Bien que ce dispositif permette un choix important d'aliments, il présente de nombreux inconvénients. D'une part, ce dispositif de l'état de la technique réclame' un ensemble de manipulations assez compliquées, qui en vue d'assurer un bon fonctionnement, doit comporter d'importants circuits électroniques; il en résulte que la fragilité de l'appareil est augmentée et également le prix. Par ailleurs, la recherche du plat sélectionné au moyen d'un clavier numérique oblige l'usager à retenir un code correspondant au plat choisi, puis à le composer manuellement sur ledit clavier. De plus, le temps de transfert du dispositif de préhension vers le four en vue de la cuisson, à partir de l'ordre introduit sur le clavier numérique, est trop long pour un usage intensif.There is known an automatic food distributor in which a storage device is coupled with a microwave oven.
