Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an arrangement and a method for recording and processing by means of sensors biosignals tapped from a patient, in particular for electrocardiography, the biosignals with tapped on a patient by means of several sensors and in a signal converter into electrical analog signals le implemented, strengthened and evaluated.
For electrocardiography are in medical practices mainly uses special equipment, one with Pa multi-channel client electrode connections working device for signal processing the arrive the signal level and for the display and output of the prepared data in a recorder and given if on a monitor. With newer special devices it is also known, the incoming measurement data to be prepared in such a way that they are transferred to a computer can be saved and processed there. With the known devices, the prepared ECG Data queried via complex logic circuits and syn transferred chronically to an evaluation unit. At a such logic circuit is perceived as disadvantageous, that only relatively rigid functional sequences are realized that can. To receive the data, the Compu on the other side requires elaborate electronics, which at for example in the form of a plug-in card in the computer must be installed. This design is not for everyone the computer suitable and expected during installation special practical knowledge from the user.
Based on this, the object of the invention reasons, an arrangement and a method for detecting and processing of bio-signals of the initially specified to develop a way with which in connection with a commercially available, possibly battery-operated Personal computer a both when installing and easy to handle, even in professional use and yet powerful construction can be achieved can.
To solve this problem, the in the patent say 1 and 11 combinations of features suggested. Advantageous refinements and further formations of the invention result from the dependent Claims.
The solution to the invention is based on the idea de, the biosignals tapped on the patient in one as light as possible, possibly battery operated Prepare handheld device so far and in a log to summarize that as simple as possible and fast transfer to one at almost every trade usual personal computer existing interface without Intervention in the computer is possible. To achieve this Chen, it is proposed according to the invention that Signal converter one the analog signals by means of a Analog-digital converter under the control of a Microcontroller converting digital individual data Di gital unit and one connected to the digital unit and to a standard serial interface of a computer connectable, unidirectional single-channel transfer transmission device are connected downstream, the Sig nalumformer and the digital unit in one preference This battery-powered portable handheld device is arranged are and the transmission device in the Handge advises arranged transmitter module and one under galvanic Separation preferably via an optical fiber or a conductor-free electromagnetic transmission path coupled to the transmitter module on the serial Stan the interface has a connectable receiving module.
In order for the power supply of the receiving module without too additional wiring effort the computer side To be able to tap the power supply is according to one preferred embodiment of the invention proposed that the receiving module has a power supply stage points to at least one, preferably as a data or control line trained, soft on the computer can be set to a defined voltage level Connecting cable of the standard serial interface is closable. The power supply is advantageous level on at least two at the same voltage level gel set, parallel connected programmable on connecting lines of the standard serial interface closable. This makes one especially at higher ones Data transfer speeds required, he increased current draw from the computer side Stromver supply enables.
The receiving module is expediently preferred in one with a 9 or 25-pin subminiature D connector the adapter housing provided, the width essentially the width of one of the serial standard Interface assigned slot on the Rech ner corresponds. This leaves the neighboring An closing slots of the computer even after connecting the Access module accessible.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the Invention are those coming from the individual sensors digital individual data at equal time intervals the microcontroller readable and according to a predefined a protocol in a protocol frame for data blocks connectable with each other. This enables the di individual data from the temporal development of the Derive biosignals and without handshaking to the computer ner to transfer.
It is to reduce the memory requirement in the computer advantageous if the in a protocol frame to the standard serial interface of the computer NEN data in a preferably as a ring buffer trained buffer of the central computer after are mutually storable.
To enable a comprehensive evaluation, the individual data stored in the buffer partly processable via computer software and can be displayed graphically on a display device or in a mass storage.
To protect the patient from mains voltage and for ver avoidance of external interference by ground loops it is advantageous if the portable handheld device is battery-powered is fed and the transmitter module via a light wave conductor or a conductor-free electromagnetic over transmission line with the standard serial cut place connectable receiving module can be coupled.
For the procedural solution of the invention task it is proposed that the analog signals in an Ana log-digital converter in the individual sensors ordered digital individual data that the Individual data from several sensors microprocessor controlled continuously read in at equal intervals and in packed in a protocol frame and bit by frame riell and unidirectional with galvanic isolation a standard serial interface of a computer will carry that over the serial interface incoming protocol frames in the computer via a single seroutine in the order of their transmission stored in a buffer memory and during the transmission pauses via a readout routine read from the buffer memory, with the resolution of the Protocol frame implemented in the individual data, to the mistake ler and / or status detection evaluated and on hand over the calling program for further processing become.
The read-in routing is advantageously called ne by an interrupt control over the serial Standard interface.
To monitor the operational functions of the signal converter The protocol frames are also advantageously included one with physical parameters of the signal converter mers, especially the state of charge of a battery, kor related status value.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the Invention are the intermediate in the ring buffer saved protocol frames regarding their transmission read out asynchronously. This makes it possible to Timely read in from the import routine frames largely independent of their transmission through an independently working readout routine evaluate.
For a high time resolution when recording the bio it is advantageous if the protocol frame with a transmission rate of at least 50,000 bit / s, preferably at least 100,000 bit / s to serial Standard interface are transferred. So that's it possible at the same time, so many single dates per time to transmit that incorrect data without essential falsification of the measurement can be discarded.

The facility provided by the microcontroller 36 as di gitalisierte individual data at the output of the analog-to-digital converter 34 tapped and temporarily stored ECG signals to the personal computer 28 is carried out as follows: The dimensional by a simple plug connection to the personal computer 28 to be adapted unidirektio communicator 24 requires that the data be transferred without handshaking. For this purpose, the individual data assigned to the individual sensors 14 are integrated into a protocol frame according to a transmission protocol specified by the programming of the microcontroller 36 . In addition, the protocol frames are provided with status values generated by monitoring electronics, which are correlated with physical parameters of the signal converter 30 , in particular the state of charge of the battery 40 . The protocol frames are then transmitted under control by the microcontroller 36 as a bit-serial data stream with a transmission speed of 115,200 bit / s via the optical waveguide 20 to the receiver 48 .
The further realized by a computer software from the process for reading and processing the incoming on the RxD line 46 of the serial interface 26 protocol frame is illustrated by the diagrams shown in FIGS . 4 and 5. Each data byte of the serially transmitted protocol frame arriving at the RS-232-C interface 26 triggers an interrupt request IRQ, the reception of which activates a read-in routine. The read-in routine reads in the character from the interface 26 and carries out a simple check for transmission errors. Thereafter, the character is either discarded as faulty or stored in a buffer memory of the personal computer 28 designed as a ring memory. In this way, the protocol frames are continuously buffered character by character according to their temporal sequence, without an excessively large memory area being necessary for this.
After the read-in process has ended, a read-out routine is called which reads out the buffer memory during the transmission pauses. The readout routine reads individual characters from the buffer memory until a protocol frame is complete. Then the protocol frame is compared with the specified transmission protocol and either rejected as incorrect or further processed with algebraic conversion of the individual data into EKG measured values and evaluation of the status information. The results of the protocol evaluation are transferred to a user-controlled foreground program, with the aid of which the status information is displayed and the EKG measured values are further processed using various evaluation methods, can be graphically displayed on a display device 58, for example as line diagrams, or can be stored in a mass memory 60 .
In summary, the following can be stated: The invention relates to an arrangement for detecting and processing th EKG signals tapped by means of sensors 14 on a patient 12 for electrocardiography. The EKG signals are recorded via the patient connection cable 10 connected to the sensors 14 , converted into electrical analog signals in a signal converter 30 , subsequently converted into digital individual data by means of an analog-digital converter 34 under the control of a microcontroller 36 and via a unidirectional one single-channel transmission device 24 is transmitted to a serial standard interface 26 of a computer 28 . The signal converter 30 , the A / D converter and the microcontroller are arranged in a portable device 16 . The transmission device 24 has a transmission module 18 arranged in the hand-held device 16 and a reception module 22 which is coupled to the transmission module 18 with electrical isolation and can be connected to the serial standard interface 26 .
