the desired manner. To change the position of the camp this can be moved in a guide and z. B. a spindle with an adjustment scale can be arranged for adjustment. It is also possible to provide different locking points for the bearing, in which it can be fixed by means of screws.
In a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that a lever-tensioning device is provided, which moves the inner ends of the wire cables of the two Bowden cables against the spring tension away from one another. By tensioning this spring-extending tensioning device, which thus deprives the spring of its force acting on the Bowden cables, the safety binding can then be released arbitrarily and the sole plates can be inserted or removed.
According to another embodiment, it is provided that the inner ends of the wire cables of both Bowden cables are connected to each other or that a single continuous Bowden cable, the ends of the cable cables are attached to the other arms of the two-armed lever, is provided and that the abutments for the pivotable locking projections forming locking projections are cushioned with a force corresponding to the holding force. In this embodiment, the locking projection held on the ski triggers, so that those provided on the two-armed levers Locking projections only have a holding function.
The sole plates are expediently supported with respect to the ski by blocks which can be moved forwards or backwards, inwards or outwards. These blocks allow the best possible tilting moments of the soleplate to be set on all sides, which favors the release when dangerous or critical forces occur.
Another embodiment variant of the safety binding according to the invention is that for each of the ski boots a sole plate is provided which has a pin running transversely to the longitudinal direction, which protrudes on both sides to form two preferably rounded locking projections on the sole plate. Of these latching projections, one engages in a latching recess arranged in a bearing block, while the other engages in a latching recess in a spring-loaded pivot bearing. This spring-loaded pivot bearing is pivotally mounted about a pivot axis running parallel to the soleplate. A spring bolt acts on the pivot bearing from the outside, and in the rest position of the safety binding, the pivot bearing is pressed with its latching recess against the corresponding latching projection, so that the pivot bearing remains in the rest position with respect to its pivot axis.
The steel core of a Bowden cable is connected to the spring bolt, the support sleeve of which is supported in the snowboard-fixed bearing block. The other end of the wire core is connected to a correspondingly designed pivot bearing on the other sole plate.

At the end of the
In order to be able to change the bias of the
In order to solve the sole plates 2.2 'also arbitrarily, is a toggle
Cleat-like support blocks 24 can be fastened under the
In Fig. 3 different forms of the support blocks used in the embodiment of FIG. 2 are shown in perspective.
2′ beim Abkippen über die Stützklötze 24 freigegeben.4 shows a specially designed two-
The with the recess 4 'in the sole plate 2' engaging two-armed lever 10 'is connected via a
The coupling system between the two
A further embodiment of the safety binding according to FIGS. of the present invention, here only one
When a corresponding triggering force acts, the
